I stopped by here with friends and they got the lavender honey latte that was on the special board. The latte had little of the espresso flavor, and more so of the honey flavor. The lavender, surprisingly, was light and pretty good. Their pastries were pretty good as well. The scone was not dry at all and had great flavor.

The coffee is very good. They use Califia almond milk, which made me super happy! It’s such a good quality milk alternative. The latte was smooth and overall delicious. I had to stop myself from gulping it down… Anyway, they also have a kitchen in a separate location where they make all of their own pastries and small food items. I thought that was pretty rad! I give it 4 stars because it was a little more expensive than I would have liked to pay, but what can ya do? It’s Seattle after all.

Super friendly and speedy service but the coffee was just ok. I’m afraid that it just doesn’t get any better than Espresso Vivace on Broadway. Ordered my standard, a skinny mocha and was underwhelmed which sucks because the space is cute and the staff are more than happy to have you there. It feels like a proper local coffee shop, one which I’d love to help support but given it’s a bit far from the homestead and parking can be a nightmare, it’s unfortunately just not going to make the cut. There is also a huge problem with the seating in this coffee shop in that there is a lack of seating — so many people pounding away on their Macs, taking up two spaces or entire tables.

driving back in the car, I think I said«this coffee is SO good» about 4 times to my boyfriend and pretty sure he got the point. this café knows how to make a delicious latte, the espresso wasn’t too strong and the almond milk was steamed perfectly. definitely coming back here next time I am in the neighborhood.

I like Ladro quite a bit. It’s closeness to the bus stop sure is a plus! Lovely line of seating at the window and generally quite a pleasant, open space! They also have a nice line of outdoor seating if you want to keep a closer eye on 15th. Consistency is key in a good coffee place, and Ladro does a nice job. I think they also have the best pastry selection on 15th(north of Nouveau, of course!).

It’s pretty good, but has serious competition nearby.

I ordered two ice teas and a water cup to go. Apparently they charge extra for the water cup. In my mind, courtesy water(even to go) is basic customer service. This place failed to meet this bar.

While visiting Seattle recently, we stopped in to pick up some coffee before heading over to Volunteer Park. On a friend’s recommendation I ordered the Medici, a chocolate-orange mocha. In the words of Teen Girl Squad, SOGOOD! OMG. I think they peel off a spiral of orange rind and add it to the milk before steaming. I never would have thought of chocolate-orange-coffee as an awesome flavor, but it was so yummy that I went back a few days later and got the same thing.

Not as packed or loud as its neighboring coffee-mates! We were able to find a table next to an outlet and got some work done!

There are a lot of coffee places on the hill, but this is one of my favorites because the staff is so dang awesome! I’m sure they make copious amounts of coffee and talk to a lot of people, but I’ve never seen anyone here in a bad mood, and they’re so good at conversing without it slowing down the flow of drinks. The drinks themselves are wonderful — nice coffee, good tea selection. I haven’t tried the pastries yet, but they always tempt me.

this is another location i go to, the one on capitol hill. i just love ladro and their addicting coffee. the staff are always alert and friendly. love this location, it has outside chairs where it’s really nice to sit out during the spring/summer time. recently this place got some new cups for their cold drinks and i must say they need to get those cups together or order new ones cause my coffee be dripping everywhere cause the cap isn’t fit properly on the cup and causing the coffee to drip everywhere if sha

Although it gets crowded in here sometimes, theres a surprising amount of space in the store. The baristas are very knowledgable about their coffee and have yet to receive a bad drink. Their bathrooms are clean and require a key to use. They vegan friendly items on the menu too if you’re into that sorta thing. The music they choose is always upbeat. Their manager, James, does a great job running the place. Stop in if you’re ever on 15th or just in the area.

I’m definitely coming back. Love the windows and lighting so I can do some work away from home.

The iced tea was disappointing and they didn’t have any lemons for it. The hot apple cider was outstanding. Everything was resonably priced for seattle.

I recently moved to the area, not knowing if I’d find a happy, friendly coffee shop without pretentious snobby attitudes. In seattle, sometimes your out of luck! But the baristas here are consistently friendly, can carry a real conversation, and pour damn good drinks. I always leave feeling better about my morning and the day ahead. And that’s some real shit.

I love Ladro! I choose this café over the one down the street for its customer service and coffee. The baristas are always very nice and accommodating. What I like is that they treat me like a person and not like a paying customer. I have a more personal experience here versus the café down the street. Not to mention the coffee is amazing! Ladro wins for coffee on 15th in my opinion.

In my mind, when I’m loafing around in a coffee house, this is the kind of place I like. It’s smaller than many but because of that maintains an intimate atmosphere without seeming cramped. On a recent morning, I took a cuppa of joe and a vegan muffin to the front window, and watched the world go by, at a snail’s pace. I heard the murmur of nearby conversations, the tapping of laptops and the quiet banter of the two baristas. I imagined I could sit there for hours, though I only stayed for 30 minutes. The vegan muffin is house-made, as are the rest of their baked goods. It was very, very good, and didn’t have the dry aggression of some vegan baked goods. My coffee was strong, like I like my men, and hit the spot. I may have to make this a regular stop.

This is the café closest to my home and my preferred place to grab a quick cup of latte or spicy chai. The place is small, cozy and has some Seattle quirky neighborhood feel to it, but it’s not pretentious at all. The barista and cashier there always greet me with smiles everytime I walk in. It’s also never too crowded so I never have to wait that long. I’m not a sweet-tooth person, so I like that they also carry a selection of both savory and sweet pastries and baked goods. During the warm summer and spring days, it’s a good place for people to lounge and hang out in the wooden chairs outside of this café, chatting and people watching. During cold, rainy and winter days, though, Caffe Ladro is still a wonderful place to simply get some warmth from your favorite cup of coffee or chai to warm up your body and soul!

Forget ‘one of’ — this IS my favorite coffee shop on the Hill, and I wish I would make it here more often. Everything in my earlier review is still true, but now I can add that I love the vanilla lattes and the food is just as good! Their quiches are delectable and make an excellent dinner on the run. The staff has always been very friendly and they actually seem interested in taking care of their customers. It’s been a little busier the last few times I’ve gone, which is good news for them but makes snagging a table a bit of a challenge.
