Pretty solid food truck in SLU for lunch. The #1 combo, which is red curry, rice, asian slaw(which is basically just cole slaw without the dressing) and phad thai, is a LOT of food, even for me. The food comes out quick and service is efficient and friendly. It’s not the best Thai food in Seattle but it’s dece and there’s a lot of it! Definitely get some of their chili sauce.

Fast is nice, but premade and lukewarm isn’t. The curry was good, but the ratio of curry: rice was way off; too dry. Pad Thai is chewy and all bunched together… seems like it’s been sitting out for a while. Won’t be back.

This place is delicious! As a hula dancer, I’ve experienced a multitude of luau food. As a Seattle Foodie, I’ve also experienced a lot of thai food(let’s be real, Seattle has just as many thai options as phở options). And Buddha Bruddah done did the taste buds good. My fiancé ordered the pad thai & curry chicken and I ordered the kalua pork plate. We also got samples of the huli huli ginger chicken and hawaiian grilled beef because we’re considering them to cater our wedding. –Curry chicken — BOMB. Flavor is on point –Pad Thai — BOMB. It’s traditional, not Americanized with ketchup. Texture was yummmm. –Kalua Pork — juicy, flavorful, fat=flavor –Asian Slaw — perfect complement to each dish –Mac Salad — not too mayo tasting & great accompaniment to the kalua pork –Huli Ginger Chicken — beautiful, fancy blend of flavors –Hawaiian Grilled Beef — tender, amazing flavor, juicy After eating all that food, this falls under our highest esteemed food category: «Cater Our Wedding GOOD».

I tried BB the first time while waiting to catch the SLU streetcar to the Amazon campus. It was parked across from Westlake Center. I ordered the Phad Thai for $ 7. It was decent tasting but I love the sauce cart. They have an array of sauce to choose from. I tend to like my dishes saltier and spicier and the sauce cart allowed me to load up on fish sauce and Thai chilies! The gal taking the order is extremely nice and friendly. I tried a combo plate recently around the Amazon campus, the plate was delicious and yes of course, I added more sauce. The combo was $ 10 and the portion was quite generous. I ate it for lunch and dinner. I am a fan now and I’m definitely looking forward to trying out other dishes in the near future.

I ordered the phad thai and it was WAYTOOEXPENSIVE! $ 7 bucks a very small serving of unauthentic thai food. The service was fast, but I still can’t get over the fact that I paid $ 7 for whats seemed to be a box of bland phad thai the same size as a small rice bowl… They didn’t used ketchup in their phad thai at all(which is what makes it tangy), so right when I opened the box, I knew it was going to be bad. 2 stars because the lady who took our order was really nice and the service was fast, but other than that, I won’t ever return.

Visited Seattle for a week and decided to try out this food truck people were talking about. I had one of their Tacos and for the entrée if i remember correctly it was the Hawaiian beef or something like that(sorry, forgot the name). The taco was great! Although the entrée i had tasted burnt. Im not sure if it was suppose to be like that, but it had a very strong burnt flavor. It was probably because i got the last bit =[. With all that being said, i would go back and try different items on the menu though.

I’ve been going to the Buddha Bruddah food truck for months now since they showed in SLU. I love pretty much all the food they have! They are quick and friendly and the prices aren’t out of line compared to many other food trucks. Glad to see they added a couple more options as the grill plate options were huge portions and I always feel obligated to eat it all! i’ll keep returning as long as they are parked by my office!

They say that if you see a line, that means it’s good. And it was! I was able to visit this truck while in the South Lake Union neighborhood and am glad I did so. I ordered the special, which was a kimchi fried rice dish with chicken, Spam and Chinese Sausage, cooked with a fried egg and slaw on the side. They give you a generous portion, especially for seven bucks. While the cook prepares all the food, there is someone outside by the line, taking orders and running transactions. It made the line go by quickly. Plus, the cashier was really nice. She was telling everyone about the nearby chili bar that they had set up, so you can make your dish even spicier. There, you can also grab a bag, utensils and napkins. I loved, too, that they had treats and a water bowl out for dogs! Next time I will have to try the Hawaiian Mac Salad & Pork!

This is one of the newer food trucks in and around South Lake Union. It’s also one of the best. BB serves mixed asian plates, that include curry, ginger chicken, yakisoba, pad thai, and my favorite Hawaiian Grilled Beef. They add new dishes very often and just added the asian inspired tacos that won the recent Taco Libre Food Truck Showdown. The beef is delicious with a sauce that is similar to teriyaki but much better. The beef is perfectly tender and I can’t seem to get enough. I eat here at least twice a week and it is difficult for me to eat anything besides the beef. And the rest of the food is so good. They also have a chili sauce bar, and other sauces and thing to add included my favorite the Aji Nori. Just a little sprinkle on the excellent rice and i’m good. You get a lot of food for your $ 10 and Mark and Drea are the nicest people. Enjoy

Love this place! Always a short line, extremely fast and very friendly. I’ve had most things on the menu and my favorite is the beef. Their Mac salad is awesome and their yakisoba is also very good. If you don’t like cilantro watch out for the Asian slaw but it’s still good. I tired the coconut pudding but I’m not huge in coconut so wasn’t very impressed but my other coworkers enjoyed it. The tacos are good but not the best in the area so I’d suggest trying all their main dishes first.

My friend and I decided to try a food truck for lunch and although I wanted to try the taco truck couple feet away, the line was endless. Buddah Bruddah had the shortest line out of all the food trucks, so we decided, «heck why not?» I ordered the Huli Huli ginger chicken with Mac salad, rice, and Asian Slaw. My friend got the Sweet & spicy pork, rice, yakisoba, and Asian slaw. My chicken had no hint of «ginger» and the Huli Huli sauce in which the cashier described as their version of teriyaki sauce tasted just like teriyaki sauce. The quality of the chicken was not that great either. It just seemed like somebody just chopped a frozen chicken meat into small pieces and stir fried them into a teriyaki sauce. My friend’s sweet & spicy pork was tender but had no balance of sweet & spicy. Oh, and the yakisoba noodles were lifeless. It tasted like plain soy sauce. The Mac salad was probably the best out of the mix. But then again, how can you mess up Mac salad? I would rather have gone to a local teriyaki joint that would’ve saved me four extra bucks and save my taste buds from experiencing bad Asian fusion food. I would like to comment though that the cashier lady was really friendly, so customer service was definitely not a factor. Their portion size is also pretty hefty but since the food wasn’t that great, the portion size didn’t play a huge role in my experience. Note to self: Go to the food truck that has the longest line. It’ll be worth it.

This truck had the shortest line amongst the food trucks and I learned why after eating the food. I ordered the fried rice. There was a lot of onion flavor but no other great flavors. I asked about the fried egg and was told it was in the dish… but there was no egg in the dish. Not rushing to go back anytime soon.

My new fav food truck. I got the sweet and spicy pork and was not disappointed. Tastes like Dwaeji bulgogi you could get at sit-down Korean restaurant. Also came with rice, cabbage slaw and yakisoba. My box of food looked intimidating – $ 10 gets you a good portion of food – but I ended up eating the entire thing in one sitting: X…

We had a chance to try some tacos from Buddha Bruddah at the Taco Libre Food Truck showdown in Chinatown this weekend. They offered the $ 5 menu for 1 Hawaiian asada and 1 carnitas tacos. The tacos were topped with a fresh slow and a little bit of crème sauce. Overall, it tasted fresh, but still lacked a punch of flavor. For the price that they were selling and the ability to get 1 of each flavor(so we could try different tacos) for just $ 5 makes it worth it to stop by this truck though. At the Taco Libre Truck showdown, they were one of the busiest trucks there! We were glad we lined up for their food early so we didn’t have to wait so long. I also like that they have sauces for different levels of spiciness per your liking, too. We tried the 5* hot level(highest) and it was still fine, and not a burning heat sensation at all.

Truthfully, this was some of the best curry and THE best pad Thai I’ve ever had. The meal was absolutely fantastic and for $ 10, it’s a total steal. The person who took my order was very nice and she greeted everyone with a smile. Overall, I’m in love with Buddha Bruddah!

I’ve been two Wednesdays in a row, it’s just so good! Always have leftovers for the next day, too! You rock my world. Our whole office is making this a regular thing… Super fast and friendly. The hot sauce bar is amazing. Love the curries and Mac salad!

What a fun find! My friend and I happened upon Buddha Bruddah while deciding what to get for lunch and we were both pleasantly surprised. :) Relatively new(I think it opened this year?), this food truck can be spotted in the Downtown Seattle area in McGraw Square on Wednesdays starting at 11AM. They have very friendly people working at the truck — the lady taking our order was super engaging, asked us if it was our first time there and made great hot sauce suggestions. They have a pretty straightforward menu — about four entrée items and a variety of side dishes. They even sell t-shirts, I believe! I like the little hot sauce stand that they have, where you can try anything from a mild Thai dipping sauce to other spicier sauces. My friend and I both went for the Hawaiian Grilled Beef plate. For $ 10 even, we got a pretty hefty serving of rice, mac salad, slaw and marinated and grilled flap(which I didn’t realize was beef until today!) SO. GOOD. The Teriyaki seasoning was just enough and not too salty, and the mac salad went very well with it. Try the beef with the Thai dipping sauce — it adds a nice, subtle zing! :) I believe they have a rotating menu because I had wanted to try their Bruddah Fried Rice, which wasn’t available when I visited. Guess I’ll just have to stop by again!

I’ve eaten here twice now, had the thai food dish, and the ginger chicken. Both were great! I chowed down the whole ginger chicken dish today! Also very friendly staff, and a great truck!

I’d like to write a review on the food from this truck, but after waiting in the line to order the vegetarian Pad Thai, I was told that it contained fish sauce and was not actually vegetarian. While I appreciate that they informed me of this rather than just letting me order it, I really don’t think they should be advertising it as a vegetarian dish on their menu. On that note, I did end up getting the slaw, the Yakisoba noodles, and some Jasmine rice which I doused in sauces from their sauce bar. The noodles were pretty tasty, and the sauce really helped the rice, but the slaw was nothing to write home about. I will note, for the carnivores out there, that the meat plates looked and smelled great, and I heard others around me commenting that it was delicious.
