An~ok~ selection of costume rental wear, pretty basic wigs for too much $, and then tuxedo rentals and wedding dresses to boot. You have a little bit of everything here, which is part of Brocklind’s problem. None of the costumes stand out as awesome, none of the clothing a must buy, and I literally snorted at the wig offerings they had(cheap cheap cheap for more than they were worth). Actually, everything here is probably a little too pricey, even when you manage to sneak in for a costume sale. Brocklind’s would do in a pinch, but i’m the type of costume-wearer who rarely get gets stuck in one so my visits here will be few and far between.

Rented some wigs and other random costume pieces for a volunteer gig. Wide selection, but prices were a little high and quality was moderate. Still, I liked being able to rent instead of getting stuck with all the items. They sell body paint too.

This review is for tuxedo rental. I would highly recommend this store for any future newlyweds. The store isn’t fancy and if you’re looking for the high-end couture tuxes you may be put off by the bare bones storefront and displays. But they have basically the same tuxes you’ll find anywhere, for really cheap. Best of all, the people on the phone are OMG-are-you-sure-this-isn’t-a-small-town friendly and helpful. They might have to take a minute to find the info you need, but they will talk to you every day for a week if you’ve got groomsmen flying in from all over and people who’s pant sizes mysteriously grow and if you’re just plain nervous and need to change the pick-up day four different times. I’d recommend them just to soothe your tired bridal brain. Doooo it!

I’ve gone here 3 times to try on dresses, 1 time for fun, and 2 times for serious. I had their undivided attention and all the ladies(sorry, I can’t remember your names!) were so helpful. Getting me this dress, that sash, that veil… you name it they helped me out with it. I was sold on this one dress and it turned out that it sadly wasn’t the one. But I plan on having my groom and his best man go here for tux rental… customer service was great! I guess the reason for the 4 stars is that I found THEDRESS, I asked a lady if she could look it up to get a different top, since it was Casablanca that shouldn’t have been too hard. Well she took all my info and never followed up with me. So I kind of just let the dress go and started looking at other ones similar to that one. I wasn’t really down with that so much.

Store is small, the majority side is bridal gowns and wedding attire and the other side is the costume rental. This store has a great selection of beautiful gowns. Went there to check out a wedding gown and to my surprise found one on clearance for a 1⁄3 of the normal price. The rest of the dresses were priced from $ 350 to $ 800– not so bad considering that most gowns are $ 900+ for nice ones. Although there was a client trying on dresses the staff(Tamara) was extremely helpful and attentive. They also have a great section of rental costumes– will be going back for that side. There is only street parking– and it is in capital hill area– parking is limited best time to go is on Saturday– store is open at 9, which is great.

Buyer beware. I needed to rent a Santa Suit for my employer. I called to reserve it but they told me they needed the measurements of the wearer to reserve the costume. Unfortunately, this is after I’d given them my credit card number. I went back to my boss with the price and to get the measurements and he determined that it would be cheaper to buy one on ebay. Lo, it was. About $ 40 cheaper. I never called them back because I didn’t need it anymore. A couple of days before the event, the called me to tell me they still needed the measurements. I told them I didn’t need the suit anymore. They asked if I knew about the 50% cancellation fee. I didn’t. I remember them saying something about it but I’d figured since they said they needed the measurements BEFORE completing the reservation, it didn’t matter. I told them I don’t even work for the company that needed the suit anymore and the guy said he’d «see what he could do». He spoke to the manager and eventually worked out a «deal» where they would only charge me $ 25 but that any time paperwork is drawn up, you are basically bound to them for half. So I can’t speak for the quality of their costumes. But I definitely learned a few things from this. 1) You that you can probably buy something cheaper on line. 2) Calling them is as good as handing them your money. 3) Never use your own credit card for employer purchases.
