This review should have been written a couple of years ago, but I doubt anything’s changed much, so it should still be pertinent. It’s a long one, but if you’re considering going there I think it’s worth reading. I’d give him one star but the doc himself is nice and gets the job done. My husband and I went in(for him) at the referral of his friend who adores his doctor. Got there, waiting room full(like sooo many doctors who overbook themselves BECAUSETHEYCAN). Waited quite a while with no updates(pretty common as well). Finally got in. Doctor was nice enough– quirky, funny and personable, which is rare and fine by me. My husband was quickly able to get the prescription that he so needed and would have been difficult to get elsewhere, as we later found out. Flash to a few visits later– my husband is out of town and will be back for only a night before leaving again. Prescription needs refilling DESPERATELY and has to be done last minute as is the case with these meds, but he will be unable to see the doctor before his next business trip. So he calls and explains the situation. Doctor graciously agrees to refill it, only I have to come by the office to get the paper prescription. So I, as a basically single mom while he’s gone, go way across town at my only available hour, to pick it up. I CALLBEFOREHANDTOMAKESURESOMEONEWILLBETHEREFORME. I get there to find a locked door(the receptionist and his wife were in back eating lunch) and ring the bell several times. I don’t want to give up as my husband will suffer if I do. After some loud knocking on my part the receptionist comes out, very annoyed. I tell her who I am and why I’m there. She goes to look for the prescription, all the while acting annoyed that I disrupted their lunch(they knew I was coming!). She finally find it but says«Oops, looks like the doctor didn’t sign it». Excuse me? «HEDIDN’T SIGNIT» she repeats. «You’ll just have to come back». Excuse me? Can you explain why he’d leave a prescription but not sign it? He knew the circumstances. «I HAVENOIDEABUTYOU’LLHAVETOCOMEBACK. I CAN’T HELPYOU. WHATDOYOUWANTMETODO?! HE’S A VERYBUSYMAN. WECAN’T JUSTINTERRUPTHIMFOR A SIGNATURE!!! she barks at me. I’m sorry, so he has time to write the prescription, just not the time to sign it? I am SO confused. At this point all I can think is, I called to make sure they were open and that the prescription was there and ready, they knew my husband’s circumstances, no one was there to let me in, and now instead of a humble and sincere apology, explanation, or rush to get it signed for us, I’m getting yelled at by a rude, unapologetic, bitter woman. Unbelievable. I was truly shocked. I’ve never experienced anything like that at any office before and I’m in my forty’s! I had to leave without the prescription and my husband had to go without his meds. This is where it gets so ridiculous we had to laugh. Before we could call to tell Dr. Brittin what had happened and that we could never deal with her again, he calls and says that his wife(a meek and sweet Asian woman) was traumatized by hearing the interaction between the receptionist and myself, and that he could no longer see my husband. WHAT?! LOL. Holy crap, you’ve GOT to be kidding?! See ya! So my poor husband and I try very hard to find another doctor that could fill his meds asap but unfortunately so many were booked up for weeks or months, were WAY across town, or not even taking new patients that eventually, after much time, he ended up back there. Must have begged under the circumstances. I was mortified. I’d have to be on my deathbed to go to this office. This poor man is truly whipped and/or must have patients to burn, if he’ll dump them instead of reprimanding his receptionist for her ineptitude and arrogance, or asking for forgiveness by his patients if it was his fault. Shame on them.
