BevMo!

They had what I needed, for $ 2 more than the grocery store.
If you’re going to insist that I pull my ID out of the convenient clear thing in my wallet so you can scan it for the purchase of a Bottle of Torani blackberry syrup, like its a policy that you have to check everyone’s of, you should actually check everyone’s ID. The guy in front of me, who was actually buying alcohol didn’t show, let alone let you scan, his ID. Nor was he asked, at all.
I can buy this stuff elsewhere.

You’re carding both of us for buying a bag of potato chips or bitters!!! ???
Oh I saw a mom and her small child get carded but of course the kid didn’t have an I.D. He’s 8 or 9. Goodness… they wouldn’t serve the lady unless the kid left the store. Do they card babies?
Time to stick to Wine and More or Wine World when we want future products.

Higher than usual prices and staff that isn’t necessarily the best at answering questions. I’d only return here if I didn’t have another option. Yes, they have snacks that you can grab en route to your gathering, but you can also get that at a grocery store too. There’s nothing remarkable about the BevMo experience that can’t be gotten elsewhere and improved.
I also didn’t care for the scanning of licenses nor the push to have me join their loyalty programme. No means no, cashiers. Please stop pushing so hard.

This review is in regards to a wedding order. We met a representative from Bevmo at the Seattle Wedding show, so it seemed like they knew what they were doing when it comes to wedding services. We met with Jordan for a tasting which went well. He helped us pick a few wines and some beer, and overall did a great job. We inquired about delivery to our venue which was outside of the Seattle area, and he seemed hesitant but asked his manager. The manager, Carlos, however offered to deliver the beer and wine for us on the wedding day. We gave him the date, time, and location and paid for our order. We saw him write this down on a pink piece of paper and place it with the rest of the pink pieces of paper in a metal cabinet. If this seems like a bit of an outdated way to keep track of orders, then you are thinking what we were thinking at the time, but we brushed it off because they are a big professional company right? So a month and a few weeks later, the wedding day is here and the bride and I are busy taking pictures and preparing to be wed. About 30 mins before the ceremony my coordinator pulls me aside and tells me the beer and wine have not arrived. It was scheduled to arrive at 12:00 and it was now 2:30. Our coordinator gets on the phone with Bevmo and they have no record of our order. Turns out that Carlos had quit, and because of the primitive tracking system mentioned earlier, our order was never passed on to someone else or checked on. You would think in today’s day and age they would have this in a computer somewhere with a reminder set, given how important this day is to so many people. While this was obviously very disappointing and not something a groom wants to deal with right before saying his vows, the staff were able to get our order together and get it to us eventually– but well after cocktail hour’s start. I give them some credit for being able to do this. Part II of our disappointment occurred after the wedding day. We were told by multiple sources that we could return any unused product– a main reason we wanted to use Bevmo in the first place. It turns out that when they packed our order they gave us some extra beer and wine as a peace offering to make up for the order mix up. Note that we did not ask for this. So when we came to the store to return the extra product, the manager stated she couldn’t return it because she wouldn’t be able to tell what we paid for and what was given to us for free. Even worse, was we didn’t receive any apologies or empathy, just a feeling that we were annoying her and that we were ungrateful for this beer and wine that we didn’t ask for. In total, this was a very poor experience, and I could not recommend Bevmo to anyone for wedding services. Customer service does not appear to be a priority for this company.

Sorry wine selection — only three Oregon Pinots? My beers blew up upon opening. Turns out they were four months past best by date.

While BevMo has a nice selection and is convenient, they are receiving 1 star due to the fact that they unnecessarily scan drivers licenses. This is apparently a new process for the Ballard store. The sales clerk gave a variety of stories as to why they scan licenses. Everything from «anyone who looks under the age of 50», to «needing to be sure your license hasn’t expired», to needing to «scan the license of anyone who enters the store». Basically the sales person didn’t know and was just following company directives. Being caught unaware by this, I had my license scanned for a purchase of chips and ice. As I do not know what BevMo does with the scanned information I will likely not shop there anymore.
Scanning a drivers license of someone who looks underage and is attempting to purchase alcohol is one thing, but scanning everyone’s license is invasive. BevMo needs to rethink its policy.

Went in because I knew they had a lot of liquor and wine. I am in the middle of moving out of my place, thought they would be a neighbor and lend me a box. Wouldn’t give me a box to freaking move out of my place. Will never go back.

State run liquor stores were down right terrible. BevMo is awesome — selection, atmosphere keeps me away from AA. Prices high on some things and cheaper on others. Way better than safeway. Staff very cool and knowledgable. I have eclectic alcohol taste and am allergic to beer so I’m a pain to get booze for. BevMo has come through for me time and again. Cheers!

Rented hand pump keg taps and keg tub from Bevmo. Never used them as the host of the party rented a jockybox. (awesome!) Obviously unused and clean when I returned them. Manager «unable» to waive «cleaning fee» as its «impossible to tell if they were used or not». Well, are they sticky and smell of beer? No… Thanks for nothing Bevmo, you can suck it!

Everyone I think I will find what I want, I am disappointed.
The prices BevMo charges are higher than a great deal of other places, not to mention the selection of beer I find to be… lacking.
They really need a better selection of single bottles. As someone trying to gain a broad perspective of beer, I don’t want to spend $ 5+ per single bottle.
The staff is a little «zombified» as well.
Twice I have walked out empty handed. «Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.»

I like this place alright, especially when I’m craving a beer that I can’t otherwise find at one of my local supermarkets. Bevs gets docked at least a star, though, for failure to sync their registers with their sale prices. On a recent visit, THREE of the five items in my cart showed higher prices at the register than on the shelf, and I had to wait for a few minutes as clerks scurried through the aisles to confirm the discounted prices I was reporting.

This was a nice environment with many associates around asking if we needed help. The liquor selection is excellent but the beer selection is lacking a little. The prices were a little higher than other places but everybody was very welcoming.

Now that Washington’s liquor stores are privatized, we find ourselves going to BevMo! for our home bar stock-​up needs. This particular location isn’t the biggest, but it’s well maintained, has a good selection, and features more premium brands than some of the other stores.
They have a large wine selection and frequently have BOGO sales, which sounds like a pretty good deal. They have domestic and draft beer and cider in singles and multi-​packs, and a big selection of those little airplane bottles — nice if you want to try something before committing to a bottle or you’re not sure how you would use it.
In addition to booze, they have salty snacks, refrigerated cases with meats and cheeses and dips, a large glassware/​barware selection, and disposable party supplies. Plus, of course, plenty of mixers, sodas, and fancy stuff like flavored bitters. During the holidays, they have a good selection of those boxed sets with branded glasses, flasks, and other bonus items, if you’re into those.
The staff has been friendly and helpful when we’ve been in, greeting us when they walk past and asking if they can help find anything. A nice place to do your bar restocking or holiday shopping!

This place is quite impressive. A great selection of alcohol including beer and wine. Lots of gift packs and specialty items too. I needed a few gifts when I was in town and found them quickly. Getting the BevMo saver card helped at the checkout.

Awesome selection of mixers, beers, wines and liqueurs. They sells everything you need to host an awesome evening — down to the glasses and snacks!

Bevmo is just ok.
Their selection is mixed, they have some good selections in liquor categories, but do not have enough.
Not sure if they have some deal with certain brands and only carry that brand products, but they do not carry all the brands.
Their prices are not that great unless they have a special going on.
Their so called «membership prices «are really weak. You have to spend $ 250.00 to get a 5% discount, then start over again. I have yet to receive any discounts and they claim they are working on it ?
The staff is good and they have food items, barware, pretty decent selection of beer.
I do not think their wine selection is very good and the prices seem high.
Way better off at Ballard Thriftway for wine.
Good location and big parking lot.

This place is very clean, super well organized, well stocked and easy to get in and out of. They had everything I needed and more! They even had discounts on what I wanted and the checker was very nice. No complaints here!

Places like this is what we all wanted in Washington when we voted to kick the government out of the liquor business and open it up. I can’t say that BevMo has the best selection around, but it’s pretty darn good. The have an entire aisle of IPAs, which is my favorite type of beer.
I stopped by here the other day to fill some growlers and get some wine for a party, since they were having a 2 for 1 wine sale. I know very little about wine, except for the fact that I prefer red to white, so it was nice to have a salesperson help me pick out a bottle of each. It turns out that all of my party guests prefer red to white, so we didn’t open the whites, but everyone liked the red, so thanks!

*You know that scene in Leaving Las Vegas with Nick Cage in the liquor store with a shopping cart? That could easily happen here.

What’s not to love about a giant store filled with alcohol and related items? You’ll be able to find most anything you need here. They have glassware, wine, beer, hard alcohol, drink mixers, and even snacks to go along with your booze! The store has a warehouse feel, but is certainly a great place to go and make a purchase. In general, I feel like the prices are reasonable. They also have good hours, which makes it a good place to stop after dinner on a friday night and grab something to enjoy during the rest of your evening!
