Bens is fantastic! i had some serious stains on my boat cushions and tried several chemical cleaners without any luck. Thought that steam cleaning would do the trick, but didnt want to spend the money or waste my time without knowing for sure. Went to Bens and Russ was willing to do a test run on one of the cushions… and it helped somewhat. He then contacted one of their cleaning experts for tips on how to remove these stubborn stains. and alas! it worked! i seriously cant say enough about this place… never thought i could LOVE a steam cleaner rental/sales shop, but Bens has won my heart! and they’re been in seattle for over 70 years! now thats staying power!

The number one word that comes to mind when I think of Bens is Professionalism. They really know their stuff. I was looking to remove some really thick moss off my roof and also to clean my driveway and sidewalk. Chris took his time with my to explain on the steps that I would need to do. How to use the pressure washer correctly so I don’t tare off the tiles but strong enough to clean them. I could tell they deal more with companies so I really appreciated the expertise they they have and how the shared it with me. I now have the cleanest sidewalk in Magnolia and a very clean roof that has all it shingles intake. I would highly recommend them to any one or company that appreciates quality and excellent customer service.

I have purchased three high-volume pressure-washers from these guys over the past five years and more equipment than I care to list. Their service is outstanding. I always work with Russ, Chris, or Linn, though I hear the other reps are good too. I have purchased equipment from their two competitors in the area(Seattle Pump and Dalco) when I’ve needed to, but can’t get anywhere neat the consistency or care that I get from Ben’s. If you need a great machine backed by excellent service(for years!), and you don’t mind spending a tiny bit more money(and I really do mean tiny), don’t waste your time going anywhere else. Go to Bens!

I bought a Karcher K2400(AKA: Cheap POS) pressure washer from Costco to clean my driveway and patio. The machine worked fine for a while, but over time started surging intermittently — drove me insane! I tried the suggested fixes I found on the web: bought a new turbo head, greased the unloaders. No luck. So I emailed Ben’s Cleaners, and Gordon wrote back suggesting the turbo head I bought at the hardware store might not be correct — even though it was the PI2400 suggested for my machine. He was clearly the most knowledgable person on the subject, so I drove all the way down there. He hooked me up with a turbo head that was twice the quality, and I also learned the difference between a Costco Karcher and his Karcher machines; they don’t have nearly the same quality internal parts. The fact Gordon helped me fix my cheap Karcher — even though I didn’t buy it from him — and went the extra mile for such a small sale impressed me, and I’ll be returning to Ben’s for all my Pressure Washer needs. Including buying the next one!

After using my neighbors 4k psi direct drive unit, my wimpy 2700 psi homeowner unit was no longer good enough as his unit cleaned things mine left behind. It also took me so long to clean my small driveway that my back ached for a few days afterward. So I started looking for one of my own on the web to get an understanding of what separates a good unit from a cheap one. After reading lots of sellers info and articles, I was still confused due to many sites not stating exactly what pump you got. They usually listed the mfg but not the model and is a good place to cut cost by sliding in a cheap pump. Another is the cart, wand, and hose. Being an engineer, I decided to stop in to Ben’s to find out what the pros use and why. That’s when I met Gordon. He spent 3 hours(between other customers) explaining the details to me so that I knew exactly what the box and web stores did to get to their price points and the resulting impact to washer performance and longevity. After a while, Gordon understood my desire for quality and set me up with a beautiful cold water Mi-T-M machine. Sure, it cost a bit more than a box store model but I knew it wasn’t a disposable unit, could be rebuilt if needed, and would deliver the stated pressure and flow. I also knew that the team at Ben’s would take care of me after the sale and that I was supporting a local small business. That was last summer and they, and the machine, have lived up to my expectations. I highly suggest before buying any washer, you stop in and talk to them as they have machines of various price ranges and performance. I also highly suggest for whatever machine you buy, invest in a rotary nozzle that is sized to your machine. It alone will increase cleaning performance and reduce cleaning time significantly.

Excellent customer service! I bought a pressure washer from another store and after a short while it wouldn’t start. The store where I bought it wasn’t interested in helping me. Gordon contacted the manufacturer’s rep and my problem was solved. It looks to me like they carry very good quality merchandise, and with the people they have working there, that’s where I’ll buy in the future.

I purchased a used pressure washer from Ben’s years ago. I run a screen printing shop so we really kick the shit outta the thing, and it’s basically covered in ink. Occasionally we’ve had it serviced here for the multitude of odd things that happen to it. They seem very professionally and also arranged for a loaner while my busted up unit was in service. It’s a good place. They have an excellent selection of commercial and industrial pressure washers. If you only need a unit for your little car, go to a hardware store. You don’t need a professional system.
