You guys, Drew is incredible! I’m in crap shape and I was super nervous about working with a trainer and he really set me at ease. I should also mention that I’m a massage therapist which means I know enough about physiology, kinesiology, and anatomy to know if a trainer is really knowledgeable and safe while they take me through a session. Now I’m not a trainer so my knowledge set is different but it overlaps enough for me to know that Drew is safe, super knowledgeable and explains everything in a clear and accessible manner. I’m not working with Drew now and the only reason is that he’s based out of Lynnwood and it’s too much of a trek for me. He also does personal training and will come to you but I really wanted to be part of a cross-fit box so that wasn’t really an option. If you aren’t like me, then I highly recommend giving him a call.

I’ve only worked with Drew several times so far, but my husband has been training with him for over 6 months now.(And I can really see the difference! I liked him [ –my husband– ] before, but he’s definitely sexier… I mean more muscular! Thank you Drew!) Kidding aside, Drew is great. I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and Addison’s, so I’m usually exhausted and have lived a sedentary lifestyle for a while. I was quite nervous about working out, especially with a totally fit trainer, because I was worried he might not understand how pathetic/lethargic I feel sometimes. I didn’t need to worry. Drew is really understanding and compassionate; he was able to tailor the workout for my needs while pushing me a little bit. He is already knowledgeable about exercise, physiology, and nutrition, but he is always seeking out more helpful information for our health. He’s there to help you to improve your health, so he may push you a little harder each time, but he’s not scary like some boot camp coach — he’s laid back & easy to talk to. Prior to becoming ill, I participated in various sports all my life. I’d led teams as a captain, ran long distance races, etc., so I thought I knew how to exercise. But having worked with Drew, I’m now seeing there’s a huge benefit to working with an exercise professional.(And no, I wasn’t paid to write this.) If we can hire Drew as our own household coach we would, but we can’t quite afford that, so I’ll share. I’d highly recommend his personal training services!

I’ve been working with Drew for the past several months to get in shape as my 40th birthday approaches. I couldn’t have asked for a better trainer. He’s smart, knowledgeable, incredibly patient and keeps the workouts varied and enjoyable. Big thumbs up. Like many in this area, I have a job that involves lots of time in front of the computer. Any simple physical activity left me winded. So I made a resolution to get in shape. Certainly not the first time I’ve done that, but this time around I decided to get a physical trainer to help me stay on target. When we started out, I could barely do a pull up. Like, baby exercises. Drew carefully taught me the basics of how to move and how this whole body thing works. Now, I’m regularly able to do 5−10X what I could do before. This whole fitness thing is like discovering a secret super power. Drew’s a fellow who obviously cares about helping people improve. And he’s got a good head on his shoulders. It isn’t enough for him to know that something hurts. He wants to know the science behind why things are off and how the day’s routine can be personalized to work on that exact issue. One of the best.
