Food is good, but service is terrible! I mean horrendous. Not worth it! It takes forever to get service, and if you are picking up, you better have an hour! Not even packed and still so slow. Disappointing to say the least…

This used to be our favorite Thai restaurant in the NE and I don’t know what happened, may be the owners changed. The quality of the dishes has gone down and the service is terrible. There were 3 tables with people seated the last time we went, we were 6 and they brought three times the wrong dish.

How do you make a curry without any flavor? That is a serious question. Imagine if you challenged yourself to make a curry that had zero flavor. How would you do it? How would that even be possible??? By its very nature curry is going to have flavor, right? Well, tonight I had the massaman curry with beef at Bai Pai and it tasted like… nothing. Literally nothing. I see other reviewers love this place, so maybe I’ll give them another try. But tonight was a disaster.

Walked in the bar side. Got seated near the fire place. Good place for intimate conversation. Bartender was nice. She was trying to console the lady that was having relationship problem. Place was clean and good food. Portion was perfect: not too much and not too small.

I really love the atmosphere here. It is a pleasant place to take a date to as it is quite calm and relaxing. I like to keep it simple, with the pad thai and oh I keep coming back for this one. The noodles are cooked as not too tough or too soft. I like the mung beans as it keeps the dish slightly moist. Top it off with thir chicken and peanut sauce!

The food here is delicious! The staff has changed up and this place now gets 5 stars. The portion sizes are pretty large now and I just love this place. This will definitely be my consistent go to for deliciously tasting food at a very reasonable price. I got the Coriander Beef Combo and I cannot say enough good things about this dish. The service is awesome and the people there are very friendly. Whenever I have company over, I encourage them to eat here and I always receive complements for recommending this place. Best Thai food in the neighborhood!!! I LOVE the lunch combos!

I get food from here all the time because it’s so close to where I live and I don’t feel like driving to other Thai places that I love when I’m lazy. The service here is good. I never had an issue with their service. In fact they’re always really nice. I get pad thai a lot and I noticed that it’s not spicy at all when I get a five. So one day I asked that I want it really really REALLY spicy and the person that worked there was like asking if I wanted like a seven. I was like waaaa there’s a seven? Apparently if you want it hella spicy you gotta say like 7 or a 10 or whatever higher than 5. Anyways. I ordered a seven and it was perfect for me. Ordered something higher than 7 before and I would get the chilies in there too. Anyways. Just a tip of you want your food REALLY spicy.

Came over with one of my friends who is an expert in Thai food. I personally dont know much about it, but love all different arrays of Asian food. The place is so warm and inviting, the bar area is cozy and we decided to sit there by the fireplace. We were there for a late lunch at 4:00PM, so we had the whole place just to ourselves. Mu friend helped me choose my dish; I ordered a garlic lovers chicken and she ordered Bai Pai noodle. The food arrived shortly, so quick in fact that it made me wonder if the chef cooked it or heated it up. My dish was good, a little bland, but cooked nicely. I preferred the Bai Pai Noodle, it was a little bit spicy, but overall had more flavor into it. The service was courteous and fast. We had a great time there. Price is very reasonable and could be a cozy spot to grab a drink in the afternoon.

So, I live in the neighborhood and I finally went with a friend of mine yesterday. We had a late lunch… haha we went in at 4PM and it was completely empty. We got to sit next to their lovely gas fireplace which was really nice. Service was very prompt, but the first thing is that the temperature of the food wasn’t hot. We ordered the Garlic Lover’s Chicken — upon recommendation by the waitress, and the Bai Pai noodles(2−3÷5 spicy requested). I expect Asian food to be really hot and the fact that we were the only ones in the restaurant… the food should come out steaming. I will say the Bai Pai Noodles were pretty fantastic. A little kick, and lots of veggies. I wish they their portion was bigger because I could’ve eaten more. The Garlic Lover’s chicken was good — i liked how the broccoli was steamed. yay for being healthy! The food wasn’t too salty, which was also nice. I would’ve tried the mango over rice for dessert but it’s no longer the season. Also… they charge $ 2 for a little bowl of brown rice that comes with the Garlic Lover’s chicken. Really? Extra charges for rice always drives me insane… I am at an Asian restaurant! Or just, give a bowl of white rice… then charge extra, but I’m pretty sure they also charge for just white rice. Price wise, I think it is fair for the area it’s in and in relation to the other restaurants around, but I think it’s expensive for thai. I’m sorry but I think I’m still a Thai Tom fan…(less expensive and steaming hot!!). I would also put Krua Thai above Bai Pai. Would come again only if I don’t want to go too far for Thai food. and am super desperate! Overall, just OK… I would also say it’s more«Americanized”-Thai food than I usually like.

The Bai Pai noodles are sort of amazing — similar to phad see ewe, but spicier. The ambience is nice, and the servers are friendly. Price is pretty going-rate, and it seems like they have a good selection of wine and other drinks.

I’ve been here four times and have been impressed every time. I don’t understand its 3 ½ star rating. Try the garlic lovers chicken – a fine blend of spices with broccoli. The pad see ew is excellent. The guy who seems to run the restaurant is a charmer. If I lived full time in the neighborhood, I’d go here regularly.

Stopped by for lunch today and was warmly greeted by the owner himself! Great selection of lunch specials for under $ 10 and comes with a refreshing salad at the beginning. Delicious Thai iced tea as well to cool off the hot Seattle weather! Looks like they have a full service bar at the other end of the restaurant, great décor inside and love that they have a wine chiller for customers to store their wine, there’s also a private party section so something to keep in mind!

I’ve been here many times before and haven’t had issues, except when we ordered chicken pad thai and got tofu instead– they replaced order with correct order. Food was good, service decent. Last night my husband and I got pad thai, green curry, and fresh rolls to go. The woman who took the order was great and helped ensure everything would be gluten free for an intolerance. My husband picked up the order, got home and looked inside to see that there was no rice. He called and was told that rice didn’t come with curry– which was a big news flash for not only this restaurant we’d been to, but also every other thai place we’ve been. He went back to pick up the rice and was charged extra for 2 small cartons. By this time it’s close to 9:30p. Today both of us couldn’t stay out of the bathroom– FOODPOISONING. Feels like we went to Thailand and drank the water, been there and done that… no thanks!

Good food, pad ewe beef(noodles are very soft and buttery… yum!) was my FAVORITE dish in our party, excellent service! Setting and décor was very inviting, including romantic, date friendly tables next to the windows. Thank you: D

MOLDALERT. Oh man, there are some problems here. First, service is lacking big time. Had to wait way too long to see a server after sitting down, and had to flag other staff down throughout the meal. Second, the food: I would say 3 stars, very average. We had happy hour so I can’t speak for any of the main dishes, but the HH appies were okay — with one exception: the spring rolls. The rolls themselves, nothing but rolled up deep fried cabbage. That wasn’t the problem though, it was the sauce: MOLDY. Very pungent sharp mold taste. Gross. So I flagged down a foodrunner(& cook I think) to let him know we would not be eating that dish and why, and I was told: «YOUAREWRONG.» Hmm, are you eating this food or am I? It was disgusting, and distinctly moldy. He pulled the food and let the bartender/server know. When he came by I told him it tasted distinctly of mold, his response was«No, I don’t think so.» — he proceeded to walk off to taste the sauce himself. I had to shout to let him know I did not require his taste testing, just the check.(Oh and he offered to bring us out another spring roll dish — are you crazy?! I declined.) Upon dropping off the check all he said was«Have a nice week.» The first and only person to apologize was the hostess as we walked out the door, whilst the bartender and cook were having a discussion about sauce(I overheard) in the open kitchen. Safe to say I’ll be crossing this establishment off the list, there are far too many great Thai places in Seattle to waste your time with this staff and their food. Ps. If in fact no mold was involved, and that’s the desired flavor, change your recipe. Spring roll sauce is universally awesome. That was disgusting.

Food is very good here 1 waiter handled all the customers fairly well. The décor is awesome and the place also has a lounge in a great neighbor I was unfamiliar with. I had the maui maui dish and tried everything on the table from the banana crab makes and the pad thai peanut soup try it all or borrow from a neighbor #Seattle #foodie

Total, utter #fail. Service was an abomination. Food was ok — when it came out nearly 45 minutes after ordering. I finally waved down a passing employee 20 minutes after that when we needed to ask for the check, and he held his hand up to me and without even making eye contact said, «I am NOT your server». Did I mention that this was an employee? What a jerk. Then when I asked our extremely meek server for the manager, we were told«there is no manager». When I asked the«managerish» employee who was giving her direction, he said the same«there is no manager». I got the run around quite a bit until he reluctantly pointed to a man in the corner as «the owner». It was disappointing to see a restaurant run like that. It’s a fairly elegant restaurant at first glance with adequate food — not great —, but extremely poorly run. No way I’d return.

Bai Pai is great if you want Thai food with a decent ambiance since it definitely radiates a date spot vibe. But let’s be real, I’m here for the food. I’ve been fairly loyal to the Bai Pai noodles which is their version of Pad Kee Mao, and it has never let me down. They’re not afraid to crank up the spice(but only if you ask, duh), so the 5 star dishes here definitely deliver a kick! But today, I braved the menu and tried their Pad Thai for the first time. I say brave since there’s nothing I despise more than tainted ketchup red Pad Thai, so it’s like playing Russian roulette. However, I was delighted that it was the awesome tamarind version. To be frank there could have been a little more tamarind, but it was still yummy and spicy!
