I always come here everytime I’m in Seattle. Always. The best fish n chips I’ve ever had is a hole-in-the-wall joint in Long Beach, CA so it’s a bit unfair, I suppose, to compare every place to that particular place but… oh well. This place is awesome and although it’s not the best in the world, it is very delicious! Everytime I come here the fish and chips have been consistently good! I always get the same thing too, True Alaskan Cod. It’s always cooked to perfection, the tartar sauce is always on point, and the fries were actually even better than the last time I came here! I honestly am never disappointed when I come here. Everytime I’ve came here its been the exact same 2 people that I always see: the cook and the cashier lady. The lady is always nice to me and hubby everytime we’ve came. Always took our order in a well mannered way, always asked if we want something to drink with our order, and then sometimes asked if we wanted to try their cookie, and their cookies are so delicious! We have never talked to the cook, but he’s typically in the back anyway. We never really noticed him ever come up to the front counter area. I understand that there are mixed reviews on this place but all I would say is to just try it out for yourself at least once. If you hate it, don’t ever go there again; but if you love it, then you will have a reliable place to go to on the waterfront whenever you’re in the area!

The first time we ate here a couple years ago, we fell in love with the clam strips. We’ve made it sort of a tradition, that whenever in Seattle, and whenever on the waterfront, we stop here to have a quick snack of clam strips. The location and view, even on a rainy day, are really amazing. This time, we even went out of our way to get here from the Aquarium. All of the insane construction on the waterfront made it more difficult to get here, but we made it. The place was empty. We were the only customers. It usually is pretty empty whenever we stop by here. The cashier took my order right away and we got our drinks and sat down. I ordered the clam strips and a small bowl of clam chowder. The chowder is just OK. Better than anything I could get in Arizona, but not as good as most of what I’ve had in Seattle. The clam strips were yummy as usual. Other people speak about the stuff being frozen, but I don’t get that impression and it was all cooked fine. I think the cook at this place is good for what he does. Now on to why this place got three stars. Much like some of the other reviews here state, the employees of this place need a LOT of work. I will not give them 1 star like some of the other reviews because, like most places that sell fried food, the employees were teenagers, maybe college students. We went on the day the Seahawks got trounced by the Panthers in the playoffs and the game was on TV. The employee, along with two other guys who were also employees, apparently there on their days off, were watching the game on the TV. That’s fine by me, until they began yelling profanities at the TV and at each other. One employee was openly bashing the manager of the place, who by the way poked her head out once around a corner, which prompted the employees to hide, and then she disappeared. These guys yelling caused my girlfriend and myself to really not enjoy our experience, so we asked for to go containers and left. These guys got so agitated and loud, they actually gave my girlfriend an anxiety attack. It was pretty unnerving. I doubt these guys got the drift that they chased us out of the place, but I’m hoping that the owner or GM of this place reads this review and gets their employees in order. I’d hate to not make this a tradition just because the employees are all undisciplined. I also visited the location in the Airport on the way out of Seattle. I got the halibut and it was really good. Still don’t get the impression any of this stuff is frozen.

Unfortunately, the food was not good. It’s a great location but I do not recommend this place. I got the fish and chips and for a restaurant to claims to be a fish bar and if it’s the main item on the menu, then it should be fresh and taste good. The fish was previously frozen and the fries weren’t made in-house. Even the tarter sauce was bad…

Right on the water with outside seating. Order the Mahi Mahi taco which was hands down the best fish taco I’ve had yet. The sauce and dressings enhanced the flavor. Super delicious!

My husband and I were looking for a quick snack and ordered two fresh grilled salmon tacos. They were delicious! Great service and very clean. I took note that the chef’s wash their hands between orders. Very impressive.

Went to the airport location and we were all impressed, much better food than our otherwise wonderful cruise. Our waitress really knew how to handle a group with small children and tired adults. The peach special Cosmo and dessert were terrific!

Not good. Very basic. The clam chowder in the bread bowl was mostly potato with little clam. Staff seemed friendly, however the place certainly benefits from its prime location. Keep walking and find a better place to spend your cash.

Here’s the thing… It’s Seattle. You’re surrounded by amazing seafood. So why would you go here? Because sometimes simple is best. Recommend by a Public Marker vendor as a quick but good lunch, he did not disappoint. Chowder was great. If you get the large, you’ll fill up quick. Cod fish and chips were fresh and tasted good. Staff was friendly but we were lucky that we caught it at a slow time.

Food was pretty good. Their chowder is above par and those fish tacos were also decent. Fries were subpar though. Their beer selection is weak and after a tasting I skipped it. Their men’s room was really dirty and it looks like it wasn’t cleaned in hours. Overall, If you’re looking for convenient food then it’s worth it. However I wouldn’t make a special trip here.

Great fish and chips and the chowder is pretty good too. It’s my go-to lunch spot with a great view of bell harbor marina and the bay.

Actually — didn’t have a chance to try this one but the one at SeaTac airport inside security. We had lunch there(Poke and Garlic Grill Prawns) and it was so good we got a couple clam chowder bread bowls with salads for the flight home — fantastic! Will definitely go to the downtown one next trip out. Fantastic food and great value!

Only people here. Waited for the 2 people working to engage us in any way for a bit, even though the both glanced up at us and went back to what they were doing. The cook finally spoke up and asked what we would like. I asked if I could order from him and he said he could get my food started but not take my order. Keep in mind the woman that was supposed to take our order was 10 feet away replenishing napkins and to go items. Then we waited patiently while the cook again helped someone behind us with some cookies. He asked the woman working to ring them up and she said hold on and continued stocking napkins? Now 2 people in line ready to go, but she cared more about napkins and straws. You could tell the cook seemed frustrated to. After a few minutes(it was strange and uncomfortable we kinda just looked at each other wondering what was going on) she reluctantly rang the cookie people up and then us. We ordered 2 drinks, but she never gave us cups. And wandered into the back before I got a chance to ask for our drink cups. Once they announced our food was ready I asked for our drink cups and the woman behind the counter said«water cups?» I reminded her we paid for 2 drinks. She scrutinized our receipt before handing them over. Now the food. I watched the cook pull the clams and the fries from the freezer, no big deal I didn’t have high hopes after witnessing the service. But never saw my fish or shrimp go into the fryer. I did however notice fish and shrimp sitting pre cooked in a steam table pan. I suspect that is what I got. The shrimp was overly greasy and the batter had turned mushy where I assume it had been sitting in a pan. The fish was the same, soggy and overly greasy. We only ate the fries then decided to go somewhere else for lunch. I don’t normally complain at a restaurant, but was tempted to here. I didn’t because clearly the woman working in the front of the house could care less about customer service, let alone our experience.

Anthony’s Fish Bar and Anthony’s Diner both serve up some of the best fish n’ chips in Seattle. If you’re hungry and just care about satisfying your craving for crunchy comfort food, order their true cod fish n’ chips. I can’t speak much about their other menu items and service as I always come here when I’m too hungry to care.

Lovely outdoor seating by the wharf — especially nice when sunny. Generally when done right the fish and chips in the unique tempera batter is wonderful. However the staff at this particular store seem to lack motivation. Service very slow, fish and chips sometimes soggy. Straw that broke the camel’s back — came in during the afternoon — no staff to be found but«friends» sitting at a table said they would be back. After waiting 10 minutes left — I’m not sure why Anthony’s which has a great restaurant next door allows such shoddy service. Would be 1 star but they do have lovely fish and chips in general(other restaurants in their chain worth going to).

Ordered grill mahi mahi taco and clam chowder. Fish is fresh and home made clam chowder really hot and good flavor. Both under $ 10 on a waterfront location, what a deal, however the tortilla chip is not that good, other than this, it’s great!

The location is situated so that you have a breathtaking view of the sound. I’ve been here numerous times and I always take my out of town guests here. This is definitely a romantic hot spot regardless if it is during the day or at night. The seafood is fresh and prepared perfectly to enhance the natural flavors without being overbearing. Their menu is vast with a great selection of adult beverages and desserts too! I highly recommend it!

Love Anthony’s Fish Bar! Right across from the Marriott, right down the Waterfront from the Seattle Aquarium. Amazing food, great service with usually super friendly & helpful staff. Great views, great food a couple of decent tap beers…

Came to Seattle looking for great seafood and had high expectations when I found Anthony’s, recommended to me by several people on my wanderings before dinner. The view from the outside deck overlooking the Ferris wheel has amazing flowers and was beautiful. The food however, was just so-so. I got the Alaska weathervane scallops with bacon jam and the crispy calamari with lemon aioli. The scallops were ok, but seemed to have some sort of tomato sauce on them rather than bacon jam. The plate was also swimming in some sort of liquid so they were a bit soggy. The calamari also did not live up to its name-was very soggy and a bit cold instead of crispy and warm and delicious. The lemon aioli was really good though, and actually went well with the scallops-maybe a better combo for the future! As for the wine, I got the flight of the 3 rose wines and they were all fantastic. Might come back again to try something else if I am ever back in the Bay Area.

Two words«Happy Hour»!! We walked past the sign a few times during our trip and finally decided to fill up here before hitting the road back to Vancouver. 4−7pm they offer drink and appy specials in the bar area, be sure to let them know why you’re there as the restaurant side offers the full menu without specials allowed. For less than $ 40 we got two pints of beer, 5 appies including tax and tip, and walked out happy and filled with a tasty dinner to keep us going. The spinach dip was fantastic, as were the salmon sliders and mussels. I’d order any of them again and will certainly be back!

Excellent fish and chips, casual place, outdoor seating, and a very relaxing view of the marina and water front properties The fish they offer are Alaska cod, salmon, and I forget what else. The fish is really good, so are the fries and the service.
