Do not go here!!! This place is completely unsanitary and I am reporting them to the health department as they are in major violation. They don’t wash the basins between customers, their tools aren’t clean, there is no hand washing between customers, they will try and reuse filthy toe separators, grungy callous scrapers with old skin on them, etc etc. I witnessed all of this I less than 10 minutes of waiting. It is utterly repellent and not worth the risk.

I’m a guy who likes to get his feet done. I used to live in White Center and got my hooves done at Tiffany Nail Salon on Ambaum. Anyways I digress. Bottom line, after getting my feet done at this place I got the worst case of athletes foot I ever had. I should have known that it could happen. For one thing, they hardly put any disinfectant into the foot basin. For another the tools they used were not clean. There was rust on the clippers and and the place was run down and falling apart. I mean these ladies no malice, but it took me almost two months to recover from my fungal infection. Warning, if you have sensitive skin, this place is probably not where you want to entrust your well being to.

I’ve been going to this salon for about 7 years. I don’t go to be steeped in luxury or indulge my senses in aesthetic splendor. I go to get a pedicure, manicure, and/or wax skillfully done for a great price. The sisters always keep up with developments in my life, and they do not want me to leave without perfect work on whatever I chose to have done. If I mess up a nail myself before I leave, they redo it beautifully with no guilt trip. Culturally, this shop has its own personality. If you want Gene Juarez butt kissin’, you’re at the wrong shop!

I have been going to Annie’s Nails for at least 5 years. They are very competent, fairly priced and extremely nice.

These ladies are one of first nail salons in Ballard. They are fast, very good and remember many of their client’s names. They are always sweet about asking how you are and remember important details about you. I have been going there for YEARS and I love them.

Went in for a(very overdue) fill and pedicure. It was Sunday and I only had a couple hours free so my options were very limited and I decided to give Annie’s a try since they were open and are close to my house. The ladies were friendly and the pedicure is fine but my nails are thick and lumpy. Yuck! I can’t wait to go get them fixed at Tina’s or Shadow this week!

I went on Monday after work to get a full set done. It was really bad in there. The salon itself was pretty run-down:old furniture, an awful rug, bad pink paint job, etc. That does not really bother me, but CLEANYOURSALON! It is really dusty dirty grungy. One worker watched TV and read magazines the whole time I was there. She should put as much effort into a mop and rag. The work station and tools were nasty too. There was not a bottle of Barbacide anywhere to be seen. I should have left after my woman cut my pinky really bad with her Dremmel, but I stayed. The cut is very deep and sore. She never once apologised for cutting me, but she did do a damn good job of pretending that it never happened. I do feel very foolish for staying. I wish I had the balls to leave, but I did not. I will never ever go back, and I urge you to save yourself some pain and money and do not go here either.
