Great local joint. So nice to have something more EuroBrazilian around. Let’s hope enough business continues to darken its doors to add some more life to the Broadview neighborhood. The pizza, btw, is very good. Try the smoked salmon and goat cheese one.

Everything was good; however, the overall atmosphere didn’t quite mesh with the good quality of drinks. In essence, this is a reverse review. I feel the owner and his expansive knowledge of liquor could be better represented at an upscale eatery. Instead we are left with a semi-shallow, would-be sports bar with too few patrons. The good: Pizza was ok. Bartender was spot on. The bad: dead and too few clients would understand the owners lust for booze. Thanks

The owner Sam contacted me immediately and felt horrible and offered to compensate me for my bad experience. He also told me they aren’t using that table when it comes to reservations anymore. Just hearing that the owner listened to my complaint and was generous enough to compensate me is more than enough. I will definitely return.

If all the positive reviews aren’t enough to make you want to check this place out, look at the negative reviews. Of the very few people that had issues with this place, Sam, the owner of All Nations has responded to each one to try and remedy the complaint. Sam really cares about his customers and treats them like family. You feel comfortable and welcome from the moment you walk in. Secondly, the«mixologist», Justin, is amazingly knowledgeable and talented! Not to mention hilarious and quite entertaining! He’s got a couple of his own creations on the menu but you will also be in for something incredible if you just let him mix you up something special. I could go on and on and talk about the menu(which is AMAZING and not typical«bar food») but since everyone has different tastes, you should just go to the website and look at the menu… you won’t be disappointed at the variety and flavor of the food! Don’t judge this place by the outside… it doesn’t look spectacular… looks a little like«just another sports bar» but it is SO much more! Trust me!

This is a follow up from my original review dated 4÷11÷2010. Shortly after I wrote my original review Sam, the owner of All Nations, emailed me in response to my review. In his email he agreed to quite a bit of what I had to say and wanted to explain why he had some of the policies he had(«Had» being the operative word here). He explained that the reason behind the auto gratuity was that when people come in to watch a sports-match and order a pizza and a few beverages over a few hours then it’s the servers that usually get shorted as the tables don’t turn very often. He has since done away with that policy. He also stated that he was making changes to the viewing room and updating some equipment. He asked me to come back and see the changes. I did and, liking what I saw, also went one better, I purchased a membership for the year and committed to Sam that I would be attending the World Cup with him at All Nations. I have to admit that Sam’s passion and consideration is infectious and I’m now a convert. So, here’s the bottom line: The food is very good, the service, since the first experience, has been excellent, the auto gratuity is gone, and the equipment has been upgraded and easier to view. I have enjoyed my return visits chatting with Sam and his staff. Now my appeal: If you are there to watch a soccer match, baseball game, football game… please be generous to your servers. Add a few extra dollars for the extra time you are sitting at the tables. If you choose to go to All Nations for the World Cup I will see you there.

Ok, here’s the story. My first review of this place was based on a bad experience with a delivered pizza I ordered. Sam(the owner) sent a polite message to me explaining that his previous pizza making person had made a series of unacceptable mistakes and suggested that I try his pizza again. Anyone who goes to the effort to make things right and clearly cares what people think of his restaurant definitely deserve a second chance. I don’t know who is making the pizzas now(Sam?) but this time was a definite improvement. His pizza is a different style than what I’m used to with a thinner crust but now that I’ve seen the restaurant, met the friendly bar-tender, and met Sam I’ll be going back. The menu has lots of interesting and tasty items on it… the baklava was good, I wanna try the Orange Flan with Berry Sauce :)

An as-good-as-it-gets neighborhood bar in an area that sorely needed a good one. There’s a serious community feel to the place and the staff is possibly the most friendly in all of seattle. The clientele is similarly friendly, seems like just about everyone in the bar is ready to talk to you. They have a tremendous spirits selection and a cool spirit of the month thing where each month they have a different high quality, hard-to-find spirit. This month, it was the crown royal xr, which was very yummy. They’ve also got 13 cachacas which I didn’t even know about before coming to this place. The food is great, in fact some of the best I’ve had for the price, and there are a lot of brazilian influenced dishes that are tough to find in seattle. I’ve ate here maybe 5 or 6 times now and haven’t been disappointed once.

We came here on our roommate’s recommendation — this is Shu Z’s New Favorite Bar in Seattle(if you search his Unilocal you’ll find all the best places to go) Went in. The interior is nothing to note, but whatever. We walk in and we are slammed with some Friday night salsa! Or something. Keep in mind, it is 1AM and everyone is still crazy about dancing. We took a seat at the bar and were immediately recognized by Justin, our bartender for the evening. Place has a lot of beers you won’t find at your average sportsbar. Justin was SUPERKNOWLEDGEABLE and gave me the Full History of cachaça AND a free sample. Seriously, this guy is super friendly, super welcoming, and knows a few things about his liquor. We mentioned Shu(a new fan, he’s only been going there about two weeks) and they exclaimed«Shu!!» and relayed his world tour of Scotches to us.(Shu is always the exclusive Scotch fan) Fuck, we love this place.

I joined the member’s club the first time, I checked this place out. I immediately knew I was at home here, plus I live close by. The staff is some of the most gracious and family-oriented people around this area. Shoreline/North Seattle needed an upscale bar like this where you not only get a serving of liquors you won’t find anywhere else, but you’ll get a serving of knowledge to go along with it from Justin, master mixologist and bartender extraordinaire! The drink of the month is always ½ price for members, but were not talking cheap swill here. We are talking $ 140 a bottle Crown Royal XR, Johnny Walker Blue Label, Sazerac Rye Whiskey, or house-infused specialties such as Cumari Pepper Gin or Dark Chocolate/Espresso vodka. The beer selections are always revolving yet the house tap features Hobgoblin Ale from England, and for now the only place you will find it on tap in the US is All-Nations. Sam’s Brazilian dishes are extremely tasty and exotic, yet they also offer dishes that appeal to the more finicky eater. For a good deal try their pizza radizzio on Fridays(all you can eat neopolitan-style, thin crust pizzas and a variety of gourmet salads for $ 16). And if you are fan of football(Euro-style), rugby, and other sports this is the place to watch on their high-def big screens! Bienvenidos, Amigos! See you there!

They take their food a lot more seriously than you’d think. The food is actually pretty good. The service is extremely friendly. I get the feeling that they’re struggling and they want to make a good impression, which I appreciate. It’s an interesting restaurant. Live music, big screen sports, bar, sit-down restaurant, odd part of town, etc. I think they even have a sort of dim sum, where they bring food around on carts.

Awesome pizza, unfortunate interior. That pretty much sums it up. The pizza was really, really good; the beer selection is great and it looks like they have a ton of other mix drinks(I am not a fan of the cocktail myself). The exterior as well as the interior isn’t too inviting but don’t let that keep you away. This is not the place you want to take your first date to for a romantic evening out(unless you come for the Tango night on Friday evenings) but to eat one of the best pizza in town, have a good beer, and enjoy conversations with the friendly staff. Also, they finally got pitchers so your soccer team can now drink & dine after games!

Don’t let the location fool you — this is an up and coming gem if you like great service, creative menus and of course, soccer. We went on a whim on Valentine’s Day night so I imagine it was more quiet than usual. The service was warm and inviting — we felt like special guests. The menu is great — nothing ‘run of the mill’ even the burger and hot dog have a creative twist(and great Macrina buns!). The wine and spirts list is way beyond what you’d expect in a ‘soccer bar’ — and this is definitely a family friendly place. We’ll definitely come back and bring our friends — it’s roomy with lots of tables for larger parties.

Fantastic food, amazing drinks, and out-of-this-world service. This is a great place for someone who has good taste and can appreciate the tastier things in life. The proprieter is very friendly, involved, and proud of his business. Justin, the bartender, makes some of the yummiest drinks I have ever had. It isn’t excessively cheap, but the prices are awesome for the quality of product you get.

This place is great. The Aurora/Greenwood district doesn’t have much to offer, and this is finally ustina classy joint in a sea of grimace-inducing dive bars. The owner(Sam) is wonderfully warm and personable, and Justin the bartender is a self-proclaimed mixologist and something of a liquor snob, in the friendliest and most interesting of ways. He will spend time chatting with you, explaining your drink to you, and coming up with something unique if you’re feeling like being adventurous. The food is great too — the pizza is great, they have a substantial menu for a bar, the cumari steak is tender and juicy and the cumari peppers that they are so fond of makes the atomic fireball of alcoholic drinks… and it goes down smoothly, too. Come to think of it, this whole place goes down smoothly — show some interest and respect for good alcohol, and you may just find yourself with a sample of one of the house’s favorite concoctions, free and just-for-kicks.

Margaret and I started the evening in search of some cheap eats and found All Nations. The parking lot was pretty empty, but, despite Margaret’s trepidation, we went in. Good thing we did. All Nations might seem like another sports bar, but it’s way more than that. Yes, I would strongly recommend people going there to watch your favorite soccer/football team kick it up. However, it is also an awesome place to discover some killer Brazilian-influenced food. The gracious and generous Sam Hasan is the chef-owner, and he really knows what he is doing. Margaret ordered the Coronation Chicken sandwich. But, NOOO! This was not any mere chicken salad sandwich. It was chick-sal-sand to perfection. Chopped smoked chicken with just enough mayo to bind the meat together and a touch of curry to seamlessly transition into the minced pineapple and raisins – way better than celery. All this on a Macrina ciabatta roll. Such balance of flavors I’ve never tasted in a chick-sal-sand. Also, the vinagrette dressing on the salad was clear, simple and direct without failing in the flavors. I started with the cold Syrian Eggplant Salad. This was a very tasty, stewy mess of eggplant, carrot, red and green peppers, onions, and garlic. The«Syrian» spices really brought everything together, I think this could also have made a wicked sloppy veggy sandwich or as a relish topping for a spicy sausage hoagie sandwich. I suppose I ought to take some home and give it the test. Yum! Since I’m a big fan of black beans, I ordered a side of the Brazilian Black beans. This was served in a little cup, which kind of disappointed me at first. I think I would have been happy to have dumped it on top of the rice(Beans-and-Rice! Beans-and-Rice! Yay!!!) that accompanied my entrée, but that was okay. Why? Because the beans were so damn delicious. For anyone who has tried Paseo’s(Fremont and Golden Gardens) black beans, then you know that you need to head north for these: Paseo’s finally has competiton if not usurper of the crown for the best black beans in Seattle. My entrée was the Chicken el Nino. This is bird marinated in lime, agave nectar and Latin spices, finished with tequila. If you are smart – and can handle heat – do what I did and have them kick it up a touch with the house cumari. As a matter of fact, if they’re willing, get them to leave a tiny dish filled with cumari on the table. This could very well be some of the best hot sauce/salsa you’ve ever tried. I kid you not. And, yes, the rice was good. I think it was quickly fried with cilantro, carrots, red and green bell peppers, sliced jalapenos, and onions. The whole effect was very tasty. I washed this down with a draft Hobgoblin dark English lager – something you can only find in bottle elsewhere. All so special, no? In one of the other reviews, someone complained about the owner. Well, I have to say that he was completely unlike how he was described. Sam Hasan proved himself to be a very interesting, intelligent, kind, and generous person. His server, Justin, was equally wonderful. Yes, we were the only people there, but, I think it a sign when the staff does take the time to get to know you when they could otherwise be sitting on their butts. Actually, Sam and Justin were more than just nice. I think the words, «warmly hospitable,» come to mind. All of us got to talking about the booze selection(Take note here you cocktail aficiondos: Justin is a very knowledgeable Arizona drink slinger) in the«Liquid Kitchen.» They have some amazing stuff. For the single-malt whiskey drinker, they actually have Yamazaki, as well as Carthy’s 3yr/old single-malt out of Oregon. Yes, yes, the usual suspects are there too, but the point is that All Nations makes it point to seek out the very best and unique. This all is fine – and very fine at that. However, Sam and Justin also introduced us to their«skeels” – all in tiny sampler glasses. How about these: «CCC» for Coffee, Cocoa, and Cognac. «Cabocla»: Cachaca(no proper font available for Portuguese spellings), infused with cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, honey, and lime. «London Sunrise» made of tonic, lime, cumari(remember the pepper sauce?), and gin. «Justin’s Bonfire» made of guarana, cumari and gin. All of these were very refined concoctions. Some were as much marvels for the nose as they were for the palate. However, what was most apparent was the deep understanding of the ingredients and how they all came together. I suppose that can be said about everything that Margaret and I had at All Nations. Nuff said, eh? Go there now! –Dave Eriksen

Great place to watch soccer. Used to be Mr. Bill’s, now it’s a somewhat Brazilian-themed menu and many carachas… yum… Justin is awesome, the pizza is great, they care about their patrons and I know this is going to be a regular hang-out for us. They love the Cumari — and so do I now.

This place is awesome to watch futbol. I have been here to watch the away Sounders matches, you may just find some of the members of the Sound Wave here, and this place has gotten better each time I come here. The bar tender is awesome, the owner is seen, heard, and makes sure that you are having a great time. The bar is stocked with all types of exotic liquors and they have great beers on tap. If you are going to frequent this bar I suggest joining the club. I have had nothing but a great time every time I go here.
