Just had a few minutes to grab a bite before my plane left, so we picked up the breakfast sandwich. It was pretty good, generous portion, and the waitress was nice. She helped us get our order in quickly, and also packed it up for us to take on the plane. She also mixed me up some pineapple and orange juice upon request, while we waited on the food, so I liked that too.

Took me 15 minutes to get greeted after I sat down at the bar, with my server clearly seeing me sit down and ignored me multiple times, and then 25 minutes to get my food to go. Almost missed my flight due to the extremely terrible and slow service. Also very limited menu and too expensive for what you get.

This place is a double thumbs down. It looks super cool and inviting. The service is slow and inattentive.

Should have checked Unilocal before coming here for lunch before a flight. Service is horrible(we were in the bar). I asked the server how long it would take to get a burger and she wouldn’t answer only saying get a cold sandwich if you are in a hurry. Margarita is made with marginal tequila and you can tell. Chowder was served in a styrofoam container. Save time and frustration and grab food from the bagel place.

Like another reviewer said, this place was rated highly on a local blog, but poorly on Unilocal! We had a «just fine» airport experience. Service was fast, attentive and friendly. We arrived 10 minutes before lunch, and our server was accommodating whether we wanted to order breakfast now or wait for lunch – we didn’t feel rushed or pressured at all. A refill of coffee came about 5 minutes after the mug was emptied – not as fast as a good restaurant, but not terrible either, with only 2 servers working. Check came at an appropriate time as well. Prices were higher than the food justified, but not terrible for airport prices. Hubs had the continental breakfast, which was plain imo, but a good deal including coffee and«real food»(as opposed to super highly processed pre-packaged stuff frequently found in airports). I had a bagel sandwich. Not terrible after the addition of some S&P. The fruit salad with both our meals was fresh and of good size. The décor was nice, and the menu not at all African-based.

It’s okay for an airport lounge. My server was friendly and relatively quick. The bartender was funny, talking about wearing flip-flops in the rain. She was also very helpful in giving directions on getting around the airport and how long it would take to get to various gates. I’d come here again next time I fly through SEATAC.

Overpriced drinks, and bad service. I thought the bartender was going to bite my head off when I asked for another round. She then made several other people’s drinks, and walked around to see if anyone else wanted anything and then I had to ask again(Which I hate doing, but I did have to catch a flight). It is in an Airport so your options are limited.

An ok breakfast stop, much better than plane food. I had their Bloody Mary which was pretty tasty and had a lot of spice to it. I had the eggs and toast for breakfast. The eggs only come scrambled. You could tell that they were pre made eggs and the bacon had also already been warmed up. However, it wasn’t too bad. You won’t be able to eat on real plates or use real silverware, it was all plastic(airport rules maybe?). Service was good, our waiter was checking in on us. Overall, it was Ok, but what can you expect from an airport?

I had the ribs. I was craving something substantial but didn’t want to get a burger. The portion size of the ribs was decent but I had to wait about 15 minutes from sitting down to ordering because the two waitresses were quite busy. I suppose you shouldn’t get food at a sit down place when you are less than an hour from boarding. Then again, the Seahawks were playing so I thought I would get a seat. The ribs had lots of BBQ sauce. The waitress brought it with extra napkins though I wished they had wet naps. It was a little hard to slice apart with just a plastic fork and knife but I managed. The coleslaw and the beans that came with the ribs were okay. The garlic bread weren’t toasted crispy but I ate them anyhow. I got my bill relatively fast because I had to run to board my flight. I don’t know if I would come again. There are definitely better choices for food in this airport if you are not going to drink or watch football.

For breakfast this wasn’t too bad a place, considering you are in an airport and looking for table service. Breakfast owlets were good and the service was quick. No problems but nothing special either…

Came here out of necessity for a restaurant before we took off to go to Alaska. It was rated #1 in the best restaurants at the airport but yet on Unilocal 2 and half stars? We came here anyway and sat down to a comfy booth. They had a TV that has nfl network on which was good with me. Our waitress ok, not the friendliest of people but her coworker was way cooler. We ordered the bacon bbq burger and chicken breast burger. No buns on lettuce. It was good. Nothing to brag about. All burgers come well done which sucks and I’m guessing the cooks don’t want to take a chance. The clan chowder was good, Especially for it being airport food.

I know a ton of reviews had a negative experience, but I dind’t. Seating was a bit awkward, as there was no one there to greet you, but once I sat at a table, service greeted me promptly. I ordered the wings and a side salad, both ended up being large enough for a meal. Food came out fast and hot, and the bill followed as quickly. If it weren’t for the awkward seating, I would give this 5 stars for what it is.

I had a bit of time to kill tonight so I stopped in while waiting for my flight. Wine list is limited to Mondavi brand wines at $ 8 per glass. Service initially was quick and friendly. I ordered a glass of wine and French dip. Everything came fairly quickly. But then my server Isabel disappeared. Seriously gone for 45 minutes. When she came back she apologized and acted like she had been abducted by aliens. She seemed frazzled and couldn’t explain her disappearance. I asked for the check and that took another 10 minutes. Food was fair at best but when you are in an airport time and prompt services really matters. I wouldn’t come back for a free meal.

Even with the 2 star average review, I’m going to go with three here. I don’t expect much from an airport restaurant. The place is clean when I’ve stopped by. I seat myself and usually a waiter/waitress comes up with a menu and asks for my drink order within a minute. I’ve gone with the turkey burger twice now. Neither time I was dissatisfied. The burger isn’t amazing and tastes like it was frozen but it’s definitely better than stopping by a McDonald’s or fast food chain joint.

Look here, all the bars in this airport are ridiculously overpriced and I don’t understand why anyone would want a full sit down meal in an airport. That being said, we just needed a quick beer/drink between flights and Africa Lounge had ample space, outlets for our electronics, and a discount we couldn’t refuse. ;P Good service. Got a $ 3 shot with our Beers. Good Selection/Variety of Beer on Tap though mostly local so keep an open mind and when in doubt ask to taste test first. ;) Our bartender was nice and attentive considering we were getting 3 drinks each and trying to catch our flight. We ran up and down this whole wing looking for a place to get a drink, and after passing Tap Room, Vino Vino, and a few other places we landed here! If I’m at SeaTac ever, I’d come back. ;)

Goodness gracious. For an airport restaurant, it’s confusing. I showed up 1.5 hours early to my flight to find that it was delayed an extra hour. So I decided to get breakfast and kill some time at the Africa Lounge. I ordered their basic breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast, potatoes, and sausage with coffee. It took 45 minutes to get delivered to the table and when it arrived… it was room temp. I suppose that this experience could’ve been saved if they could’ve made it at least mediocre(how can you mess up eggs??) but it was worse than school cafeteria food. It tasted like leftover breakfast that had been microwaved and then cooled back down to serve. Yikes. just pass and find somewhere else to kill time.

Yeah, two stars is about right. We were seated and then not attended to quickly, even though we only had 45 minutes so were in a bit of a time pinch… our server was glazed-over and kind of absent from the moment… and the food was just okay, a bit pricey. African? We had two cheeseburgers and fries. A Diet Coke and a water. Oh, zebra striped chairs. Got it. Yay theme parties. Seriously you guys, hire a gay(like us), we throw way better theme brunches than this.

Props to Africa Lounge for being an adequate sit-down restaurant/bar near our gate. After getting through security, we had a couple hours to waste, and hoped to find a secluded lounge-type establishment. Most of the food options were too«fast» for our liking. We chose Africa Lounge and was not disappointed. Inside, the décor consists of some light African flare, but mostly ample sitting room and a cozy bar with several TV’s. We didn’t order any drinks, though they had a pretty good special where you could buy a beer and add on a shot for just a few more dollars. We opted for the spinach and artichoke dip to start. The flavors were ok, nothing to write home about, but a decent appetizer choice. For the entrée, we split their chicken sandwich with fries. Again, it’s not exciting food, but all we wanted was something to hold us over for the flight. The service was decent. Not many people were in the dining room, so our food came out quickly. No complaints about the customer service here. Overall, Africa Lounge served it’s purpose as a watering hole resting place for us to grab a quick bite. The subdued lighting and quieter ambiance makes this place a good one to check out while waiting for your flight.
