Hit or miss. The service is exceptional some days. Others? Everyone looks super mad.(I suppose many workplaces are like that though!) I just never know what I’m going to get. There is a young man who typically works around 12pm to 2pm Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays that’s very nice. I haven’t caught his name but he’s consistently cheerful.

Nightmare parking and drive thru! Great location, I love coming on my way to work, but unfortunately 9⁄10 the parking lot is full and the drive thru line goes out to the street. today the line was out to the street so I pulled into the parking lot hoping to find a spot. Of course I didn’t so had to maneuver a way to get back to the street because once you pull in your basically trapped inside. I was backing up and apparently got close to a parked car and was approached by an employee who accused me of hitting her coworkers car(whom she was parked next to). First of all, the employees should not be allowed to take up all the parking spots when there are literally only 6 available! So I get out of the car to assess«the damage» and she points out her coworkers damage on her bumper and insists that It was from me because«she walks by her car everyday and this was NEVER there!» Mind you this girls bumper looks like she has been involved in multiple car accidents and never repaired. I assured her there was no way it was from my car because A. My car was perfect and B. The damage didn’t even match up with my car(very clear to see). I even pointed out her bumper was even melting off in one part and she said«that’s from your muffler because it’s hot». LMAO! I didn’t have time to argue with her being that I was on my way to work and had just intended to stop for a quick cup of coffee, so I went inside to speak with her friend. Thankfully her friend was honest and shrugged it off because she is well aware to the very obvious scratches and dents on her car. So annoying that this girl totally wasted my time with her nonsense and I didn’t get my coffee fix because of it. An apology would have helped, but she very casually just shrugged her shoulders and said don’t worry about it… Gee Thanks :)

This is the thunderdome parking lot. I’ve never had a more chaotic driving experience since navigating the circles of Paris in a Chevy S-10. The chaos is not very rewarding as this location seems to have trouble getting orders right and it’s just not worth staying any longer than needed to try and fix it. While they are acceptable, I highly recommend traveling in any direction for a few minutes and enjoying a Starbucks where your gall won’t dictate how soon you can park or get into the drive-thru line.

Worst Starbucks I’ve ever been to. And I have been to countless Starbucks all over the world. I’d estimate I spend about $ 250/mo at Starbucks so you could be sure I know what I’m talking about. I’ve never experienced rude service at a Starbucks before today. The first barista refused to give me a refill on my coffee. Citing there is a store policy which discriminates against people who have walked out of the store with their cup. If you like fresh air and wish to sit outside you will pay for that privilege by being charged full price. No refill for you! So when you re-enter the store even if it’s the same store you had purchased that same cup of coffee from you will pay full price for a new cup. I was in a good mood so I didn’t bother arguing and just let her charge me full price for my refill. I asked her to give me a red cup this time so I could take a picture with my cup for a chance to win $ 500 gift certificate #redcupcontest. That Starbucks had emailed an advertisement about. I then mixed my new cup with my still half filled old cup in order to blend the taste of the caramel sauce I had previously gotten. Then asked for a refill using the new red cup I had just paid full price for. A different barista, tall skinny brunette, who has been working at this same Starbucks for a long time Argued with me over whether I had walked in to Starbucks with the red cup in my hand or with the white cup I had actually purchased earlier. She basically told me I was lying about just purchasing the red cup. The customer s always right? Lol. Not here. At this Starbucks you agree with the barista or you are called a liar. She cited the reason she was refusing to refill my coffee being I had walked into the Starbucks with the cup I was asking to have refilled. The red cup. She even directly said she saw me walk in to Starbucks with the red cup. A statement that isn’t true. She then Walked away from the counter visibly frustrated as if I had done something wrong. Meanwhile I was calm and honest the entire time. I didn’t raise my voice or even call her a liar as she did me. I had literally just purchased that red cup a minute before hand from the first barista who confirmed it but also refused to give me a refill because I had mixed that cup in with the other cup. I explained I had done so to take advantage of the caramel sauce that was previously in my cup. She either didn’t believe me or was having a bad day or just wanted to be a team player with her other barista in mistreating customers. I don’t know but either way she basically refused me service. I was in a great mood this morning until I was treated like a liar disrespected overcharged and then refused service. There are many other Starbucks all of them with nice people and good service. I’d recommend not ever going to this one. I will never be back.

When the 1 is jammed, this is your place for coffee. It’s conveniently located right off the highway, so you don’t have to detour much if you want to get a cup. Friendly baristas and drinks were made right. Not a place I would come to sit at, however.

Not sure of the name of the guy that helped me but he was probably one of the better barista’s I’ve dealt with. He was friendly, upbeat and got all my order correctly the first time through. The only downside to coming to this Starbucks is the traffic that you’ll have to put up with. The city engineers did a poor job is designing the roadway, off ramps, and the on ramps to HWY1. It’s hard to describe but be prepared to wait 5 – 10 minutes to get in and out of the complex during commute.

This Starbucks is terrible. When the drive-thru line is full(which it usually is) people will block traffic waiting for the line to move. I can’t believe Starbucks allows this. Also, they let bums stand right outside their drive-thru window with enormous signs asking for money. Thanks for contributing to the panhandling epidemic we are already dealing with. This place sucks.

This is my go to Starbucks. The only drawback to this location is the parking situation. That needs work, but I am not docking any stars. I usually end up parking next door at Mcdonalds and walking over. The service here is friendly and they make consistently good drinks even when I have five modifications. They are also a funny crew and regularly make me laugh when I am ordering in the drive thru.

my order: Cold(no ice) grande green tea latte with soymilk &2 extra scoops of matcha. My drink still turned out really good, but i was a little disappointed in how my drink order turned out and the service. I always ask for no ice so that i get what i pay for($ 4.55) but they still never fill it up all the way. As you can see in the picture. And the guy who took my order wasn’t too friendly after i told him how i wanted it. C’mon, my order’s not that complicated…

I could be wrong, but it seems that any time I review someplace as «good» the next time I go it’s almost as if they’re determined to prove me wrong. Granted, I make fun of the ten sentence drink order people, but I wouldn’t consider Quad grande caramel macchiato to be overly uppity. It’s a pretty simple order to make, four shots, a couple squirts of whatever is in the jumbo tubs, milk, caramel. Today, it came as an entire glass of espresso, two drops of milk… and a lid. I suppose I should have known it was off when the side of the cup wasn’t smeared with caramel as it normally is. It must be difficult to squirt in a cup? My recommendation… if you’re going to go to this Starbucks, hit it between 6 and 715’ish’. By 11 they seem to forget how to do things. Lines move more slowly and the homeless dude(any of them… I think they have a union and rotate each day) is far more intent on getting your change. …maybe, if you didn’t smoke you’d have more cash for living.(yes. yes, I’m an insensitive jerk. I’m ok with that) Starbucks, you pissed me off today.

Freezing! Definitely not a place to sit and study. I had an early morning car repair appointment and figured I’d come to this Starbucks to get some work done while waiting. It was absolutely freezing inside, and I moved around to several tables but each was right under an AC vent. The AC was on at 7am! I eventually went and sat in my car in the parking lot until my service appointment, and then just waited and did my work at the dealership. Also — the parking lot here is dreadful!

HORRIBLEHORRIBLEHORRIBLE!!! My family and I come to Monterey quite often and we stay in a hotel near by, so this is the closest Starbucks for us. I must say that I have ALWAYS been dissappointed with my drinks when I come here. Can’t quite figure out why I keep coming back. Everytime I come to this Starbucks they never make my drinks correctly, I mean how hard is it to sweeten a tea?! Such a dissappointment for being one of the few drive-thru Starbucks in the area! Let’s just say that I have learned my lesson after the 10+ drink mistakes they have made, I will no longer be coming here anymore. I will gladly drive the extra miles(out of my way) to another Starbucks that can correctly make a drink!

This Starbucks never fails to amaze me as they always have a drive thru line that sometimes takes up their entire little parking lot, yet they manage to keep it moving at a record pace that may put some In & Out burgers to shame ;) I decided to actually try the inside counter service this time as I was able to nab parking(which can be an extremely rare commodity here) and was pleasantly surprised at how quick, helpful and courteous all the baristas were. Even with a hectic drive thru and all the countless orders, they all seemed to maneuver around like a tightly choreographed Broadway show. What impressed me the most was that they were able to keep the drive thru crowd moving while still maintaining excellent customer service for us folks inside. I got my drinks in a timely fashion and they were made just the way I like them. Also the inside was very clean and surprisingly spacious. I will definitely frequent this location from now on. Tip: try not to be intimated by the drive thru line, it moves quicker than you may think, just be careful for the occasional crazy drivers(some of them can be a little grumpy until they get their caffeine fix lol)

It’s a Starbucks… it’s a busy one… and they do a good job and serve their beverages to the highest standards beyond most of the other area Starbucks. Though…I will say they do often cause traffic congestion at that particular intersection as they drive-thru fills quickly and wraps around their structure and into the parking lot… and often into the busy street. Other than that… not much to add that most of you won’t already know!

Just another typical Starbucks. I came here a few times while I stayed in Seaside. It’s conveniently located next to the freeway on/off ramp. I came here around 6am each morning and the staff was super friendly and quick with service. My order and was hot and fresh each time and warmed me right up. Paying with my phone(Starbucks App) was easy as well. I love that they have a drive thru and I could whip in and out in a flash. I did drive by a couple other times throughout the weekend and the drive thru line was pouring into the street. If I’m in the area again I will definitely be back.

The drive through is no good. Every time I’ve used the drive through, something has gone wrong. — Wrong drink twice — Waited for 5 minutes at the window for the rest of the food we ordered, and some computer problems(they we swamped at the time though) — Frappuccino that’s pretty much all liquid, and a pile of caramel at the bottom The inside seems to be fine though. Not completely terrible overall, but not the typical Starbucks experience though. I’ll just stick to the one down the street I guess :)

The staff here work harder than other Starbucks I’ve been to because of the awesome drive through feature at this location! The people who have to be here at the butt crack of dawn to serve coffee to people who are too lazy to make it themselves.(Me included) :) The people at the drive through are so cheery and happy and even ask everyone how they are are doing! These guys know their coffee, know how to cheer anyone up, manage crowds and overall busy days with a positive attitude! Best of all… it’s caffeine! How can u go wrong! :) Unilocal 20⁄100 reviews!
