Munchkinland Daycare

I am so disappointed! After looking at the website, my husband and I felt that this daycare would fit our parenting style and was really hoping our son would be in a place that nurtured attachment relationships while we are at work. I spoke with Elizabeth to get more information about her daycare. Everything sounded great so we scheduled an appointment to see the daycare. Less than 2 hours later, Elizabeth called back and said that she thought about our conversation especially our practicing «attachment parenting» and wanted to let me know that «if my 18 almost 19 month old son is not sleeping in his own bed this is not going to work». I was shocked as this seems to completely contradict the website’s message of creating a loving, baby-​led environment. Needless to say we will not be following though on this daycare. Apparently Munchkinland Daycare does not agree with «attachment parenting» and has a very strong opinion on sleeping arrangements. This was the very first time that someone so blatenly disagreed with our parenting style, let alone someone who I almost trusted to care for our son.

We love Liz! You can tell she really loves her kiddos too. Our son has been here a year now and practically drags us out the door to see her. We are moving for my job or we would be staying at Muchkinland for as long as possible. We will miss Liz greatly and wish her all the best!

Our son has been going to Munchkinland for almost a year now and he LOVES going every day to see Lizzie. It is more like taking him to a well trusted and loved family member rather than child care. I know that my son and all the other kiddos there are well loved and looked after by Liz. Her rates are extremely affordable and everything from diapers to formula to food is included.
