This is a very standard small town Dairy Queen. The food is average by Dairy Queen standards. However, what sets this place apart, is the service. Everyone is very friendly and inviting, you are personally welcomed to Dairy Queen, and everything is clean and in order. If you’re on interstate 10 this place is worth a stop.

This is our very favorite DQ period. We have been stopping by here coming back from Houston to Austin for years. Nice staff, a little old, but clean. Fast food has always been good here and I usually gain a pound or so! :-)

So disappointed to find out burgers are microwaved at this Dairy Queen, awful, bun is soggy & meat is tasteless… of course. Could not believe my ears, when I asked an employee if they microwaved the food she said«no, when meat comes off grill we put it in microwave to melt the cheese»…huh? Needless to say, won’t be eating here again!

What road trip is complete with a stop at a small town Dairy Queen — check! Chicken tenders basket with country gravy — yes ma’am. Small town feel and it was a great nostalgic gastro diversion from the I-10 corridor between Houston and San Antonio. Service was friendly and quick.

Small Dairy Queen with limited parking & drive thru. We went inside. Some ordered blizzards which were great. 2 others ordered burgers & steak fingers & fries. Fries were wonderful. Everyone enjoyed the meal!

Pretty standard small town Dairy Queen. Great people watching and great ice cream treats… Delish!

What would even prompt me to review a DQ, you ask? Well, when a Texas road trip stop sign favorite disappoints you in a major way, you just gots to. Vitamin G, y’all. You’ve heard me talk about it, and probably have seen me write about it. DQ is, and always has been, one of my go-to options for soaking up the booze from the night before, especially while on the road(ugh, the worst way to be hungover). On the way back home from a Galveston bachelorette weekend, a friend and I decided to stop and grab a quick bite. Well, a bite it was. Quick, ’twas not. We opted to dine in since I didn’t want my girl to have to eat and drive. Ordering our Vitamin G was easy enough, and the steak fingers tasted as good and cholesterol violating as I remembered. Since we didn’t want our blizzards to melt, we waited to order them on our way out. My friend got her blizzard and almost finished it while we were still waiting for mine, without any acknowledgment from the staff for about 15 minutes. When does it ever take that long to make a blizzy?! When were finally on our way and flyin’ down I-10, I got ¼ way through my blizzard only to realize that my fixins were nowhere to be found past the first couple of bites. TRAVESTY. Praise Texas for having more than one DQ so I’m not forced to ever stop at this one again.
