Second class shopping experience. Not the most pleasant salesperson.

I love Home by the Seashore! I’ve bought many hoodies in different colors! Always get compliments when I were them! Everyone asks me where I bought them! I also have bought many necklaces, rings, & cookbooks there, too! The staff is very friendly & very helpful in finding just the right gift that you’re looking for! It’s my favorite store on Main St. in Seal Beach! They have a great website where you can order online, too!

Great place for shore style items. The sales women were friendly and helpful, offering ideas and options. Great variety of shore items of all types, including jewelry.
A little pricy, but who cares when everything you are looking for is in one location, which saves time and money looking elsewhere. I found just the right gifts here for the people I was buying gifts for and did not have to go anywhere else.
I will be back next year for more Christmas gifts for friends and family.

A dear friend of mine just informed me that this seal beach «gem» use to purchase my friends one-​of-​a kind art pieces from, has been re-​creating the same designs/​products my friend use to sell them! To re-​create the product that was once sold to them is now cutting out the artist, do it themselves, to make more of profit margin… how greedy can you get?

Home by the sea shore is a very nice store that have everything to decorate your home with a seashore flair, i love this store either for gift for freinds or just for my self. I was there on a Sunday and it was busy, but i must said that the sales women was very friendly and helpful. I have shopped there before and will again and bring my good friend from Redondo Beach to see this really cute store

A little piece of paradise in Seal Beach. I’ve been a customer for years. Staff have always been very helpful. If you’re looking for seashore related décor, jewelry, or bedding, this is the place. I have also had special orders which came early and were as promised. Sorry to hear others had difficulty with custom bedding and less than stellar greetings-​perhaps they are receiving bad «shopping karma» as evidenced from negative vibe reviews that contained spelling and grammar errors. Also, we all know you can purchase things online at a lower price, but you can’t stroll down Main Street, look at the ocean, and breathe in the sea air sitting at your computer. This store in not located in some inland urban mini-​mall, please consider the rent this owner must pay before you criticize their prices. Go-you’ll love it!

I absolutely LOVE this store!!! I heard people drive from far away places just to shop here, and now I know why! I got to meet the owner and she was as sweet as ever and helped me with everything I needed, along with the other store clerk. Both very friendly! I want to live in this place. If your looking for beautiful coastal home décor and want to feel as comfortable as you would in your own home then I highly recommend shopping at Home by the Seashore!

Saw the beautiful beach décor in the window and had to step in and peek. Very nice mermaid, sea shell, beachy, crab designs in anything you can think of — bedding, nic-​naks, statues, wall décor, etc.
Prices were from mid range to expensive — you can find the same things on-​line for cheaper. Which is where I may shop as the woman minding the store was very rude. There was just me and another shopper (who was on her cell).
When I walked in, I said «oh, I love your store!» and the sales woman just looked at me and never answered. I tried one more time saying «you have the neatest things» — again she never acknowledged me. She wasn’t busy, just standing behind the counter, not doing anything… I looked right at her waited a moment and walked right out the store.
Too bad as I want to remodel my new beach house and saw many things I would have liked to purchase there. I may try to walk in again another time and see if the rude, unfriendly woman was having a bad day… but it sure left a bad taste in my mouth.

Home By The Sea Shore is a store that you can walk into & feel as though you escaped the real world even for just abit. This store offers so much décor that you’ll find yourself just wanting to «move-​in» ! They have a large array of bedding and pillows. I see that Brian S. was upset that they wouldn’t make his custom toddler stuff but if they don’t make toddler stuff … well then, they don’t make it, no need to get nasty about it guy !
I asked about some pillows and wanted to see if they could make one with a surfboard and have my daughter’s name on it and they could.
It is a must stop in store when looking for a gift and if you just can’t decide on your purchase, do what I do, get a gift card from here ! My friends love getting Home By The Sea Shore gift cards from me !! The staff is always so friendly and welcoming.
By the way… found out that the store located across the street called Hudson is part of them too!
Hudson has alot of great items too, more of the natural beachy look make sure to check it out next time !

This place sucks! They make «custom bedding» if by custom you mean exactly what they have made before, etc. They had a fabric pattern we had been looking for and we wanted to toddler bedding. They don’t make toddler bedding? We can buy a crib set? We don’t want a crib set, we’re replacing a crib set, hello? You make custom bedding, I just told you I want toddler bedding, make it.
They made no attempt to figure out a way to do what we were looking for and were borderline rude in telling us know. Its no way to run a business.

This place is a seal beach gem! Great home décor and wonderful christmas gifts. Really reasonably priced too. Definitely a must=go when i’m in seal beach
