A nice little find. Had breakfast there. The French toast was nice and thick and chewy and i was pleasantly surprised to find it served with a delicious strawberry compote. The omelettes are mighty large. Can’t wait to get back there.

I love the breakfast here! Great prices, and the hash browns are delicious– although greasy– but hey it’s not called southern for nothing. I have only had dinner here three times and it was very decent but not as good as their breakfast.

As a fan of Jimmy’s Grill just up the highway, I am familiar with it’s parentage. I also know that once Jimmy stuck everyone holding the bag, closed Southern Grill to opened Jimmy’s Grill. Jimmy, now, is long gone from Jimmy’s Grill and said to be whipping up SOS inside the big house. So when I saw the name of this place I thought the parole board might have put him back in the kitchen. There is definitely a relationship though I am not sure what it is. The menu and offerings and the style of service, servers eating in the kitchen and down to the flies is a great reminder of the old Southern Grill. This place is small but the food was as awesome as Jimmy’s is now and maybe cheaper. I would love to come back and try some of the other offerings as I had eggs, scapple and fantastic hash browns.
