Worst service ever. They have lost me as a customer. Went to this store on New Years Day to purchase a painting that we had seen several days before while mattress shopping. The mattress experience was not great as we just wanted to browse and feel them out knowing that we wanted to do more research before buying. The sales person kept following us around even though we had made it clear that we were just looking. On this visit we came back to purchase a picture that we had seen on our last trip. The sales person who approached us was clearly disinterested in our business once we told him what we were there to purchase. When we showed him where the picture was up on the wall he looked at us and stated«well I don’t know how I’m going to get that down«. He then proceeded to the desk to ask someone else. We waited. He went to the back room, came back, and stated, «can you come back tomorrow when our warehouse guy is here to get it down. «At that point my husband stepped on a piece of The furniture, and got it down himself. When trying to purchase the piece at the cash register no one appeared interested in bringing us out. Finally they run the bar purchase and we left. If Bob’s is not interested in my small purchases I clearly will not be making any big purchases they are going forward. Just really bad service

This is the glitzy big new Bob’s in Seabrook. What an improvement over the smaller store this one has replaced! As with the store in Manchester, we were checking out recliners. A few more chairs to try out, but again the controls were on the right. And the ones with a wand worked fine, but I didn’t find overly comfortable. If you’re going to be in something for hours on end, seating with not enough support is going to be a waste of money. My mother-in-law was with us for this excursion. She wanted to see what furniture stores were like. She was impressed with the selections and especially the prices. She actually found a nice little armchair with ottoman for her bedroom. We will buy it for her a little later and take it up to Toronto at Christmas. We didn’t work with a sales rep at this store, though there was a nice young man who checked in on us a couple of times. Did some hovering, but generally kept a respectful distance. Apparently he’s new to the sales force, having worked his way up from doing deliveries. Nice to see the company has opportunities for people to move up through the ranks.

I went in to find a new living room set. After finding what we wanted, the sales man(Matt) didn’t give up on selling us the Goof Proof Plus protection plan. I never purchase extra coverage, as the warranty should stand on it’s own. After constant persuasion, I decided to buy the extra coverage. Just 1 year, 1 week later, I have some«accidental damage» that is supposedly covered in their paperwork and contract. I was on the phone for over 30 minutes only to be told that the rips in my couch would only be covered if «the stuffing was showing through the cushion» but the rips, alone, would not be. WHAT??? Are you kidding?! I am so upset, I read the Goof Proof plan completely before and after purchasing it and felt good that an accident like a rip would be covered. Never again!

BUYERSSTAYAWAYFROMBOB’S DISCOUNTFURNITURE! You could very well endure the same pain and MANY problems as we have with our purchases at Bob’s Discount Furniture. I can’t fault the sales man for the lousy delivery service, or the fact that both deliveries within a month had damaged furniture. We did have a pleasant experience with our sales person Stephen Saboo who was knowledgeable and patient. Our first visit, we spent over 2.5 hours in the store. Picked out a new king bed with foundation, bed frame, recliner love seat, two lamps, two end tables for just above $ 5000. Delivery fee was an additional $ 229.99. On day of delivery, 6÷30÷2015(about 3 weeks later), we were introduced to two very rude and horrible guys who damaged our home while bringing furniture into the home. The only door frame that had to walk through was damaged on the inside and outside. There is no way of repairing the inner frame of a door without removing it. The delivery staff contacted me for photos of what was damaged. I sent them and they have not responded to the claim, now nearly 30 days old. Back to the first delivery. One of the guys came in and said they weren’t responsible for remove old bedding. The same guy gave us a real hard time and said he would call the office to cancel shipping because we didn’t have our king mattress and box spring moved out. Huh? Are you joking? Do you expect elderly people or people with disabilities to move the old out for the new? That statement made no sense. I said«feel free to cancel. You will be taking everything back with you.» Then we had to remove all the bedding so he could do his job. Stupid. They delivered a love seat that is damaged. Also one of the end tables is damaged. They did not have both lamps and the one they delivered is damaged. I haven’t begun to inspect the new bed. Second delivery after spending yet another 2 hours in the store a couple days after first delivery, they delivered a couch damaged and forgot the matching foundation for the new mattress we swapped with the original because it didn’t fit the room. At this point, I don’t recommend Bobs because of the delivery guys poor attitude. It’s the day of delivery, the day you are excited for all the new product to arrive. The last thing you expect is a poor attitude from the delivery guys and damaged furniture.
