Half price apps at the bar. Half assed apps at the bar. Watery mussels. Watery beer. Should’ve stayed home and ate pizza and pussy.

I was very disappointed the lobster was chewy the penna was ice cold and there was so much water on the plate I think they where swimming. And don’t get me started on all the flys. We have eaten there before and the food was good. But it is going down hill.

Came here for dinner the other weekend. They seem to have an issue with service. Our waitress initially came over and took our drink orders. We waited another 15 minutes when it wasn’t even very busy. Then, a different waitress came over and asked if we wanted to order drinks lol. However, our second waitress did do a good job. We were there early enough to do the early dinner special, which is actually a good deal. Salad, entrée and dessert for 15.99, so we all did that. I thought the salad was ehh but not terrible. For my entrée, I got the pasta and clams in garlic sauce, which I really enjoyed. Other people’s opinions on their entrees were more mixed but I liked mine. Everyone got the cheesecake for dessert which was delicious. Now, aside from the early bird special, everything else on the regular menu seemed pretty overpriced. I would probably still try it again, but as of right now I would prefer Carmen’s or Mike’s for seafood in Sea Isle.

I feel bad writing this review because the staff was so kind and accommodating, but the food was awful. Our appetizers were nachos with wiz cheese and Mac and cheese from a box and not the good kind. Our meals(which were salads) were drenched in salad dressing so much so that our party of 4 could not eat them. Seafood was so bland. Way over priced for the food we received.

If you call yourself the Lobster Loft, you should know how to cook a lobster tail. Chewy and unappetizing. Rolls were awful. Not worth the $ 110 ticket for 2 people.

My mom wanted to come here for their dinner special. We sat outside and enjoyed our meal. It’s nothing special, but for the price, 2 for $ 29.99, it wasn’t awful either. The bar tender was also our server and she was friendly, but she didn’t really know the menu well. Overall, it was good.

When I came here, I went all out and went with the seafood combo — flounder, scallops, shrimp, and half a lobster stuffed with crab meat. Sounds like a lot, but it was really a small piece of flounder, a couple scallops and shrimp, and not a whole of meat in the lobster. It was good, but considering the price, I could have gotten a lot more at Mike’s which you can see across the dock. In addition to half priced appetizers, Lobster Loft also 2 for 1 dinner options Tuesday-Thursday, which isn’t a bad deal, and if you’re looking for a proper downsit/order a drink kinda restaurant than I’d recommend coming here over the other seafood joints in Sea Isle which are a bit more casual.

I don’t know how this place besides its liquor license stays in business. Every year I always give it a try to see if it has changed or improved. Unfortunately no. It is the same overpriced under seasoned food year in year out. There are better places to spend your money here in SIC.

This was my first time at the Lobster Loft and I would return. I had the seafood scampi and my order was delicious! The sea scallops in the dish were made perfectly. The view was nice as well sitting but we did not quite get to enjoy it as much as I would have liked because we were seated in a large table in the middle. I would like to come back maybe with a smaller party and enjoy the view in a seat by the window. I would say the only thing I was not crazy about was the rolls, they reminded me of a hot dog roll but I read on the menu it was a local Atlantic city roll so I can let it slide. Overall I would return. The servers were friendly as well as the rest of the staff :)

3 star restaurant but four star experiences. It’s called Lobster Loft. Get the lobster and not the pasta or filet. I cannot judge the pasta or filet but overall had five lobsters and one order snow crabs over three visits. All perfect. Waitress was awesome too. Specially appetizers were a little weak; hence calling it a 3 star restaurant, but it’s a four star lobster house.

Crab nachos weren’t so great. Entrees were good, large portions. One of our party wasn’t happy but the rest of us were satisfied. Service was good.

I try to focus on the positive, a lesson my wife has taught me. Half price apps are a good idea, they would be a better idea if the chef tasted them once in a while to tighten up the consistency a bit. The bisque often tastes like a loaf of bread which means they cut some corners on making a rue to stretch and thicken it. Sometimes it tastes like they just throw some flour strait into the pot. If you are in the mood for a beer, in a bottle, it is worth the stop. I am not big on mixed drinks, so I have no informed opinion about their abilities in this arena. I have never had a single bad experience with service, just most times with the overall taste of the food. I try not to eat there unless I am heavily drinking or sharing some apps with friends who are vacationing for the week. No disrespect intended, this is just a funny observation about the night life there at the Loft. Some of my friends commented that they look forward to spending their golden years in the Loft because at night a 60 year old man is a god. It’s like how in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king. For those approaching retirement or well into that part of your life, this is a meat market when the sun goes down. You can thank me later. All kidding aside, the Loft is not bad, but it could be better. I know they are trying to fix many of their issues, but it takes times. Every 5 or 6 times I roll through there I have a good bar food experience, but never great. The music is also usually good, but the songs are older(classic), which is still cool as it matches the taste of the clientele. Look, I can have fun anywhere in Sea Isle, with good friends and close family. On a pub crawl the Loft should definitely be on the list. Maybe a starting and ending point as there is ample parking not far away.

This is really a zero star review. Ill give our waitress a one star, since its not her fault the food took so long, and was disgusting to boot. I went to dinner with my sister, her husband, his mother, and my baby niece. None of us liked our meals. It either was bland, or too buttery, or too salty. Do not go here and waste your money. The front lady who seated us wasnt exactly a gem either, and neither is this establishment!

So overpriced and the food was not impressive at all… mussels marinara had overcooked and watery pasta with it and my salmon was flavorless… the lobster bisque that the server raved about(and that cost extra) was a bowl of pink blob that had none of the creamy flavor or the lobster taste that I look for in a bisque. Needless to say my boyfriend and I will never go here again and for a place that demands over $ 20 an entrée I expected more.

This is one of the best unknown bars in Sea Isle. We started going here after getting tired of overcrowded bars like the OD and LaCosta. It is a more chill bar and the crowd is usually a lot older but still fun. There are live cover bands on the weekends and they have a small dance floor downstairs. Also a good bar for watching sports games. They also have a great happy hour, half priced appetizers. I have tried most of the items and haven’t had anything that I didn’t like. The wings are amazing here and all the different sauces are good. They are big and meaty and probably the most filling out of the appetizer menu. The mussels and stuffed mushrooms are also very good, but come in smaller portions. Even with the smaller portions, you get great value during happy hour, a lot better than Mike’s Seafood next door. I haven’t tried the dinner menu here yet but everything that I’ve seen come out looks good.

When I entered the dining room it felt like a bad episode of Restaurant: Impossible. It is old and gaudy nautical theme with rope wrapped around steal beams. Our waitress was inattentive. When she finally showed up at our table she recommended a key lime martini. I ordered it and took a sip. Terrible! All the food was delivered cold and tasteless. The waitress never checked in our table. I finally asked for the overpriced check and after she ran my credit card the waitress noticed I never drank the martini she recommended. She apologized and said it was too late to take it off the bill. I went outside to retrieve my car from the valet. He handed me my keys and said there it is I will never return there as the only thing lofty is their prices

Wooaaaah, it doesn’t get any worse than lobster loft. Lobster loft sells you on it’s location, or you sell it by not going there. For starters, the food here has no taste. I tried the surf and turf that was awful. The lobster was like water, no texture, flavor, anything. Steak was worse, and wasn’t prepared correctly. It did remind me of the old ground round from the 1980’s or ponderosa, and I am not trying to be funny, but this is how I remember cheap steak to be. Prices here are astronomical. For 2 people it was well over $ 100.00

I will first start off by saying if I could give this restaurant negitive stars I would happily do so. My party of 4 wanted to go somewhere we had not gone in awhile. Remembering the flag on the airplane flying over the beach all day we decided to go here for dinner. Two of the people in my party ordered off the 2 meals for 29.95 menu. I understand that when offered a special some portions may be scaled down some, however the shrimp scampi had 4 shrimp and about 10 strands of spaghetti. The chicken parm was the size of your computer mouse along with foul tasting string beans and 3 runt baby potatoes. My dinner which was off the regular menu was clams(which came with a decent amount) and 15 strands of spaghetti. The last time I checked spaghetti was one of the cheapest things to make. After asking for a manager to discuss our disapointment with the meal we were told he is doing something he will be with us. After 15 minutes a bartender with a cocky attitude showed up at our table. He told us that they have to make a profit within the summer months and the specials come with«less food». That is understandable but my 9 year old would not have been satisfied after eating this«so called meal». He then proceeded to state that he would offer us a round of drinks but«I can see you are not drinking». The last time I checked I was capable of accepting or turning down my own drink. We could have decided to go anywhere but unfortunately we choose the Lobster Loft. We should have thrown our $ 85.00 in the bay and ate sandwiches for dinner. They would have satisfied us much more then this AWFUL establishment. I love Sea Isle and I am a home owner. I like to giveback to small business in our shore community but I will NEVER think about going here again!

After hanging out at the beach for several hours, the urge for happy hour kicked in and our group of four headed to the Lobster Loft. There were no drink specials, but appetizers were all half off. As it turned out, the drinks were so modestly priced that it didn’t matter that they weren’t reduced. We ordered several appetizers to share. The clams casino were good but the portion was small. The steamers were very tiny and not as delish as the ones I had at the Loft last summer. The calamari was too thin and resembled fried rubber. The best appetizer we had was the chicken fingers and fries basket, which is not a good thing for a restaurant specializing in seafood. We were all a little disappointed and everyone agreed that what we ordered would not be worth paying full price for. Still, our service was great and everything was so inexpensive when compared with the other options in town. I will definitely return and give some of the other menu items a chance.
