A catch up review as we have eaten here a few times and the bottom line is OK but nothing to write home about. Over priced for sure for the quality of food and service and unfortunately for them they a trending down in their reviews over the past year. I will say they have one of the best coffees bar none and great fresh squeezed OJ, but alas that is not enough to rescue them from a reputation that is now bordering on mediocre.

Delicious, delicious food. I was thoroughly impressed with the service too. Joanne was our waitress, she was superb and a delight to have serve us. I had the lobster eggs benedict and it was easily one of the most delicious eggs benedict dishes I’ve ever had. The eggs were poached to perfection, a feat that is harder achieved than one would think. Everything else was incredibly fresh and tasty. I usually find myself reaching for salt and pepper to season my dish in most circumstances — but my boyfriend and I could NOT get over how delicious everything truly was. This place is a MUST. Will return ASAP.

Turning point is one of my favorite breakfast places but the this location completely turned me off of them. I went there today and the waitress took about 5 minutes to come and introduce herself, we ordered coffee and meals all at once. My boyfriends coffee came out right away and she said mine would be out in a minute. 5 min later our meals come, still no coffee for me. Half way through our breakfast our waitress finally checks on us to see how we are doing. I kindly told her to cancel my coffee having been almost done eating. She rudely said«the barista is backed up I can’t make it myself» with such a dirty look on her face and didn’t try to apologize once. If she came over to me earlier saying it was going to take a while I would have been fine with it but she didn’t try to accommodate me in anyway. Will not be returning to this location.

Let me start off by saying I’m a big fan of turning point. With that being said I need to tell you I am not a fan of this particular turning point. The waitresses are not that friendly here and the service is a little slower. The food does taste the same but I would rather go to Brick and get better service and be greeted by a friendly server any day of the week.

I love Turning Point. I usual go to the location in Manalapan or Point Pleasant. This was my first visit to this location and what a difference! Terrible service(actually no service). Had three different people waiting on us and no one communicated with the other. Had to go up to the bar and ask for coffee after being seated for 10 minutes. Same thing with the bill. Just had to go up and pay since no one seemed to want to pick up the check. Coffee was watery and luke warm. Just an awful, awful experience.

Waited almost an hour on a Wednesday afternoon for 2 tuna melts and a cup of chili! The food was decent, but waiting that long just ruined it. Another table next to us actually had to cancel their order because it was taking so long. Its a great place, just hope they get their ticket times in order.

What a great find today in Sea Girt for breakfast and lunch. I can see why the place gets so crowded. Seeing how crowded it was, we sat at the counter as we didn’t want to wait. The lemon blueberry pancakes were delicious and the portion was HUGE. My husband had the basic omelet and said the eggs were light and fluffy and well prepared. I couldn’t stop eating my pancakes, had to remind myself I was hitting the beach soon. Everything was very fresh. They have a great beverage menu with lots of tea options. We watched them prepare smoothies and every one of them looked so good. I also noticed the ice cubes for coffee were made with coffee, how great is that. They also serve french press coffee. The prices are very reasonable. The service was excellent, everyone is so warm, friendly and attentive. We enjoyed breakfast so much that we went back the same day for lunch after spending some time at the beach. We had the chicken salad and the Power salad with chicken, again the portions were huge and all the ingredients were very fresh. The salad dressings were yummy. We will definitely be going back to Turning Point.

Have had breakfast there 5 times. Very good service and atmosphere. The food is awful. They need cooks that can make pancakes and French toast. Room temperature juice and water doesn’t help the food situation. Should have learned my lesson after 2 – 3 times, but like to support local businesses. Have had enough of this one however.

Turning Point has become an extremely reliable NJ chain for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Has traditional breakfast dishes like eggs, pancakes, and waffles, but also an exceptional selection of egg skillet dishes, which mixes several ingredients together in one delicious skillet. Most dishes come with an English muffin and a fruit cup. The coffee is very good. Make some time for it on the weekend, but it is well worth the wait.

A beautiful & casual place for breakfast, brunch or lunch! We sat by the open windows in the front and our server was Zoey. She was friendly and accommodating. The menu is very nice with lots of meals from decadent french toast to healthy & fit dishes. I enjoyed the two egg breakfast with turkey sausage and fresh fruit on the side. Coffee was so tasty and we loved having a full pitcher on the table(like IHOP except at Turning Point it’s actually filled up). I have moved out of state recently, however when I come home to the Jersey Shore to visit, I would absolutely love to come back!

We went with my in-laws on Father’s Day, a day I was sure was going to be impossible get in. Nope! We arrived around 11:30 and waited maybe 10 mins. The place is pretty big so plenty of space. And so bright and airy! Great feeling to the space. Half of us went with breakfast and the other half went lunch. Jeff and I each got the quinoa bowl. It was good but I thought it tasted a little toooo healthy. Jeff was a satisfied quinoa customer. The side salad was large and the citrus vinaigrette was perfect. My MIL got eggs, ham, and potatoes. I stole a potato chunk and it was excellent. A little crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. FIL got the eggs Benedict. He cleaned the plate in about 5 minutes so it must have been good. The highlight for me was seeing a whole section on the menu devoted to iced teas! There were even 2 more on special! I tried both the specials — the peach black tea and the apple cucumber green tea. The peach black was excellent. The green one was a bit weak, tasted mostly like cucumber water. Still great, though! I would definitely come back again.

At noon today I came to this Turning Point in Sea Girt. I was told a 10 to 15 minute wait for 2 people. 20 minutes and still waiting. Tables not busted all around. Hostess spending too much time on phone. Then she seated to young ladies that came in way after me. So we left. Will never come back.

The restaurant is open for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. It’s isn’t your typical diner looking breakfast place. The décor is very nice inside and they have a huge accordion window that opens the front of the restaurant the outside. After waiting nearly an hour for our table, we were told 30 minutes, I was hungry and ready to order. I was excited that we got a table by the open window! I ordered the grande huevos rancheros. It was definitely grande and delicioso! The tortilla was unnecessary and I wasn’t a huge fan of the sausage, but I would order it again!

Mother’s Day was our first trip to the Turning Point and it didn’t disappoint. Great, efficient staff and everyone was so nice. My daughter likes simple food and enjoyed the waffle and milk and I had a classic skillet breakfast and loved the potatoes and cheese. I can’t wait to go back again.

This is our second time visiting the Turning Point. We’ve visited their location in Brick before. We ordered the salted camel waffles. It came with crumbled bacon, pecans, vanilla mascarpone and brown sugar. The waffles were very rich with flavor and the actual waffles were cooked to my liking. The only downfall was there was too much salt. Pretty much overpowered the sweetness of the Carmel and brown sugar. We also got the lobster nachos which was also good. Had nice chunks of lobsters and the chips were nice and crispy. however it was prob too early to order nachos(noon time)… this was a bad move on our part The prices were okay, except for the $ 9.00 press of kona coffee. I think its a little outrageous… but oh well.

Turning Point is actually awesome! It is a more upscale breakfast/brunch/lunch place. They have fresh squeezed OJ(my fav). I always get the Wilbur skillet with over easy eggs and it is amazing. The turkey chili is also really good as well. The food here is very fresh and always tastes great. The service here is amazing, everyone is always so friendly. When you walk in you feel like you are on vacation in the nice breakfast place in your hotel. Love it here! I have used this location as well as the Brick location and I always get the same experience at each.

Turning Point is a beautiful restaurant located near multiple shopping plazas in Sea Girt. It has an upscale, beach theme and a wonderful menu that provides an array of healthy breakfast and lunch options. I ordered the Grande Huevos Rancheros. It was a huge dish loaded with scrambled eggs, chorizo, onions, beans, avocado, green pepper, tomato, and cheese over a baked tortilla and it was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the half chicken salad sandwich with a cup of corn chowder soup. He liked them both but was not impressed with the size of the sandwich especially for $ 10.95. Two manly size bites and it was gone. Definitely order a full size. Although we were extremely impressed by the quality and quantity of the food, we were not at all impressed with the service and it is for that reason alone that I think I would rather go to a diner over this place. Yes, the food was amazing… but be prepared to wait at least an hour for it. And that was on a slow day! No one was even in there. Our waitress was horrible. Took forever to bring our drinks and we did not get any refills and she stopped by once to see how the food was. Another lady who worked at the front cashier’s desk and im assuming was the manager by her attire and demeanor, was extremely rude and gave me attitude when I asked her to split the check. You would think this was a simple task, but it also took her forever to do. In summary: Good food… many healthy options… expensive for a breakfast/lunch place… god awful, slow service.

A few things with this place. If you’re from or visit the area and you understand how the shore works, you already know you’re going to wait for a meal on a weekend at any breakfast or brunch spot. We had a large group — 8 people total. We waited outside for close to 2 hours to eat. There are a few factors that can help this incredibly painful experience. One is calling ahead to let them know the time you’ll be there. They do not have the space or tables to accommodate more than 2 or 3 large parties at once. Two is hiring bus people that hustle instead of chit chatting around dirty tables while I can see you and I’m about to eat my hand. Similar comment for the haphazard host desk — I guess I don’t understand what happened to kids these days and particularly at the Jersey shore. When did they stop caring about work? Brunch is the most important meal of the day. We were grateful to finally be seated, with a great server and good food. Fortunately for them I will not return. They did address our complaints, see photo.
