Ice cream tastes old. I got hot fudge and it didn’t taste fresh at All. I would not go back to this place, plenty of better ice cream spots.

Mediocre ice cream at best. We had a few flavors… The peanut butter twirl had about 4 specks of peanut butter in okay vanilla ice cream. The milk and cookies had maybe a few little pieces of cookie. The cappuccino chunk tasted more like graham cracker cinnamon. The mint Oreo had good flavor but a VERY tacky consistency. And the banana had decent flavor but nothing special. The servers were very friendly and the place has a very nice family friendly feel. The sprinkle dispenser is a lot of fun for kids, but it is not free a some posts say. Lots of benches outside to sit and enjoy. May not be the best ice cream, but it’s still ice cream!

Love this place. My room mate and I would go at least 2x a week during the summer months. We would always get a cone to eat there and a small cup«to go». I’ve tried the strawberry, coffee, pumpkin… and the cookie dough. All amazing and you can tell that it’s homemade. Looking forward to them reopening for the season!

After spending a long period of time in San Francisco and eating ice cream from Bi Rite and Humphrey Slocombe, the store bought ice cream wasn’t cutting it for me. So off my family I went to Gracie & the Dudes on a Friday night in August. For those who don’t know, they make their own ice cream and it knocks the socks off of the other local places that make their own(looking at you Hoffman’s). The ice cream is dense and filling(I’d get a small). The texture was good, but not as good as either Bi Rite or Humphrey Slocombe. At the suggestion of the girl at the counter, I had the cappuccino, which she said was popular. She didn’t steer me wrong as the ice cream had great flavor. My wife and son both enjoyed their birthday cake ice cream. The sprinkle station was a nice touch that my son really enjoyed. Where they did have the two ice cream institutions beat was on the cone. The waffle cone was outrageous. The staff was extremely nice although it wasn’t that busy when we arrived. I would have given this place five stars if they ventured out beyond the standard ice cream shop flavors and had some experimental special flavors(please make a copy of Secret Breakfast). But given I was spoiled by my time in SF, Gracie and the Dudes is my new local go to spot.

Good ice cream I got some cookies and cream and my nephew got some cookie dough and it was all very good however there were no people there which is a shame because it was really good. and it does have a weird name… Gracie and the Dudes… but it was good.

Gracie and the dudes is great for a quick ice cream fix. Ice cream is good… Not great. I have yet to have a good cone here. … My one tonight was a bit moist. Giant sprinkle station is something that kids see from street and can’t wait to go in and use… However, it can only be used in a cup and then you pour the sprinkles over your icecream… That is zero fun!!! Should be something fun for kids. Workers are never super friendly. I will return here simply because of convenience…

Last night I went to Gracie and the Dudes with my mom to celebrate the start of the weekend. I hadn’t been to Gracie’s since moving for college five years ago, however I remembered loving their rich, creamy cake batter ice cream. I also had a great experience with the owner, who let me sample as many flavors as I liked. The ice cream was just as good as I remembered and tastes like real vanilla cake batter. I was pleasantly surprised by the large portion size(I ordered a small that was 2 huge scoops). The staff was super friendly and the shop radiates the feel of a family business, with photos of the owners’ children on the wall. A huge selling point for me is also that they use natural ingredients and manufacture the ice cream on site. If you’re going to indulge in ice cream, this is the way to go!

What a great spot for an ice cream place, it’s right next to a burger place, across is the beach, what else can you ask for? You have a variety of flavors at reasonable prices. FREESPRINKLES, most places charge for sprinkles and here you can put as much sprinkles as you like because the machine is right by the entrance.

Great spot in Sea Bright for a ice cream shop which is situated right next to a burger joint. Always a good combination. Right along ocean ave. and amongst a scarce part of the route where you don’t find too many eateries it’s in the right spot for quick eats across from the beach. Lot’s of flavors of ice cream as well as soft serve. Chocolate, vanilla, or twist. I went with the twist with a waffle cone for $ 4 and the store offers free sprinkles by the entrance. Choice of rainbow, chocolate, which is a nice touch. Also has a variety of milkshakes which our group enjoyed as well. Great spot for people watching as there are plenty of benches outside.

This will be my local ice cream shop now that I moved to Sea Bright. Gracie’s is very good, it is definitely better than most ice cream places, but definitely not the best in my opinion, Ryans in Shrewsbury is still my hands down favorite. However, Gracie has a lot of interesting flavors and prices are very reasonable. I will be returning often since its just a few blocks away. If you are visiting Sea Bright Beach, this is definitely the place to go for a treat.

I was down in Sea Bright over the July 4th weekend which I have been to many times and is my favorite Jersey shore town. I’d say I know most of the shops in town fairly well, but I had never been to or really noticed Gracie and the Dudes. So after a day of drinking, eating, and laying on the beach we decided our next move would be to get ice cream and we were advised to go here. I think the name alone sold me, but when I heard they made there own ice cream I was as good as there. When we arrived the line was almost out the door, but this was hardly a surprise since it was July 4th and the fireworks were about to go off. After waiting in line for about 15 minutes it was my turn to order and I went with the chocolate chocolate chip in a medium cup. This was hardly an easy decision because of the many other flavors that caught my eye such as strawberry cheesecake, amaretto biscotti, mint oreo, and cinnamon oatmeal cookie. The medium cup was about $ 4 which is pretty reasonable. Ice cream was very good and loaded with flavor. I’m not sure I would agree with some of the other reviews on here that say its the best ice cream I ever had, but it is definitely better then most of the other options out there and much, much better then the chains. Seating is almost non existent inside, but there are benches outside where you can enjoy your ice cream. They also offer all the other usuals like ice cream cake, sorbet, soft serve, and ice cream sandwiches. Check it out if your in the area, its worth it.

Gracie and The Dudes is simply glorious. I am pretty picky when it comes to ice cream, but my only problem here is deciding what flavor to get. Perfect before, during and after the beach, Gracie’s has top notch quality and pretty decent prices given what you’re paying for. I prefer to skip on the toppings, as the flavors are… well…flavorful. However, milkshakes and other ice cream creations abound on their awesome menu, and the staff is fantastic about letting you sample as many as you want before making that excruciating choice. Cones, cups, one scoop or many, it doesn’t matter. Just get over here and have some awesome ice cream! PS — is it summer again yet?

I simply do not want Ice cream from anywhere else. I have probably gained several pounds living in such close proximity to it. Texture and flavor are always perfect. The owner is passionate about his craft, and it shows. Their espresso ice cream is more addictive than crack. If you are anywhere near the North Jersey shore, do yourself a flavor and stop in Sea Bright for a cone.
