Allows smoking inside. Not good for your health. Not impressed with the crowd. DJs okay music.

I visited there after the Steamtown Marathon on a Sunday afternoon. This place needs a «Bar Rescue». Service was bad, food took forever(and it was not crowded), they got the order wrong, the waitress disappeared and never returned, other waitress seemed clueless, the bar is dark and gloomy, bathrooms are filthy, bartender was absentee, table next to me waited 10 minutes for a server to come(we made friends joking about the terrible service) and so on… So much potential in a busy area… and they fail miserably. Some positive — people I was with enjoyed their food, when it finally showed up.

I would avoid this place at all costs. I have banned it. One b! tch bartender, who also used to work at Whistle’s, has a nasty habit of stealing money(and not just the $ 1 of a $ 5 for a $ 4 which I hate, too. At least twice she lied straight to my face that I only paid with a $ 10 and I damn well know I had a $ 20. Who even has $ 10 bills? She’s a lying thief. Also, for whatever reason, I order Peach Schnapps on the rocks on the main floor(not with the thief bartender). It’s $ 5. 10 minutes later I go downstairs and the same drink is $ 7. WTF? RIPOFFPRICING, different levels, different bartenders ringing up drinks wrong to rip people off. So I am angry forever at this place. And this happened several times. This was not just one night. This is a systemic, intentional way to rip off who they think are unsuspecting«drunk» customers who don’t care— but they/WE DO!!! WHENYOUPUSHTOOFAR, WEPUSHBACKANDYOURBADBUSINESSPRACTICES start to be known. You now have a bad business reputation. It’s a waste not to use the Galaxy/top floor/club floor/upstairs, either. Their loss. This place was better as Tinks. 100 fold.

I have to admit, changing the name and making the bar a bit more lax really changed the place. I’m impressed. There’s no longer a stage for bands, which is a shame. There’s still the main floor with the balcony and the basement bars. I was kinda surprised at the temperature going up and down. We mainly stayed on the first flop because it was much cooler. I’m not from Scranton, but I’d come back.

Pretty decent bar if you’re looking for a younger crowd. Much better than the Hardware Bar, cleaner and a better crowd. As another reviewer stated, very smoky inside, so if it bothers you, go elsewhere. Drinks are still cheap and great specials. Definitely one of the busier places to go on a weekend.

This is the new place to be. It is nothing like the old hardware bar, there is a huge variation in the crowd. Age ranges from 21 – 35, the music is the same shit every weekend but what place isn’t? The cheap drink specials destroyed every other bar downtowns chances of competing. Smoking bar, get over it or go sit in a boring restaurant bar.

It’s pretty much the old hardware bar but much better now. It used to be a terrible place but now for some reason, it’s the place to be. Still don’t like the cloud of smoke it generates from the smokers but it’s not straight up skanky like hardware turned into
