Crystal Lake Campground

Dirty, disgusting campground! Horrible, dirty bathrooms and showers that truly don’t look like they have been cleaned all season. Water is disgusting and yellow and smells horribly in the campground bathrooms and showers as well as the water supplied to the campsites. On top of just that, the staff is incredibly rude and unaccommodating. Upon check in the couple in front of us were involved in a situation where when they booked they were promised they would be placed with their group. When they got there, they were placed no where near there group they were told «to take (this other) site or leave. I thought to myself then «just leave» but unfortunately we did not. We were put on a site NO WHERE NEAR BIG ENOUGH FOR OUR TRAILER. We barely fit and could not extend our slides. There was a nice, big site next to ours that we asked if we could move to and was told absolutely not. (Keep in mind there is a big sign in the office that says they do not guarantee campsites so it’s not like the site was guaranteed to other campers) After MUCH arguing, begging and pleading we were finally moved. (At this point I had called every campground in the area but it was Labor Day weekend and there wasn’t a site to be had in miles) I told them upon booking the size of trailer and number of slides we had and was told «no problem». I guess now I know why that at the last minute on a holiday weekend in Ludington they still had sites. We finally got a site at another area campground that we know and love on Sunday, took the nights loss here and left! VERY DISAPPOINTED and NEVER RETURNING there EVER again! Beware!
