Most discourteous gym I’ve ever belonged to. J supplies towels and no one wipes down equipment when finished working out. Employees are useless. Walking the wrong way on the track and blocking the track with balls and equipment on it.
Pool hasn’t been operational for around a year.
Old and antiquated.
Overpriced!

My family and I came in for a trial workout. Upon arriving we pushed the buzzer and the unfriendly guy at the «welcome» desk yells, push the door open! Nice first impression! The weights are pretty outdated. For the monthly rate they’re asking for, you would think the equipment would be better. In addition to the monthly fees, you have to pay an additional amount for the Kids Club. That is ridiculous! It should be included. The kids club area and staff is wonderful. The girls were great with the kids and the playground area outside is a bonus.

We used to love this place, but the fact that their outdoor huge swimming pool has been out of commission for almost a year speaks to poor management. I loved to swim laps in this salt water pool. I’ve been patient, but thought it very poor PR that nobody gives you a straight answer when you ask about it. Now, the end of August, 2015, when I asked, I was told, «They haven’t even started construction.» Inexcusable, poor management.

I’ll start by letting you know that I am not Jewish. So if you were nervous about not being Jewish and joining a JCC, you shouldn’t be!
The facility is beyond nice. All of their equipment is brand new, state-​of-​the-​art stuff. All of their cardio equipment have built-​in televisions on each machine that you can plug into while you’re getting your sweat on, and the gym/​weight area has literally everything you would ever be able to use during a workout! They have free weights, machines, benches, TRX bands, medicine balls, kettle bells, box jumps, jump ropes, resistance bands, bosu balls, smith machines, ropes, insert other gym equipment here.
Let’s talk about the rest of the facility: they have 2 full-​size indoor basketball courts, one salt water pool for laps, and another salt pool for playing in (being redone right now). The locker rooms each have a jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room. AND damp towels chilled to 46 degrees to refresh yourself after a hard workout.
They also have a ton of classes, but I’ve only tried yoga so far. You can probably guess that I was a fan…
The people are nice, the facility is HUGE and beautiful and it’s honestly the nicest gym I’ve ever belonged to. Not to mention it’s only $ 79/​mo with no contract. Bye, Felicia.

My son plays basketball in the JCC league and also come here sometimes for his practice.
Nice basketball courts, but wish there was better viewing for when you are sitting down.
There is not a lot of sitting space and sometimes it is crowded.
It also is always really cold in that area.

UPDATE:
The JCC had an episode where 4 adults started feeling sick and the firemen and police were called, but they couldn’t find anything. Creepy!!! I think it was a gas leak. That wouldn’t happen at the Village. :)

Fantastic workout facility! State of the art cardio equipment and Outstanding classes! My personal faves are yoga with Sherry, Marjorie, or Therese– they are all great instructors. I also love treading and TRX class. Everyone is very nice and friendly. I would recommend the jcc for anyone no matter your age, there are activities and workouts for every fitness level. Go and check it out!

We go as a family. I use the gym a few times a week — always clean, always organized, and the staff is great.
My kid goes to daycare — LOVE the staff! Yes, the days off due to Jewish holidays and American holidays are sometimes too much, but it’s worth it. I feel safe with my kids there. I see the joy and progress in the development.

ZERO STARS because sometimes they don’t open when they say they are going to open leaving a line of cars outside their gates in the wee morning hours wondering if they should go home or continue to wait.
ZERO STARS for trying to cancel a gym membership which I’ve been trying to do for over 4 months.
July — After several attempts I was able to speak over the phone to Cynthia who apparently is almost never in her office during normal business hours. I told her I wished to cancel my membership. She let me know that I needed to give notification 30 days in advance and since it was a few days past the beginning of my billing cycle I would have to pay for next month’s dues as well. I wasn’t happy with it, but what could I do? I agreed and she agreed to cancel my membership.
August — my final (I thought) payment was drafted from my bank account as expected.
September — again I was charged so I called again to «membership services» and spoke to Eric who also is more difficult to get a hold of than the President. He apologized and said that this time I would have to send him an email stating that I wished to cancel (which I did right after our phone call), but I again would be charged the next month’s dues because of their 30-​day cancellation notification rule.
October — I was charged again of course.
They have taken me for over $ 200 at this point (3 months of dues) and I feel more coming. It isn’t really about the money because I hope they are doing something worthwhile with it. My issue is that they make canceling a membership a complete clusterfuk and constantly piss off members who would otherwise be donors.
Update: I just spoke with Cynthia in membership services. Of course she has no record of me calling and trying to cancel and was very unconcerned with the fact that I was charged an extra 3 times because she and Eric can’t get their acts together. However, she assured me that my membership is now cancelled and I won’t be charged again. Yeah lets see about that. I’ll update next month with what happens.

They keep trying to be a top notch gym but they just cut too many corners to ever get there. The pool is really nice but it is salt water Blech! The customer service needs improvement. Very few classes and most have an extra charge. I dunno but I would rather pay a little more and get the experience and quality I deserve at Village! Do they do anything else here? Yeah kids are running around all summer making it crazy crowded and there is no warmth to this place with or without kinder land. Many better wats to spend your money in town!!!

I want to thank all my yoga instructors! Each has given me a different way of envisioning my body, mind and spirit as one audacious being. Therese, you are amazing, Marjorie, you push me to further heights of ecstasy. Sue, the Zumba and stretching are fun! Denise, slow and sweet, I hit the pinnacle in your class. I meet the nicest people at the J. Sarah teaches me Hebrew! I come home relaxed, mindful, and grateful. I’m totally ready to enjoy the rest of the day.

They need to update their Unilocal page. The map location and the gym hours are incorrect.
Anyway, I love this JCC. They have plenty of options out to cater to each gym member’s preference. I use the elliptical and the machines for 1.5 hours every other day. The locker room is very nice because it’s got a break room in the middle and a whirlpool and steam room inside. Excellent facility.

OK, I’m not Jewish and made it known. Called for information, and what wonderful warm welcoming feelings they give you. If I move to this side of town… here I come JCC! This has to be de place!

I love the preschool! Every teacher my child has had has been outstanding. Not only are the teachers loving and nurturing, but they are also highly trained early childhood educators. I am always greeted with a smile and so are my children. My Kindergartner was so ready for school So happy with my experience at the J!

I, too, am a non-​Jewish person but go here. There’s really no need to be Jewish to enjoy this fine place. If nothing else, I would recommend checking it out just to get a better understanding of Jewish culture which is rich and varied. I always feel very welcome and frankly, you know the food is going to be good. Yes, they have a snack bar which is excellent. Security, which can seem intimidating and overkill actually makes me feel VERY safe and I can understand why it is they way it is. There is nothing wrong with being cautious and prudent. The facilities are top-​notch and I have seen some great facilities. This is right up there with the best of them. Things are not usually broken or out of order as in many similar places and they do a great job of keeping everything in tip-​top shape. As a «gentile», I wholeheartedly recommend JCC for ANYONE. l’chaim

This review is for JCC summer camp ——
We’ve been to different summer camps and JCC has the best facility and security! My child was never bored there: between socialization, making crafts, PE and swimming, she was always happy there. And no we are not Jewish. They offer different summer camps for different age group. To break down the ratings: facility (*****), program (****), teachers (***). Overall, I gave 4 stars. Again, this review is based on our summer camp experience.

I joined the JCC for the close proximity to my son’s school. I can go work out either right after drop off or right before I go and pick him up. My favorite part of JCC is their swimming pool. Being that it’s salt water, it’s easy on my hair and skin. I don’t feel like to need to shower right after swimming and my hair doesn’t suffer either. I also enjoy their steam room and jacuzzi.
I also enjoy their cardio equipment, weight equipment, spin, group classes like Zumba, Pilates. The staff is super nice.
It’s an extremely comfortable, down to earth and inviting atmosphere.
I’m not Jewish and I feel comfortable going there on a daily basis.
The café there is kosher and serves great food. My favorite is their tuna fish platter. Delish!
There seems to be a misconception you have to be Jewish to join since when I tell people I belong to the JCC, that’s the first question they ask me. ALL are welcome. Membership director is Lisa and she’s super nice! So is Cynthia who is also in membership.

+s Great selection of yoga classes, great childcare, great playground, great café (especially for treats during the holidays)
–s not enough free community programming (especially for youth), workout equipment and tvs near equipment are not updated as much as nearby gyms
Overall, a good gathering place and great place to go for the day with your child; get your workout in, grab lunch, play together and swim together!

UNBELIEVABLE selection of work-​out classes. I believe it’s 90 per week!
With a membership you get access to the enormous gym with new machines, work-​out classes, two pools, basketball, raquetball, steam room and most of all — their community activities which are vast and adventureous.
I know that there are a lot of famililes who go there, but I am a single 20-​something and I LOVE the JCC. I plan on joining their softball league this fall.
