To Joya Spa: Thank you for your response! I’m looking forward to seeing the renovations on my next visit! As always, I love this spa and still highly recommend it to my friends!

Got my nails done by Cynthia before and she hurt my cuticles a lot. She doesn’t use oil or lotion before pushing back the cuticles and cuts the cuticles dry. She’s nice but I’m not going back. I thought going to a high end spa, I’d at least get an enjoyable and relaxing manicure.

Serene and beautiful. Loved the bar and yoga classes and the spa experience. Great mani!

This place is beautiful. I live in the neighborhood and go when I can. Not for the price sensitive…

Beautiful spa, nicely maintained, great salt water pool with a view! Had a service issue with a massage that the Spa Director made right. The food on the lunch menu is nice and light. There is refreshing drinking water everywhere and the service is nice. Do yourself a favor and check out the nap room. Seriously. Just do it. It was a really good day with my sister!

One of my favorite spas to venture too! It’s like a Moorish castle. The minute you enter this 31,000 sq. ft spa, you know you’ve found heaven. The pedicures, mani’s and facials are like no other. These people know how to pamper. The aromatherapy through out the spa is unbelievable. Talk about putting you at ease the minute you walk in. They also use my favorite skin care products, NaturaBisse one of the finest skin care on the market. You will not be disappointed. I’m a snob when it comes to being pampered. You’ll love this place…

Nice beautiful quiet spa! My friend had told me about the Joya Spa a while ago, and I was so excited to go for a facial. Like many other spas, you can use the facilities on the day of your appointment, before/after. Location: This is off Lincoln Drive, a beautiful area of the valley. The views from the upstairs pool are quite nice. Parking: Free in an underground garage. Amenities: The spa has typical spa goods, the slippers, robe, towels, etc., plus soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. There were numerous various waters around, including grapefruit-enhanced, lemon, and cucumber(separate), plus fruit in bowls here and there. The Whisper room/napping room was a dream! However, these women were«loud whispering» which kept me up the entire time. The nap room has individual beds with Tempur-Pedic® mattresses. However the napping room is where the staff members walk through with guests for the treatment rooms — kind of annoying. The spa includes a sauna, hot tub, cold water deluge, and a resting room with heated stones(I think? They didn’t seem heated). Pool: If you are a spa guest only, the upstairs pool is your only option. The hotel has other pools, but spa guests can only use the top pool. This pool was OK but pretty small. Also, the pool is very thick with chlorine, which is to be expected for a public pool, but wow! It is strong. My hair is dry and smells of chlorine even after two washes, and I was not even in the pool that long. Staff: Some of the staff were pretty friendly. Others were OK. The server at the pool was super attentive, friendly and nice. She brought us all ice waters and was quick with serving and cleaning up as well. Food: While at the pool, I ordered the smoked coconut club which includes grilled flavored tofu, veggies, and more. It was pretty good, but I likely would not order it again. They had interesting options, like salmon salad, salads, but other foods too. Services: I had a facial(unsure which one). It was an excellent experience. Lisa did an amazing job, and I was very comfortable.

Great day, great massage, and a customer service issue made right by Spa Director Stevie. Long story short, called in and was told about the Tuesday Two’s Company deal… Perfect for my wife and I to get massaged. Was quoted a price. After an awesome day, my bill was much, much higher than what the reservations agent(Steven?) quoted me. Stevie, the Director, took me at my word and gave me the quoted price. It was worth every penny. Thank you for making it right, and thank you to everyone for an outstanding day.

First let me say this spa is really warm, relaxing and has a very cozy feel to it. The amenities are truly beautiful and clean, especially the whisper room. The service in booking the massage and mani pedi was fine as well. The services were way below standard for the price you pay. I had a 50 minute massage and a man pedi. The massage was supposed to start at noon, she grabbed me around 12:05 and didn’t start on me until 12:10, the massage itself when she was actually touching me was okay but the majority of the massage was her putting towels on me or stretching me from place to place. I was done and at my locker by 12:45… So basically I got a 30 minute massage, maybe less. The mani pedi was weird. I received a French manicure and pedicure, half of the nails she straight lined with the white and the other nails were almost foggy and blended. Bizarre. Plus I didn’t even get a lotion massage with either? Just confused. I think she was in a hurry or something. Bottom line ladies… Don’t waste your money, there are much better spas out there for the same price and just as nice. Aji Spa at wild horse pass is nice and much better services. I’m so disappointed. I love day spas but I will not be back!

Joya Spa would get 5+ stars if not for the apathetic, untrained, bitchy staff at the pool. Note to Mgmt: if you want to offer lunch at the spa pool, either hire additional staff or at least provide some basic-level customer service training for the existing staff! Entitled much? Slow and disinterested. When we asked if there were three chairs together, we got the resting-bitch-face and«what you see is what you get». When asking for a 2nd round of cocktails, the reply was«I’m just a food runner, I don’t even know what you’re drinking»(with MUCH attitude). When requesting our checks… I received someone else’s credit card and bill. Lovely! Try just a little harder. Seriously, this is a high-end resort and you ladies are acting like we just interrupted rush week at your effing sorority! TRYHARDER! Okay…so…the massage was awesome. Thanks. Haha

How have I not reviewed this spa yet? What a slacker!!! This is my hands down favorite and during the summer I frequent it a lot! I’ve been fortunate to have been to Morocco where I visited a traditional hamaam.(talk about a VERY culturally weird experience, wow!) Years ago when I walked in, I immediately felt like I was back in Morocco. I noted this and the employee politely chuckled and told me that was the intention. It is in fact modeled after a hamamm. Well, they did a damn good job! This spa takes you away to another world right here in the desert. The semi darkness puts you in a relaxed spirit immediately. The spa offers spacious locker rooms, showers with all the amentities and the traditional sauna, steam room, whirlpool, cold drench shower, etc. It also offers a fantastic quiet room where you can nap on temperpeic peds while surrounded by canopies, it’s beyond tranquil and I love napping there! The spa has it’s own rooftop pool, albeit small, with great views of Camelback. I’ve had massages and facials here and I’ve never left disappointed. The rooms are top notch and the staff is professional and courteous and never feel the need to talk talk talk while you are having treatments. This doesn’t happen everywhere, just sayin. I leave here relaxed and pampered, as it should be.

This place makes you feel like a pampered princess. In Phoenix/Scottsdale it is truly the best – sophisticated and the spa pool view is majestic!

I’m updating my review of the Joya salon because I was so impressed by the attention the management gave me after I made them aware of my concerns.

I truly love this resort and spa. 3rd time back. 1st time awesome. 2nd time good and this last time amazing. Wish it was closer to my house it would be a monthly event. Had an awesome massage with Mome. Enjoyed lunch by the pool and after 5 cocktails. Left feeling refreshed and renewed for the week. Thanks to Stevie manager at Joya for making this a wonderful sunday afternoon.

This is the best massage that I ever had. My wife and I had a couple massage and it was very relaxing and worth every penny. We will definitely visit again. Make sure you go early and take advantage of every amenities that they have. The pool, hot tube, and sauna was well worth it. My wife and I did not won’t to leave.

Hands down. one of the best spas I have ever been too. The whole experience was amazing, from the moment I stepped foot out of the car until the moment we left, it was perfect. The spa itself is absolutely beautiful and luxurious. My 50 minute massage was just what I needed after traveling and Holly was the perfect«doctor» for my body. She helped me reconnect with myself and truly relax. She was amazing and provided me with one of the best massages of my life. Then the amenities of the spa are another great addition to the experience. We slept in the whisper room, sweat in the sauna, and then enjoyed our day outside on the beautiful terrace while we soaked in the sun and swam in the pool. Even the lunch you could buy out at the pool was delicious… there is seriously no complaints about this experience and I cannot wait to go back!

This spa is so spacious and luxurious! I’ve been here twice and had great massages both times. This time I also had lunch on the poolside terrace, which has a spectacular view of Camelback and then relaxed poolside for the entire afternoon. Great lunch and soooo relaxing! Highly recommended!

Came here with the bestie today for some adult time. We both had the 50 minute Swedish massage and lunch on the terrace. Both of our massages were relaxing and just what we needed. I always arrive early to take advantage of the sauna, whirlpool and huge lounges before my services. After the massage we had lunch on the terrace. I had the jalapeño lemonade and we split the tuna tacos. We also each had the hamburger sliders, which were perfect after a relaxing massage, nothing too heavy. It was a beautiful day so we took advantage of the private spa guest only pool and lounge chairs and soaked up the sun for a bit after lunch. The whole experience was amazing and I can’t wait to go back.

Pros: When I asked all my coworkers for spa recommendations, they all said Joya spa. Took my out of town visitor here and we had a great girls day. Sunbathing by the rooftop pool, spa services, and the hamam. The food options available poolside were kinda bland, typical spa food. Cons: there was some confusion about the price for services. My friend and I thought our total would be between $ 200 – 300 due to some deal we read about online. The entire time we were there, we were so shocked at the amazing value. Turns out, we received over $ 400 of services. Needless to say, it was a great experience, but we won’t be back.
