Gary’s Barbershop

This is what you picture when you think of a men’s barbershop. No crazy schemes, very well laid out. Video game area for kids, nice waiting area.

Great cut. It’s rare that you get to go to a place where the owner is the only one with the clippers. A real hidden gem in a town that is dominated by corporate business.

I was in town for business and needed a hot shave Desperately. I searched barber shop near my hotel and discovered Gary’s barber shop. I had a service done there. Place is great; nice and clean. Growing up having the same barber for 18 years, I have been in search of the same here in the valley but have been unsuccessful until I went to Gary’s barber Shop. Gary’s barber shop has the comfort and quality of a traditional barber shop that is rare to find anymore. Gary himself is a perfectionist that truly focuses on quality and provided me with the best haircut in years! As soon as you walk in you will notice a clean and comforting atmosphere with t vs at each chair and a beautiful custom set up. Gary also provides complimentary beverages and has an Xbox and a chess board for kids and adults to be entertained while waiting. Gary’s barber shop is the best in the valley and will forever have my business!

My husband, Tom, had his first haircut at his FAVORITE barber’s new Shop — Gary’s Barbershop, and he loved it! Tom has been getting his hair cut by Gary for years. I know that he really appreciates Gary’s attn to detail, precision cut, the relaxing atmosphere and good old fashioned barbershop comradely.

Today was a fine, fine day! Gary Z., the owner of Gary’s Barbershop (Frank Lloyd Wright just north of Shea, in the Ancala Center, Scottsdale), has been cutting my hair for years. I first discovered his talent at another shop in Scottsdale. Today, I had the pleasure of visiting his new Shop for the first time. Right where we left off. Gary remembers how his customers like their haircut. I sat down. Didn’t need to remind him of any of my preferences. The magic begins — scissors cut (the only way). Great conversation. Precision cut. Boom — excellent results.
Gary’s shop is in a great location. Next to Spinato’s Pizzeria, in the Ancala Center. The Shop is beautifully appointed. Definitely a guy’s place. Love having the personal TV.
There are many things I like about how Gary goes about cutting hair (or any of the other services offered). I’ve witnessed over the years that if a new customer needs a quick cut, Gary delivers, without wasting time. That customer won’t know what hit him until he realizes what a fine haircut he just received. For his long-​time customers, they of course get the same high-​quality service. But, I have always felt that they wanted to hang around a bit longer, ’cause they (like I) enjoyed being there. But they also get a deeper appreciation of Gary. He has many interests and many insights on various topics. That’s part of what makes the experience something like the barbershops of yesterday, when relationships and friendships were developed.
But, more importantly, Gary is the kind of guy that will have NO problem building a large customer base. His talent, experience, and personality will make his Shop very successful. I wish him the best of luck in this new adventure. I’ll be back once per month.

I stopped in this afternoon and got a great haircut. Gary is very professional and good at his job, and the barbershop is very nice. The service was fantastic and I will be returning here regularly. I highly recommend this business.
