Gallery On The Avenue

This is not the store it once was. The gallery portion of the store is pretty much non existent. This gallery had a great collection of pottery, paintings, prints, photographs etc. all of that is pretty much non existent now. The store has turned into a touristy souvenir shop. The girl working there has absolutely no personality and is less than accomodating. I don’t expect this place to last. Not sure what happened, but a total waste of time.
We will not be back. Don’t waste your time going here.

5 stars for the artwork and prints they sell but ZERO stars for customer service! Had a terrible experience here with my family today. As we were admiring the pieces in the shop, I was accused of taking pictures moments later. I did have my smart phone out (after all it is the 21^st century!) but was NOT taking pics! The lady went on and on about how they are not a gallery (then why is it in the name of your store?) and to go across the street instead. Even after I told her I didn’t take pictures she went on about how everything was copyrighted – ok I get it! Never have I talked to such a RUDE person! I was appalled. We left seconds afterwards. We were going to give them business but clearly the lady did not want it. They missed out on an $ 800 photograph I would have bought. I will NOT be back and I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone due to the lack of customer service. I am not sure if she was the owner or not but I truly feel I deserve an apology!
