I have had the privilege of having my hair colored, cut, and styled by Brooke S, since I moved to Phoenix more than five years ago. She is a master of color and styling. I know I will always receive compliments on my hairstyle every time and will recommend her, always.

This review is for Teresa who works in this salon. I came to her last August or September fed up with my hair. In fact I’d been fed up with it for years. I have very thick, stiff, straight hair with some gnarly cowlicks. My hair wants to go the direction it goes, and there’s little one can do to fight it. In addition, my hairline comes down quite low on my forehead and isn’t straight across by any means.
I realize many men who are bald or balding will have little sympathy for me as I have a full thick head of hair, but I can tell you it is unruly and over the years I’ve been to many stylists (some very high-​end and expensive) who’ve been unable to give me a decent cut that is flattering and doesn’t require a long daily styling routine. Even supposedly very well trained and experienced stylists have struggled with my hair. They don’t believe me when I sit down in the chair and tell them, «if you take off any length here by my part it’s not going to go down and we’ll have to go way short». Needless to say I’ve spent most of my life with very short cuts that require little to no styling but aren’t very good looking.
Enter Teresa. We were already starting from a previous bad cut and you can imagine I’m not the easiest customer to please. She took the time to listen to my experiences and then came up with a game plan. She didn’t tell me I’d have an amazing cut that day, but told me within 4 – 6 cuts she’d have me looking great. It wasn’t going to be the easiest in the meantime, but she assured me if I stuck with her she’d make it happen. And she was right. During my first cut, as she worked she showed me the direction my hair grows on my head and the problem areas. She described how the cuts I’d been getting were problematic because they were trying to fight my hair instead of work with it. I left that first day with a good looking cut, but that required a lot of work each day to style.
For three more cuts we let areas grow, trimmed other spots, and worked towards a goal of a great men’s cut to highlight my thick head of hair. Each time at the end of the cut she would carefully take me through the whole styling process so I could do it at home. With each cut the styling got easier. I think just having someone educate me about my hair and how to style has made a huge difference. Nobody has ever taken the time to do that before.
I just had my hair cut by Teresa a few days ago, and now I’ve got a great swept back cut that it professional and clean. Best of all, when I get out of the shower with my hair wet, it practically falls into place. Styling is now a breeze. She also fixed my hairline problem with a little straight razor which I can maintain at home. My confidence is through the roof, and it’s all thanks to Teresa for taking the time to really help someone who was clueless. Thank you Teresa!

I called on a whim since I had free time on my Sat and I was able to get in immediately. I saw new girl named Brittany. She was super sweet and gave me beautiful deep brown color with come natural caramel highlights. the cut it bouncy, moveable and modern. Love it! Thank you

Brooke is simply. the. best! I show up for my appointments with my hair looking a little sad, definitely needing new color and her magic touch. When she’s done, I feel fabulous! I feel refreshed and know my hair looks amazing for the next few weeks. She is a true color WIZARD! She is also a master stylist, and I give her free reign to cut my hair however she thinks it looks best. I am never disappointed and always get compliments. After my last appointment, a friend told me I looked ten years younger. Not only is she amazing at her craft, Brooke takes time to make sure I understand how to style my haircut at home to keep it looking great. I’m a client forever. Love!

Marco is truly an amazing artist and such a nice person. He explained what he had in mind before he colored and cut my hair. He showed me different ways to style it easily. I recommend him to anyone and everyone!

I called in for an anti-​frizz treatment (Kerastase Discipline product line) last minute on a Sunday. They got me in right away and Teresa was amazing throughout everything. She took the time to walk me through everything, including my billions of questions about what was going on with my hair and why it was frizzing. She even explained the basics behind how scalp and hair care was different and why.
Her treatment application included a neck massage which was HEAVENLY. Honestly, Teresa, if you’re reading this, you need to think about being a masseuse on the side.
After the treatment, she walked me through what my daily routine should be and messed up her own hair to demonstrate how I should blow dry mine. She put her recommended products on the counter and then walked away so I didn’t feel pressured to buy. Teresa told me to call her anytime if I had anymore questions.
Absolutely fabulous service and I will definitely give then a try next time I need a haircut. A++

Cut my haircut from Tyler, and it is the best haircut I have ever gotten. Tyler was excellent, and you can tell he has a passion for his art.

Ellie is amazing! She is amazing at color and cut. I have extensions and they look completely natural. You would never know I have extensions! I love my hair!

Overall excellent experience. Higher end salon without the pretension. My stylist Dallas was very attentive and did a great style after my cut. Very professional and engaging. I will be back.

While everyone at this salon is great and such professionals… Teresa is the absolute best!
I used to get my hair done by Teresa at her previous salon in Chandler, but then I decided to make the nearly 45-​minute trip just to see her when she switched over to ETCH Salon. When I first came to her, my hair was a wreck. But she transformed it into a beautiful shade of blond that I was absolutely in love with. She managed to give me gorgeous color while still keeping my hair healthy (which is hard to do when going blond!)
Then I moved to Manhattan and couldn’t find anyone in NYC who does my hair like Teresa. I will now WAIT until I go home to Arizona for a visit to have anyone even touch my hair. At my last visit, Teresa helped me switch it up & we went from blond back to a rich, chocolate brunette. She really is the absolute best at what she does, is so sweet & funny, and makes the hours spent in the salon chair go by in a flash.
(She even cuts my brother’s hair, so she’s great at men’s cuts as well!)

I have been going to etch for almost 3 years now! Sam is so amazing!!! She always knows exactly what I want! And does it right the first time. I’ve gone to other people (non that work at etch) and my hair wasn’t at all how I wanted! You are paying so much money for the service so I expect it to be done the right way the first time! It always is with Sam! She is so amazing! I love my blonde balayage !!! I honestly would trust anyone at the salon though! My mom also goes to Etch… She sees Dallas. He is amazing. If Sam wasn’t working for some reason and I needed to get in I would for sure go to Dallas!

I can’t say enough positive things about my experience with Jillian! We talked about the vision I had and she managed to execute even better than I could have imagined-​this in by far the most in love I have ever been with my hair! The color exceeded my expectations, the cut was perfect and it was the best blow dry I have ever had… I thought I have had blowouts before but I was mistaken. Please take my word and reach out to her if your hair needs some love!!!
Shea assisted her while she worked on me and gave me the best head message I’ve ever had during my shampoo!!!

I love Kristin O’Brien!!! She is a talented stylist with a great personality. I felt so comfortable with her working on my hair. Her assistant is amazing as well. If you are looking for new stylist go to Kristin. She will leave you smiling!!!

Plans have been progressing nicely for my daughter’s wedding day next year. Dresses purchased (thank you Schaffer’s) venue chosen (thank you Trilogy at Vistancia Kiva Club) now on to getting our hair ready for the big day, even though it is a year away. Both my daughter and my hair was in dire need of assistance. We again called our wonderful bridal consultant from Schaffer’s, Kacey, to ask for a recommendation of a salon and she referred us to Etch. I took my daughter, future daughter in law and off we went. My future daughter in law saw Christopher for a balyage. OMG he did an amazing job!!! Would definitely recommend him because she is very demanding and if he can make her happy I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
My daughter and I both saw Jillian. She is unbelievable. Our hair color looks rich, clean and healthy. Her assistant Shea hair massage during shampoo is so, so relaxing.
The salon is upbeat, stylish and clean.

I’ve been seeing Jamie for almost a year and I love her! I literally drive 30 min just to get my hair done. She always lets me know what she’s doing throughout the process. She listens to what I want and then makes it look even better… I’m super picky and have a lot of ideas and she is patient and figures out what looks best. Amazing cuts and great color that works with my skin tone. So talented at what she does. Thanks, Jamie!

Jamie was amazing. She listened to what I did and did not like about my previous cut and color (done elsewhere) and made a few suggestions of her own without ever being pushy and I could not be happier. I will definitely be returning to this salon in the future.

Came here a few months ago for a color correction .
Suzanne was my stylist. Over all liked my hair, but felt alittle shade thrown my way. Her asst was lovely and answered a lot of my questions. She told me the price of extra conditioner and I agreed to it. But a simple blow dry was an extra $ 50 ! I even mentioned nothing to crazy I was heading home to go work out. I think this should be mentioned as well as any add on’s .
I was called to review my service and was credited for $ 38 treatment to use next service. After I thought about it, I felt a mistrust with stylist so I began a new mission for a new stylist once again lol.
I spent over $ 400 for service and products — I am not a cheap spender — just be up front with things.
Over all the salon was busy but very boring vibe. With the prices — suggest offering a glass of wine.

Had such a fantastic experience today with Brittney Larson. I had been growing out my roots and just wanted a few highlights to break up the dark versus light look I was rocking. She listened to me carefully and then pulled out the different colored hair swatches so that together we could pick the «goldilocks color… not too dark… not too light… but just right».
She explained everything she was doing (whisper thin highlights) and walked me through the process. Needless to say, I was more than thrilled with the result. This girl is a gem.

I do not have enough good things to say about my experience at this saloon!!! Maybe a smudge to expensive for your everyday cut and color, ONLY BECAUSE I rarely let anybody touch my hair, nevertheless THE PRICE IS STILL RIGHT for the experience. I went in to get my hair Mo Hawked and colored, but was not feeling 100% as daring as I thought. Jillian, my amazingly cute, sweet, self-​loving, hair artist helped me pull together my vision while only half way explaining what I wanted with very vague words like warm and short and a bunch of idk’s from me! I’m not always decisive as need be but this hair magician intuitively put together my vision and voilA! I felt like a queen. This is a fun, upbeat, hip, and modern place to go! Please go and experience the wonder!
