Worst service ever! This husband and wife are so rude! Do not come here unless you wanna be treated like crap! Awful! So sad because it’s at a prime location.

Worst pizza I have ever had. I love pizza. The old adage«even bad pizza is still good» does not apply here. I had a $ 4 slice of cheese pizza here after an evening out in Old Town Scottsdale It looked like any other generic walk-in, buy by the slice pizza place. However, the pizza tasted like homemade Playdoh. No real flavor to the sauce or cheese, just over-salted, undercooked, terrible tasting dough. Blech… Not good… not cheap… not ever coming back…

I don’t leave Unilocal reviews often, but this place deserves one. Overpriced for mediocre pizza and awful service. Asked for a cup of water(seemingly reasonable request) and the owner not only denied the request, but could not have been more rude. Even after offering to pay $.25 for the cup I was told to use the drinking fountain outside or buy a bottle of Arrowhead.

Been here twice, would stop by for pizza since I was in the area for a concert. I thought the pizza was really good, but rather pricey.

Really great tasting pizza by the slice! Thin and crispy and meat lovers was excellent! Felt great to be in an old school family owned place with friendly service

Two slices of cheese pizza 8 bucks. Luke warm and tasteless. Owner needs to instill value with a drink salad combo for 8 bucks.

We stopped here mid-day on a Sunday. The place was a nice retreat from the heat of the day. It was nice and cool inside. They have high tables with cushioned bar stools inside and two tables with umbrellas outside. Three slices of pizza and three drinks came to $ 20.00. A little pricey but this was Scottsdale. The pizza slice was decent size. It was previously cooked and they put it back in the oven, which is typical of places that sell pizza by the slice. It was kind of hard and not all that cheesy. The toppings were okay. I think it would have been better had it been fresh. It filled our bellies. Maybe we just hit it at an off time. It was alright for a quick bite. They have subs and frozen ice cream bars too. We would eat here again.

Good but not great slices of pepperoni pizza. I am a New Yorker and I have high standards for pizza. They don’t hit it out the park with their slices but it’s got a good amount of grease and oil. The crust is crunchy enough. It’s slightly overpriced, $ 8 for 2 slices of pepperoni pizza but it’s good enough to justify it. They are very friendly so I have no idea what other people are talking about. It’s hard to find NY or NJ quality pizza out here and this place comes as close as they can.

Pizza is pizza at 2am. would never go there at any other time. They also squeeze out dollars by charging for breathing and ranch in packets and anything else you may want…

I came here for a slice this evening and I have never experienced worst customer service in my life than here(and I got out to eat every single day). I walked in and notices three old slices in the window and asked if they had anything fresh. The man rudely replied that they had fresh cheese and pepperoni in the back. I asked for a slice of cheese and watched him put the old slice of cheese in the oven so I promptly asked for the fresh slice. The woman working next to him said«this is fresh and has only been here 5 minutes. Do you want it or not?!?» I chose to believe her and said yes as I stepped aside to let a big party behind me order. After they finished, I watched the woman take out, the then burnt slice of cheese pizza, put it back in the window and asked me again what I wanted as if I had never ordered. I told them I would like a slice of cheese so she picked up the burnt slice and tried to put it back in the oven. I’ve never reviewed a single restaurant(good or bad) in my life, but this was bad enough to share to everyone. Owners who treat customers like this should not be allowed to run restaurants. Don’t ever go here!!!

This is the worst customer experience I wish I had read it on the Unilocal about the husband and wife duo. Wife was extremely rude, pizza was over priced and had to toss the pizza in the bin as it was so bad. My daughter forced me to buy from them as she was really hungry and did not want to eat anything else. Wish they go out of business soon or they have a change in management

Just put down a sandwich from a place that uses fresh ingredients and the owners are from Napoli. Amazing. I can’t wait to have the pizza. I even got to speak Italian in Scottsdale. You have to try this place for lunch and I bet that the pizza is ridiculously great. Tornò fra un po’.

This is the worst place for pizza in downtown Scottsdale or any downtown. I have come wandering in here after many nights of drinking and never could pull the trigger on a slice. They are nasty, greasy looking triangles that will set you back at least 5 bucks for one slice. My buddy used to get the slices and always said he would never order one again, but he was from Canada and kept choking it down. I think it was because he drank liquor and that further clouded his judgement and my pleas to «don’t do it.» It is a husband and wife team and they are always texting or on the phone when you walk inside and the place is never open either. Consider yourself lucky if you arrive one night and they are closed.

I stopped by after hanging out at Casablanca Lounge. True Italian food with good subs and pizza. Not gourmet but good comfort food… Definitely recommended!

One of the worst places for overpriced pizza or subs! Don’t waste your money. Crusty/toasted probably day old small roll for a sandwich with 2 slices of meat and 1 slice of american cheese for $ 8. Slice of pizza was over $ 3 and medium drink was $ 2(one refill allowed). Nothing tasted authentic or worth another visit.

This place completely sucks. I stopped by there for lunch one day during work and all I can say is don’t waste your time. I got the lunch«special» which came with two slices of dry, tasteless, rancid pizza and a small soda for $ 8.00. First off, you call that a special?! Stop by Mama Mia’s or any other pizza joint and you’d get the same thing for $ 4.00. What a rip off! Then, as I was ordering I asked for side of ranch and that was an extra .50 cents. Okay, whatever, I always think it’s chincy when they charge for ranch but who am I to complain right? So out comes my pizza on two different plates with two sides or ranch which were both measly plastic packets of Heinz ranch — not even fresh homemade ranch or out of a refrigerated bottle at least! No surprise that the ranch was sour and spoiled! On to the pizza — the crust was cardboard and tasted like stale sour dough bread. I’m surprised I didn’t break my jaw trying to chew it. The cheese was congealed and rubberized. As for the sauce, well it would of been nice if there was sauce! The little sauce that was on there probably came out of a can or a plastic packet just like the ranch. I can tell you with 100% certainty that NOTHING here is fresh. The icing on the cake was when I went to refill my soda to wash down this awful meal I just forced myself to consume and I see that they charge for refills! What a surprise! Next time, I’ll go behind Chuckie Cheese and see if I can find any pizza in the dumpster. That would be gourmet compared to this crap — and I could save eight bucks! Woo hoo!

Stopped in recently after a fun night at Brush Bar and was very glad that we did! Pizza is delicious! The husband/wife team who own this place are pleasant and really from Italy. Wife is a little rough around the edges but I suspect it’s from all the drunks who stop in there late in the evening and give her a hard time. We found her friendly and nice when we chatted about her Italian heritage. Sometimes you just have to make it about others and not about YOU. ;) The restaurant itself is a little older and rough around the edges compared to other places in Old Town but in a way, it was refreshing to get something GENUINE instead of contrived like so many places there are. It’s got a handful of tables and a high tops along the window but it’s clearly meant more for take out than dine in. The pizza was very yum. I had a slice of pepperoni and jalapeño which was excellent. My husband had a slice of Italian sausage and a slice of pepperoni. Both were great. The sausage wasn’t too spicy and the cheese was excellent. We even got a pie to go to thank our babysitter(the big son) for a job well done. The pie to go was even tastier than the slices we had. We will definitely go back to Best of Italy next time we have a pizza craving while visiting Scottsdale. It’s worth the visit and I look forward to exploring more of the menu.

I’d probably go ahead and recommend changing the name to «Best of Little Italy» because I’d be hard pressed to find any of that menu in the old country. Having said that the wonderful owners, who hail from Naples, do a good job of making the Italian American standards that we’ve grown up loving. Good subs, alright pizza, very good calzone. Also, judging by the reviews I’d recommend going during normal hours or not waiting to eat until the wee, wee hours of the morning.
