Bath Pro Custom bathroom remodeling

My wife and I wanted our master bath remodeled. It was a job of pretty fair size.
we found this company at the Home Show. After agreeing to an estimate time the owner came to our house with their in-​house designer. The owner was less than enthusiastic, almost aloof. The designer, Tina, quite frankly was the one that sold us on the company with her ideas and enthusiasm.
The contract was signed in March and a 50% start payment was made. Construction was to start within a few weeks. It started in the middle of May! To make a long story short I will sum up the pros and cons, in my opinion:
Pro: Tina was extremely helpful and mindful of budgetary concerns. Dave, the new tile guy was a no nonsense worker. He came in, did his job, ate his lunch, and went back to work. He did a great job on the tile work with great grout lines. Classic case of two employees that would be rock stars in a better managed company.
Cons: *The absentee owner. As soon as the sale was made, he was never heard from again.
*Other than the above-​mentioned, very poor workmanship
* Total lack of communication. The only thing this company does fast is cash checks. I have never had so many unreturned phone calls and Emails in my professional life. A total lack of professionalism.
* The contract is a one-​way proposition. 5-​year workmanship guarantee. It took numerous calls to get a shower glass fixed. I think they did it because I mentioned liability in the email. I’m still waiting to hear back about the cracked granite counter top. They probably thought I wouldn’t notice. As we headed into mid-​June, with me facing surgery in July, I finished the bathroom myself because I couldn’t wait for their finish guy.
*I have been in the construction business, with many family members in the trades. In addition, I have run businesses from small, to large departments, in corporations. I have never seen such a poorly run business. They talk the talk, but other than a few employees, they do not walk the walk. I can’t emphasize enough, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR REMODEL!!!
