I was referred Christy by my girlfriend, who has been coming to her shop for nearly a decade. Christy is the first stylist I have worked with who has taken the time to really understand my hair. Before she got to cutting, she spent a lot of time asking me questions about how I wear my hair, what products I use, what I liked and didn’t like about my previous cut, and what I was looking for in my next cut. We looked at pictures together of what I wanted, and she played with my hair to really learn it. Based on our conversations, she gave recommendations on what she thinks we should do, and asked for my input. More importantly, she always kept in mind how the haircut would look as it grew out, which really guided our decisions together.
Kira, one of Christy’s students, was standing by to help her and to learn from her work. At each step, Christy explained to Kira her decision making process and how she approached the challenge of working with my two crazy cowlicks, which are now completely tamed by Christy’s amazing work.
Her passion for what she does is contagious and inspiring. With unceasing attention to detail and an impeccable eye for style, not only is Christy one of the best stylists I have ever worked with, she is also a valuable mentor for anyone looking to develop their career in this field.

PLUS she does truly awesome make up. She is multi-​talented and a joy to sit with for hours on end. I saw CC for a curl class. She was so professional and kept me informed every step of the way of what she was doing and why. She was really educated with both curly hair and what the different products. She did such a great job on my curls! I got so many compliments on my hair for days after! I would highly suggest her to anyone! She takes her career very serious and truly is educated in the art of hair.

C.C. is an exceptional hairstylist with the ability to make the whole process of getting your hair done feel very comfortable. She has great advice and understanding regarding hair type, texture, etc. I would recommend her to anyone who is in search if a new hairstylist as she will happily educate you on what your hair is capable of. Every time she has done my hair I have been satisfied!

I love Christi Lanz’s work! She is the 3^rd hair stylist I have tried in the past 3 months. Christi not only corrected all of the mistakes the other hair stylists made, but she took the time to listen to my needs. She knows everything about hair! I have skin sensitivities and she was very careful to use products that did not irritate my scalp. I will definitely go back and I already refer her to my friends!

CC (aka Christi Lanz) is a wonderful stylist. I chose CC after reading her bio and learning how experienced & talented she is with hair & fashion.
I wanted a «fellow-​blonde» to do my hair color, as I am very picky & selective when it comes to my fine hair. I explained to CC that former stylists failed to give me the icy-​blonde tone that I wanted. She was able to achieve this without compromising the health of my fine & fragile hair.
On another note, CC is a stylish & beautiful girl, so I trusted that she would do a fabulous job & she did!

When we first moved to north Scottsdale we received a welcome note and coupon from Aura Salon and have never gone anywhere else for haircuts or color since. Apart from the A+ quality of their services the employee turnover is lower than I’ve ever seen at a salon. The employees say it’s a pleasure to work there and it shows. I would recommend Aura Salon & Day Spa to anyone in need of a hair cut, color, facial, brow wax or product purchase.

I love coming to Aura and seeing Kailee for my hair! She helped me go from dark brown to platinum blonde the healthy way and she installs my extensions as well. Without her advice on hair care and tips my hair would be broken off and damaged. I come to the salon at least once a month whether it’s root retouch or to help tone my hair if it turns brassy. Definitely recommend!

My husband got me the 90 minutes of bliss with a customized facial, neck and shoulder massage and hand/​foot massage. I was kind of nervous because it was my first facial but the staff made me feel really relaxed. I really enjoyed it and my face was glowing afterwards! I would definitely return. I loved it!
The only complaint I have is that my husband gave me a gift card with gratuity included and the front desk person just took my card and said I was all set without telling me the total or anything. I asked if she made sure the tip is on there and would go to the staff and she said that the card is for the «service only.» I showed her the receipt that said «gratuity included on the gift card.» She checked the gift card again and there was $ 21 left on there after the service. So I asked for the $ 21 to go to the staff and gave them an extra $ 8. I am glad I asked about it instead of just leaving and thinking I was all set with that $ 21 just going to the service or just not being used as a tip. It would have been nice to have been told the total for the service and maybe double check what is included on the card.

I saw Mackenzie for highlights and a haircut and it was a fantastic experience. The salon is a beautiful space and all staff is warm and inviting. Since I am new to the Scottsdale area it was important to find a new hairstylist that I liked. I have found mine now at Aura!

Not up to par and overpriced for the below average results. Too bad since My house is minutes away.

After moving to Phoenix from Tucson, I struggled to find a salon as great as Gadabout was (all my T-​Locs know what’s up). Two years later, I finally got up the nerve to try Aura, mostly so that I didn’t have to keep making the trek down to the Old Pueblo just for a haircut. Ummm can you say best decision ever?
Jenni is a rock superstar. I have incredibly curly hair (Shirley Temple had nothing on me), so I’m always nervous about what the end result will be after a haircut. Jenni is trained in DevaCurl and knows my hair better than I do. My curls are always shiny, full of body, and most importantly NOT Frizz Central, USA. She always makes sure that I am happy with what my hair looks like and with my experience in general.
I have never had a bad experience here at Aura. Love it!

My favorite day spa in Scottsdale! The facials are my favorite spa treatment here. Gillian looks at my skin and customizes my treatment based on what my skin needs. The staff is friendly and its easy to book appts. Each estatician I have been to at Aura has been amazing! You will not be disappointed! My daughter also has her hair cut here and its always a good cut and just what we ask for.

I’ve been going to Aura for cut and color for a couple of years now. The staff is always polite and helpful and I get the best hair styling from Desiree. She really has a way with color and she’s given me the best haircuts I’ve ever had. I know my hair is always safe in her hands and I now I won’t go anywhere else! I also really like their rewards program, where you can get discounts for referrals, free services on your birthday, and you can earn points that go toward services.

Had a fabulous Kerastase treatment and cut today by Gianna, welcomed promptly and thoroughly enjoyed our pet dog banter!
Wonderful staff and I was offered the half off move in special despite not having the coupon. Will be back for regular «fusio boosters» soon :)

My husband and I recently moved to the area and received a welcome letter from Aura Salon and Spa indicating 50% off any service. I desperately needed a haircut, so I decided to give them a try. I called around 4:55pm on a Wednesday and asked what they had available. There were different stylists available at various times until close. I wanted to get my haircut immediately and Amy was available at 5:30pm, so my decision was made.
Aura Salon is located in the AJ’s shopping plaza, next to a dentist office and the Starbucks. I’ve walked by a few times, but hadn’t been inside. Upon entering, I was greeted by the front desk receptionist. They offered me something to drink and had me fill out some forms. When I was done, Amy introduced herself and took me back to her work station. I described how I’m trying to grow my hair out, but it’s been difficult since I’m used to having short hair. Plus, I had so many dead ends and just needed something fresh. Amy was helpful and friendly — saying we had multiple choices. Since I was on the fence about growing it out or chopping it all off, Amy took off a few inches (all the dead stuff) and said if I wanted to go shorter in the next week, to come back and she’d fix it for me — for free. (Luckily, I liked the cut and didn’t go any shorter!)
Overall, it was a good experience. The salon is conveniently located with convenient hours. Everyone I interacted with was polite and friendly. Amy was a great hairstylist — she listened to what I wanted and was able to deliver. After the cut, she did recommend some shampoo/​conditioner to keep my hair healthy and to get it cut every 6 weeks.

I have been going to Aura Salon & Day Spa for many years. After a couple of years with my first stylist at Aura, she moved out of state, and I went searching through out Scottsdale/​Phoenix for a replacement. Unfortunately, I had some less than stellar outcomes, and was largely unsatisfied until I returned to Aura.
When I headed back to Aura Salon & Day Spa I met Ali, who has been my stylist ever since! Not only does Ali have talent and skill when it comes to cut and color — she also listens to what I actually want, and doesn’t just start chopping away!
After many months of perfect highlights, Ali successfully transformed me from nearly blonde to a rich, warm brunette. I always receive a lot of compliments on my color, and while I probably don’t let Ali’s talents shine when it comes to cutting my hair — she does exactly what I want! What more could I ask for?
Ali and the team at Aura are consistent, fun and talented!
