The sandwiches were tasty and filling. A great find after visiting The Mystery Spot. The line was a bit long but the food came out relatively quickly.

Tried the Corned Beef Reuben today. It was delicious. It was my first visit and busier than I expected for 1pm on a Wednesday. Staff seemed friendly. I’d come back again.

We came upon The Redwood Sandwich by chance and I’m glad we did! Food was great,(TriTip & Blue, Mac salad, and Caparse Chicken) place was clean, got our food quickly and the people working were all very nice. What else do you need? We will definitely be back.

Sandwiches are great but unfortunately their customer service is majorly lacking. I’ve been there 3 times and each time, with different people at the cash register, I’ve gotten no smiles, no «how are you doing tonight?». Not even a thank you; not in the least bit friendly. I called to order a single sandwich and was told it would be 20 minutes. Seems a bit long for one sandwich. I would think 10 minutes would have been plenty of time to make one sandwich, unless they were packed when I called, which I seriously doubt on a Monday. When I went to pick it up there was one other customer in the restaurant. I really think if there customer service was better, their business would be better. Too bad as Scotts Valley really needs a good sandwich place. I probably won’t be returning.

You really wanna love a small pace like this but… The guy at the register didn’t say hi or thank you and had the personality of a rock. I ordered a grilled cheese which was a greasy mess and tasted like meat. The Mac and cheese was stellar though.

After watching a movie at Cinelux with my boyfriend, we decided to try this place out seeing the good Unilocal reviews. Needless to say, they lived up to them. I ordered the Salami, Capicolla and Provolone — good flavors and good portions. My boyfriend also enjoyed his Chicken Caprese. We ordered a side of Mac n Cheese(my ultimate comfort food). Although it was creamy from the cheese, it could have used a little bit more flavor to it. Overall, would definitely recommend.

Had the meatloaf sandwich on a grilled sourdough roll — awesome. Picked up a side of mac and cheese for my kids(mac and cheese connoisseurs), and they loved it. Great to have a new favorite sandwich place in Scotts Valley.

What a great little place. My son got the meatball sandwich and I got the tri tip sandwich. They offer half sandwich as a size option, which is awesome. Both of our sandwiches were delicious(I assume: my son inhaled his). The restaurant itself is cozy, has ample seating, and has a tv so you can watch *the game*.

Although in our first visits there RSC seemed to have trouble keeping enough food on hand for its sandwiches, that problem appears to have been fixed. RSC now serves up some mighty fine sandwiches. While they’re a little more expensive than I“m used to paying, RSC’s sandwiches are well-made with nice options(toasted vs. grilled vs. neither) and quality ingredients. So far I’ve tried the toasted Turkey Club with(tasty, thick!) bacon slices; and the Reuben on grilled chiabatta. Both are recommended. I hear good things about the French Dip. Clean, simple décor there is also very nice. Counter service ranges from un-effusive to grim, but hey, so long as these guys stay focused on producing sturdy sandwiches, I don’t mind.

I came here once before, the first week they opened. Was average and unorganized, so wasn’t in a hurry to get back. Now I’m perfectly refreshed as to why. Hi Mohawk guy at the register: FYI, it is ok to be friendly.(More like you were to the old ladies behind me where you actually said hello and thank you.) Also, you wouldn’t have to rudely point at the ingredients when a customer wants a build your own if you had it posted on the wall along with the rest of your hideously written chalkboard menu. Btw, siiiiick Modesto tats bro…(I don’t use the word bro, but thought you would relate a bit more to that, and they do match the hawk nicely, so kudos.) I was just going to add a «tip» at first rather than a full review, but while sitting in there waiting an extremely long time for the sandwiches, the awesome tidbits kept piling up. You got our order wrong, twice. Words of advice: when you get the order wrong, don’t explain to the customer what’s on the sandwich you accidentally made for them. That is not going to change what’s on it. News flash: making a new one does that. Here’s the proper response for next time that happens, which should be in the staff handbook you most definitely don’t have: «Sorry sir, what was your order, we’ll remake that for you right away! Another excerpt: «Do not let the garbage can fill up so our customers cannot put any more garbage in it.» There’s more, don’t worry, but I’ll spare you. There were tons of people coming in to pick in phone orders. Now I know why: it takes forever to get the damned order and when you do it’s fucked up. They should rename the place«Modesto Mohawk Bro Bramwiches.» No, that’s not fair, it could easily be more of a Fresno, Stockton or somewhere else in «Nor Cal» thing. Lucky for them, won’t ever be back. They escaped 1 star because it was edible, yet amazingly far from incredible. And yes I write scathing reviews in hopes that it will wake someone up, sorry it had to be you guys, but Dexter does not let bad, rude service off easily.

Pretty darn good. Went there to pick up 4 sandwiches for the family at lunch a couple weeks ago. French Dip –5stars Meatloaf –4stars TriTip/Bleu –5stars Club House –4stars If they had pastrami I would give them 5 stars in a second. Best sandwich shop in town, hands down at the moment, I’ve been hearing some pretty negative stuff around town lately. Better not F%#! Up!

The tri tip on ciabatta bread was delicious. The meat was tender, the BBQ sauce was sweet with a slight tang, the chese and onion were good additions. The kitchen is open so you could see your sandwich being made. The dinning area was clean and inviting. The décor was rustic modern with punk music in the background. Overall a cool hipster lunch spot with good food. They also serve beers.

The RW Sandwich is exactly what SV needed. Amazing new addition to town. They hit on all important points to me 1. Amazing sandwiches and salads at a good price point made with fresh local ingredients. I literally want to try everything on the menu and plan to… 2. Service is friendly and welcoming with a super cute set up! There are lots of tables for groups and families and bar stools as well. 3. TV!!! I’m such a sucker for it but I always absolutely love a place more when I can watch the Giants while enjoying a bite to eat or even just while waiting for it to be made. 4. Drinks– they have local beer and wine and tons of yummy cold sodas and juices. Can’t wait to go back and like I said try the entire menu.

Righteous sandwiches abound at the Redwood Sandwich Co. Ive been here 5 times now and had a different sandwich from their menu each time. I am yet to be disappointed. This place is great!

SUPERGREAT! The sandwiches here are absolutely the best in the area period. They are priced very reasonably(nothing over $ 8), and everything is made in house. They are just simply doing it right. Young owners that are very nice and work hard to bring us great food with a pleasant atmosphere. Other new businesses(like«surf city sandwich») should take note of the quality, price points, and attitude. Thank you

I really really wanted to love this place. I am a huge advocate for locally owned and operated restaurants here in Scotts Valley so I got here shortly after I heard about it, to give it a shot! I will bullet point the pros and cons to make it an easier read: Pros: –Nice staff –Clean –Great menu options(salads, soups, and sandwiches) –Clearly they have listened to their Unilocalers on some things, as they have Dutch Crunch rolls now and an earlier review mentioned it wasn’t offered originally. So that’s a sign of a strong manager/owner when they listen to customers –Fresh Ingredients –The Chicken Caprese Salad was flavorful and the chicken was clearly fresh and didn’t taste stale. The pesto added a very nice light flavor to the sandwich without smothering it. Cons: –I was so VERY disappointed with my Mac N Cheese. I added a photo due to the fact I was so bummed. Mac N Cheese should be cheesy and furthermore, when it mention that it is a crumble crusted top, it should come that way! As shown in the photo, there were ZERO bread crumbs on top. Absolutely none! Not even mixed in. I feel a little cheated on this Mac. It has very very little cheese and no crumble top. Very disappointing –The Chicken Caprese could use a little more of a generous spread of Balsamic Vinaigrette on it to add a touch more flavor. I will try this place again, as some of my very favorite local restaurants had a rocky start, but after reviews and customer feedback they completely changed and are phenomenal! So my hope is that they continue to improve through listening to their patrons. More specifically, their Mac N Cheese needs immediate attention. With a brick oven, when you see Mac N Cheese with crumbled topping, at the VERY least… that’s what you should get. So that needs immediate attention. My assumption was it’d be this amazing Mac straight out of the brick oven, hot cheesy with crumbled topping crispy and baked on top. What I got, again, was so far from that, it was closer to Kraft Easy Mac(the Mac you add water to and zap 2mins in the microwave)

SOOOOGOOOOOD!!! Got the #8 Meatloaf sandwich. Redwood knocked it out of the park! Amazing grilled onions and killer meatloaf. It’s not a thick slab of meat, it has flavor people! All around great experience.
