Margherita cheese pizza with extra sauce. Tasty sauce, sweet not spicy. Nice balance. Friendly staff.

Takeout on a Friday night. A bunch of us were sitting by the fire pit, hankering for sustenance, so we ordered pizza to go, which is the business of CP’s. It’s a given that when people order pizza, especially to-go, they don’t expect to need utensils. But of the three pizzas that came to the house, one was inedible. First, the pizza wasn’t cut all the way through. Think about it: You’re outside with friends by the fire pit and you reach into the box to grab a slice. How many attempts do you make before you figure out that it’s not you being clumsy? A few of us tried. We finally figured out that, despite score marks on the edges, the pizza wasn’t cut. Not even close. So someone went back into the house to find a cutter. By that time, most of the topping had clumped so those of us who dared a slice were faced with eating gobs of cheese and stuff, and we discovered the reason the crust wasn’t cut. It was tough as a car tire and just as black. The other two pizzas were fine. But does that matter? How did this burnt pizza get boxed? How did it get out the door to customers? Someone at CJ’s was close enough to the pizza to do a crappy job of cutting it before sending it out. That same person should have noticed that it looked like a Michelin. It’s pretty simple: Check the pizza as it goes into the box. If it’s black, don’t send it out. If it’s not black, cut it all the way through. Two stars: one for each of the edible pizzas. *In the food industry, you never know who is at the table. Well, you might think you know, but as soon as you take the customer for granted or deliver poor product«just this once,» it’ll be a Unilocal junkie or the Michelin food guy, not the tire guy.

The most unbelievably delicious pizza ever! Ultra-fresh ingredients and very friendly service. I’ve tried the pizza both ways — with and without basil — both are excellent! It’s just a matter of whether or not you want a little extra flavor on your pizza(the basil is not overdone, it adds just a nice little something to the pizza). I definitely recommend this place if you haven’t yet!

I loved the thin yet slight chewiness of the pizza crust. Toppings were flavorful and fresh. Sandwich and bread were also delicious. Only downside is that there was no seating other than one picnic table so all orders are to go.

This place is awesome. Best pizza on the south shore. Also had some great jambalaya. Specials are also great. Keep up the good work.

Cp’s is just great. Everything I have ever had from there has been wonderful. They are a must try. Chris takes great pride in everything he makes and it shows in the product he puts out.
