If you’re traveling near Schyulkill Haven and need a place to stay, you’ll feel right at home at the Stone House. Your hostess, Theresa, knows the area quite well and is very kind. Just a stone’s throw from the Uptown Tavern and minutes from local attractions. Enjoy!

For the past two and a half years of traveling to Schuylkill Haven for work, I have stayed at a chain hotel about half an hour away. This past week I decided to try the Stone House and am very glad I did. When I called to make the reservation, Theresa promptly returned my call and was very professional. When my colleague and I arrived, she greeted us with a warm smile, walked us to our rooms and made several recommendations for dinner. We tried one – the Nutty Pear– and were pleasantly surprised. Theresa’s breakfast the next morning was great, and she was very accommodating, too. The rooms were large, beds comfortable and the shower with six shower heads was one of the best I have experienced in all my travels. I will definitely tell all my coworkers to stay there going forward and would recommend it for pleasure travelers, too.

What a great place in the center of town. You can walk everywhere. The house is beautiful and the rooms nicely decorated and spacious. Theresa makes a great breakfast and be sure to asked about the unique history of the house.

Excellent from the initial phone call. Theresa is a lovely and knows how to run a respectable B&B. We stayed on the top floor with a king and one twin bed, tv, ac and a huge bathroom with tub. Breakfast was quick and fresh and the coffee was just perfect. Highly recommend this spot.

Very awesome B&B. Vary nice-sized rooms, which are very good if you have a small kid traveling with you because our room had a king bed and a twin bed on the side — very cool! We had windows on both sides and it was so nice! When we went they had cookies in the kitchen which came in handy when we woke at 5:30am and had hunger pangs. The owner was very nice and gave us great recommendations for dinner and another place we used for lunch the next day. There are 5 rooms and 2 bathrooms but she doesn’t rent the rooms to more than 2 groups at a time, so this is a great place if you’re traveling with 2 – 3 sets of people.
