This is a a get and go place located in a little strip mall on top of a hill outside of Cressona. 2 nd time here both times lunch both times definetly had better elswhere. This time had their Sesame Chicken. Not any surprise when I opened to go package it was pretty much General Tso with a sprinkling of sesame seeds on it and I do mean sprinking. I don’t think there was more than 20 sesame seeds. Wife had Chicken & Brocoli which ws acceptable. The white rice was the standard but the pork fried rice was tasteless and lean. Spring Rolls was the best thing in the order. I guess they are the same everywhere when it comes to them. Anyway don’t expect any great Oriental dishes prepared here it’s definelty a grab go and fill up a quick substitute from other fast food places but not much better.

Most Chinese places I’ve been to will absolutely drown their recipes in grease and oil; Golden China’s food is clean, and their steamed dishes are free of oil. They are friendly and fast. There is just tons of plastic and foam container waste with each order from here, though I guess that’s pretty common for takeout. Still, it would be a nice gesture to use less plastic.

Your typical Chinese restaurant with all the typical food. Its the only one around in the area so if you are craving Chinese its an okay choice.

This place used to be really good but I think maybe they have changed owners. We used to eat here at least twice a month but the last 2 times we ordered it was not the same. General Tso’s used to come with broccoli and fried rice. Last order came in a small container with nothing else with it and the sauce had very little taste. I actually drove into Schuylkill Haven to the Chinese restaurant on Dock Street last week rather than go to Golden China, which is much closer.
