Just adding another review. because Darcy and her staff always do a great job serving up delicious food, morning, noon or night. Just had another great breakfast… french toast, mickey mouse pancakes, omelettes, fried eggs, corned beef hash, toast, cocoa, coffee. Family of 5 fed for about $ 35. If you are reading this review and looking for a nice local place to eat at while passing through Schoharie, stop here.

I am not sure but one of the negative reviews seem to be a little petty. I really don’t know what it matters what door the people use to enter the restaurant. The food is always good and priced reasonable. My granddaughter ordered the chicken tenders and wanted one more and it was no problem. They are very accommodating.

I would not return. My husband, son, and I stopped here before visiting Howe Caverns and it was not very good. My husband and I both found hard parts in our chicken, like they didn’t clean it at all. I had a grilled chicken sandwich that didn’t even meet the standards I would expect at a little league concession stand. The service was fine, but we were also clearly not «the regulars». The door right under their sign in the middle of the building is apparently not the door most people use. The regulars go in another door to the left into a little lobby between the restaurant and a real estate agency, and then through another door into the diner. I still don’t know why and I don’t plan to find out.

Maybe it was the day I went, but I wouldn’t return based on it.
Cons–
— Waitress wasn’t friendly and no one greeted us when we walked in or told us we could sit down when though no one else, but people working there were looking at us. Awkward!
— My three little pieces of haddock were like fish sticks in size, except there was less fish underneath my over-​cooked batter. (See photo. It is chips with a tiny bit of hard fish)
— Fries weren’t crisp or seasoned.
— Cole slaw had zero salt as well.
— My 4 yo child received a large portion of spaghetti. Sauce looked canned.
— My son ordered the two worst items on the menu, so there’s nothing to say about tortilla chips with cheese sauce on the side or a plain hot dog on a bun.
— No AC and it was hot inside!
Pros–
— Has its own parking lot.
— Looked clean.
