Great place to shop for the eastern European flavors. I tried the barnitsa and it was delicious.

I stumbled upon this little Bulgarian deli and convenience store by accident. I was trying to get across town without taking the freeways. When I saw giant lettering that said MLADOST(youth), I thought it might be Serbian or Bosnian. It definitely caters to the Balkan crowd. Imported goods line the walls and there is a small but well stocked shelf in the middle of it all. You’ll find everything from herbal teas to magazines. They also carry juices, coffees, chips and other snacks. But their meat and cheese display was what really attracted me. I’m a sucker for good feta and smoked meats. This isn’t the largest store, but the selection isn’t bad and it all looked fresh. I was very tempted to purchase their raw kebapcheta sausages, which is their version of chevapi. Next time!
