Gayety’s Chocolates & Ice Cream Co., Inc.

Was not impressed at all. The turtles were all all nuts. I could barely taste the caramel. The chocolate is over priced. The ice cream is nothing special. The black cherry didn’t have cherries in it. There are much better places in the region.

This is a pretty amazing place with great staff and fantastic retro items!!! They have such a unique selection! The staff is AWESOME!

Maybe people come here for the chocolate. The ice cream was a huge disappointment. No flavor and I was expecting something home made.

Special sundae is the best. I’m so glad they didn’t close this location. Everything is great here.

I have love love loved this place since I was little. Now that they have a closer location to my house I find myself here all too often, but now I am loving this happy hour they have on milkshakes! ½ price holy cow super excited! Yummmmmmmmmm

Really delicious malt milkshakes and gourmet chocolates. The staff is very friendly and know my name and order when I walk in! It brings a neighborhood feel to an otherwise suburban area.

Ok… I’ll admit it, the ice cream is pretty amazing but, lord DO they charge a premium for it.
Here’s the skinny:
The Sundaes are phenomenal.
Chocolate lovers need this place.
Kinda pricey considering that it’s ICE CREAM

I got the Fruit Salad Sundae — Huge, like all their ice cream dishes. Fresh fruits and a ginormous amount of ice cream. Banana Ice Cream is amazing BTW.
They have a veritable cornucopia of chocolate delights. If you’ve got a chocolate fetish, check this place out! I particularly like the Almond Clusters — choc full of almonds and smothered in delicious milk chocolate.
Granted there is A LOT of ice cream in their servings and the chocolate IS very tasty, I didn’t like spending $ 18+ on a Fruit Salad Sundae and 5 (FIVE) Almond Clusters. I’m not saying it’s a rip off but, damn… do they go to the orchard and pick the fruit themselves? Doubtful…
As far as the employees are concerned, they were friendly, helpful and patient as I was deciding what to get. The selection here is pretty large so… there I was staring at the menu, the ice cream and the chocolate for like 5 or so minutes.
I like Gayety’s, I’ll be back for sure… even if it is a bit pricey for an Ice Cream place.
