Husband and I dined there 1−27−16 and had a superb meal. Worth the drive from Saratoga. Started with the artichoke hearts appetizer and they were great. Husband had veal Marsala which was the best. The veal was so tender you could cut it with your fork and the portion was big. Enough to take home for another meal. Our compliments to the chef for the Marsala sauce! I had the veal malanaise and that too was great. We ordered a side of garlic and oil angel hair and it was done just perfect. Stopped ordering it at other restaurants because they just put raw garlic! Ugh! This was just slightly browned and tasteful. Beautiful restaurant. Will be going back often.

The first and only time we have been to this place was because we bought a Groupon. First let me say that the idea for an establishment to put out a Groupon is to get people to try their restaurant and hope they like it and spread the word and come back themselves. However, when we walked into the restaurant there was a big sign stating that we must announce that we are there with a Groupon… kinda odd. Let me also say that the place is big and was for the most part empty on a Tuesday night. But once Randy found out we had a Groupon and no reservation he told us it would take awhile for a table and for us to wait at the bar. We were going to buy drinks, but this was a sketch ball move. It was a Tuesday! The place was empty! Fast forward to dinner… we ordered the fried calamari which was good and my wife ordered a chicken dish which was mediocre. For my dinner I ordered a steak with peppers and onions on it. It was barely edible. It was like they cooked the steak with no seasoning on a dirty grill top and then microwaved a bag af peppers and onions to dump over the top. Use some seasoning! It’s not rocket science. I must have gotten«the Groupon» steak. It was bizarre… kinda like this place. You almost expect Elvis to show up to save the night, but he never showed so I won’t be back.

I’m still a relative newcomer to the Schenectady area and over the past couple of months, I’ve driven past this restaurant every weekday and noticed their marquee special dinners advertised on their storefront. Perhaps the most intriguing entrée featured their Prime Rib dinner special on Thursday evenings. So, I thoughtfully planned out my week and decided to venture out to Mr. Loren’s restaurant and dine; and I’m so pleased at the result! I was greeted and quickly seated in the main dining room where I was welcomed by my waiter. I ordered my meal and was soon treated to my salad and bread. Shortly after finishing this first course, I was presented with a nice slice of medium rare prime rib bathed in a rich savory au jus of beef drippings and seasonings. The entrée was served with a baked potato and a colorful assortment of streamed vegetables. I was extremely pleased with the generous portion of the prime rib cut and the accompanying au jus that it was paired with; the type of sauce that demands to be soaked up with your bread. The entire meal was delightfully delicious and I eagerly devoured every last bite. I’m usually a very big eater and this meal provided me with enough to satisfy my hunger; you won’t be disappointed. Service was attentive and courteous and I departed the restaurant with a satisfied stomach and a smile on my face. I would highly recommend this special meal to anyone; especially given the affordable price and the generous portions. I’ll definitely be returning in the future and also dine on some of their other weekly special meals. Thank you Mr. Loren for the welcome dining experience!

Dolce Vita means«Sweet Life» in Italian and I found a little bit of it and paradise in this wonderful ristorante ! Not only a romantic lovely setting n atmosphere but unbelievable food. I suggest the breaded artichoke hearts with both samples of the lemon pepper n horseradish dipping sauces for an appetizer you can’t go wrong with any of the entries. Desert was unbelievable a triple lemon cake with white chocolate shavings n homemade whip cream My taste buds died n went to heaven ! Also on the weekends after 8 pm dancing is available so for a lovely night out put a smile on your loved one face enjoy a night out n celebrate with Randy. He will sing your loved ones a song no one can resist slow dancing to

Food was overpriced and terrible. Felt ill two days after eating there. Food was frozen packaged and processed unlike the quality randy portrays to have. Also clams seemed to smell old and that should of told me to run.

I had a beautiful evening at Randy Lorens Dolce Vita. I went there for the Valentines Day romantic candle light dinner. The environment was very classy. Randy greeted me and my date at our table. He is a very nice gentlemen. The music was wonderful, and the food was great. They provided a complimentary Anti Spumante split for me and my date, and Randy handed mega long Stemmed rose. The staff is very friendly, and I would definitely tell my friends to have a nice evening at Randy Lorens Dolce Vita.

Randy was awesome! Prepare to have a great night filled with delicious food, lots of drinks(some on the house if you’re having fun) and dancing fun. At first we were unsure of the 80’s décor and atmosphere, but when the music started and we had a couple rounds of drinks, we didn’t care that our food took a little longer than most places. Randy truly delivers on the promise of the«Dulce Vida». He makes a point of coming by every table to see how everyone is doing. When our food arrived, after plenty of bread and appetizers, it was delicious and came in HUGE portions. My leftovers will be enough for at least one additional meals. When we asked for the bill, Randy told our waitress to offer us an after dinner drink on the house. Come ready for an evening of good times with whoever you’re there with. It was a fantastic night and we will be happy to go back! Thanks Randy!

Oh, where do I start? We walked in, it was freezing(it was summer). Mentioned it to the hostess(owners wife) and she promptly turned down the ac. The live music was WAY too loud for a dinner atmosphere. Waitress was sweet and nice, but seriously lacked experience. Salad took 3 bites to eat. We ordered the mussels ap($ 13) and nearly half were unopened(they profusely apologized and did not charge us), my husbands steak was under done, mine was over done. We shared, it was fine. The steaks were a good size and we had enuf to take home. Overall, I can say, we will not go back again unless we have a coupon.

Food was just ok. We had the calamari for our appetizer and the breading was too crispy and the calamari was chewy. My wife had the stuffed shells and the riccotta cheese was watery making me think they were frozen. I had the chicken Sorrento and it was good just a little salty. The portions of everything was huge, but the meal came to $ 90 for two adult entrees and a kid entrée with an appetizer. In my opinion the food(however plentiful) was not worth the money. There was also a lot of waiting around, we were there for two hours mainly because we couldn’t Keep our waitresses attention. Overall I don’t think we will return

Friendly, attentive service, nice atmosphere, well-prepared meals(fra diablo and randy’s chicken and eggplant). The portions were more than ample. Nice wine list. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and Randy’s singing.

YWe sat at 7. It is 830 and have yet to get dinner. Clams smelled awful. They ran out of steak. And its freezing. Feel bad for the waitress. Maybe randy should sing another tune.
