Love the food here! My favorite is ALL, but for the pic I chose bacon, tomato & ranch. Salads are great, but my favorite is Chef Salad. Has so much meat and veggies! Love the fast food delivery too!

The guy who took my order over the phone was EXTREMELY rude. It took an hour to get my pizza and the delivery guy had to call me twice asking my address because the man who took my order didn’t write it correctly, even though he asked me to repeat it twice. The delivery guy was nice though. The pizza – all grease and not very warm.

Cold fried chicken. Over done. Seriously late. They only got points for being open and breathing.

The real deal! Great crust! Good cheese and toppings and very reasonable prices. I had two slices that were every bit as good as any pizza I have eaten in NYC, Brooklyn, or anywhere else. Bravissimo!

Called at 6:11 was told 45 minutes. Called again 70 minutes later was told they were busy and they guy was leaving now for delivery. 30 minutes later I calle again and was told thats its life and that things happen and to get over it. When I suggested a credit he said«what do you want me to do? Get an airplane and fly it to you». Then he said«if you dont like it then go somewhere else». I will never order from this place again…:

At this point I cant leave a review regarding the food because Im still waiting for it to arrive. When I called at 6:11 I was casually told my delivery would arrive in 45 minutes which I can acknowledge on a Sunday evening. However, its now been 1.5 hours and Im doubting if it will arrive at all. I called and some jerk with no customer service skill told me the driver was just leaving. Even if this pizza is the best ever I WILLNEVERORDERFROMTHISPLACEAGAIN! Update: COLDANDSOGGY

Where is the best slice of pizza? Well, that depends. Which shops are closest to you when you need a slice the most? There is a great joy to having a local slice shop. A place where you feel at home. It’s your shop. You enjoy the highs. You weather the lows. And you get to know the pizza deeply. For a long time, The Pizza King was our local shop in Schenectady. When the king himself passed away, the place was just no longer the same. I Love may not have the same magic, but this shop makes a solid slice. The crisp bottom is unmarred by the telltale cross hatches of a pizza screen. Crust bubbles exist and they are glorious. The crust itself has decent flavor, and the end crust has a reasonable lift. My whole family appreciates the judicious application of sauce. It’s hard to walk the line of just enough, but not too much. I can’t tell you how many times I’m called into service to scrape extra sauce off my daughter’s slice at other shops. Is it brilliant? Not quite. But it’s good enough to keep bringing us back week after week. That’s no small feat. And now, it feels like home.

My family has ordered pizza from I Love NY Pizza at least 3x and have been disappointed with it in some way each time. The first time was delivery and the pizza was quite cold and very difficult to chew. Its as though they had a bunch of pizzas made and just reheated them. The second time the pizza crust was burnt and cheese falling off the pizza. The last time was the trifecta of wrong. Burnt, Cold and a soggy mess. 3 strikes and I’m out, maybe another time but only if someone else buys it for me.

Ordered the football special but added a couple of toppings on 1 pizza, got home but it was only on half of 1. Called and they made me a new pie, got there and owner gave me the old pie and new one for free– no problems. This is as stand-up as one company can be. Not only do they have my respect but loyalty as well! Great food as always.

At first glance, the place appears a bit run down, but aside from the look of the place, the pizza was good! Sauce isn’t overwhelming as some pizza places in the area have an overly sweet sauce which I find unpleasant. Toppings were generously topped and the price was reasonable. Would recommend to try it out.

I Love NY Pizza in the Upper Union Street district of Schenectady is one of the better pizza places I’ve found in the area, and is an occasional pizza stop for me. I Love NY Pizza serves a thin crust, New York style pizza and they do a good job at it, even near closing time when slices of pizza should normally be getting a bit stale at other places(the pizza still tastes fresh here). The restaurant is typical for a pizza place, which seems to handle mostly takeout and delivery orders, so you have the counter, easy to spot oven on premises and a few tables. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Schenectady and want pizza.

Flew into Schenectady for the first time and did not expect to find this gem. Pizza was authentic Manhattan street corner thin crust — delicious. Ordered a small Greek salad for my hotel room — HUGE with lots of olives and vegetables with so much Feta cheese I had to put it in a separate bowl. Also asked for a few anchovies on the side for my pizza and they gave me a container full of anchovies — luscious in olive oil. Price was super reasonable. They only charge a $ 1 for delivery. This will be regular when I’m ever back in town. Great food, generous portion and awesome prices. Oh and yo have to try the zeppolis. Wish I had this place back in Southern Cali.

The«I Love» experience. Usually when I go there it’s chaotic but the business is prompt. Parking can be tough and there is limited available seating in the Dining room… if you can call it that. Hehe. Anyway… I don’t think I have ever stayed there to eat. I always pickup and run. Generally I feel their pizza pie comes out great. I love NYC style pizza and usually they get it pretty close. Lately, though, I don’t know what is going on. The last three to four times ordering from there, I have experienced burnt pizza both on the crust and bottom. That just seems to ruin my experience. Anyone who knows me knows my natural aversion to anything remotely be-speckled by the black ash. I think it goes back to the days when my dad would make toast, and he always had a knack for burning it and then serving it– saying it still tastes good. Eat it.(Did I mention he likes pretty much all types of bread, seasoned with black dust??) But I digress. I just prefer not to have charcoal flavored pizza, maybe that’s just me. Hopefully they can figure that problem out soon. Maybe their oven temp is hotter than their thermometer is reading… Maybe they get too busy and forget to take it out in time and they don’t care… Maybe they are thinking«Hey we mostly serve high-school and college kids, they have indiscriminate taste… so they won’t care.» Well some of us do care and not all of us are college kids anymore. As an aside, I had a slice of BBQ chicken pizza with my wife and that wasn’t burnt. Usually it’s not the specialty pizza’s that are effected, seems to happen to me more with the cheese and pepperoni variety. Too bad, because that’s my favorite. I love, I LOVENY Pizza. It’s just time they get their act together once again. Please OHPLEASE check your pizza before it’s too late. I will update this review at a later date and see if they have resolved the pizza burning issue. I haven’t given up on them.

The Not-to-be-legally-confused-with-similarly-named-enterprises I Love NY Pizza of Schenectady offers fairly standard NY style floppy pizza, and a fairly large menu of side items including fairly decent hot wings and fairly disgusting(white parts of the iceberg/romaine, fake paremsan cheese, industrial dressing, etc.) salads. Our pizzas have had burnt crusts on both visits, but surprisingly fresh vegetables and decent-tasting meat, with somewhat indifferent cheese and sauce. The service is prompt(the counter can be a bit chaotic on busy nights, but the staff multi-process, so hang in there) and the prices, while not on the bargain side, are not expensive either. Pizza sizes are by cuts(the 12-cut being the biggest, and being much smaller than the epic large floppy styles of NYC, but that’s more to our liking anyway). The seating is quite limited and parking can be difficult, so it seems more suited to take-out or delivery than dining in. Maybe the burned crust bothered me too much, but that jarring little taste bomb of charred flour tends to sully what would have been an otherwise OK pizza experience. For now we’ll leave them with a somewhat marginal three stars, on the low side, and probably put them at the bottom of our Upper Union Business Improvement District Pizza list, but not so far down we won’t try them again down the road to see if they can do better.

I spent my first year around Schenectady looking for real pizza. I define that as the same pizza I got at hundreds of pizza joints in NY, LI and Jersey for 60 years. Every single place I ate did something to screw up the flavors and taste. I just wanted real conventional pizza. I Love NY Pizza got it! It ain’t great, it’s pizza! No spin, no story, no Greek, Polish, Chinese or Mongolian grandma. Just real pizza. And, if you buy two slices they throw in the soda. Go figure?

It may not be «retirement grade» pizza but it’s way better(and consistent) than some of the other local options. They make some pretty decent meatball sandwiches– nothing to brag about, but not regrettable, either. I take my pizza pretty seriously and these guys are ok by me(and they deliver quickly when I’m too lazy to drive).

I’ve had I love pizza by the slice after a long night of drinking at other locations… and they’ve always been good, if not great. But I just had a whole pizza I ordered at this location and it was below average. I must confess that the pizza was veggie(observing lent) so maybe that contributed to the lackluster. I don’t think I’d get a pizza from here again, when I know I could get a homerun at Homestyle for about the same price. They also use white onions instead of the generally favored red onions. The staff there was really nice though.
