Combo Fish Fry

Simply delicious. The coleslaw is so fresh. My absolute favorite is the Haddock on a roll. Crispy!

the only problem with this place is that it’s not open ²⁴⁄₇
the coconut shrimp is the best around, you get 8 large fried butterfly shimp breaded in coconut. comes with your choice of berry or pineapple diping sauce for $ 7.

I’ve been meaning to stop here for quite some time as I’ve driven by at the wrong time and the place was closed. I finally stopped in here for takeout very recently.
Combo Fish Fry is an old school seafood takeout eatery, located in the middle of the Mt Pleasant neighborhood. The place is very clean.
The menu offerings include fish frys (bluefish or haddock), seafood rolls (scallops, shrimp, clam), fried or baked seafood dinners (with fries & salad), smelts, calamari, chicken tenders, fried eggplant parm, crab cakes, fried foods, homemade salads (macaroni, potato, cole slaw, pasta salad), beans, and homemade rice pudding. The prices here are very fair, fish frys ($ 3.75-$ 3,95) and dinners are under $ 10 except the Combo Platter ($ 11.95).
I ordered a Boston Blue Fish Dinner ($ 6.75 plus tax) for dinner takeout. The food I had was pretty good for the most part. The piece of blue fish was hand breaded to order and deep fried. The breading was very crispy on the outside (not too greasy) and tender inside. The crinkle cut fries were very basic, freezer to fryer and fried golden on the outside and soft inside. Salt or no salt on the fries is an option. The homemade macaroni salad was solid good, creamy mayo based with firm elbows.
The owners were very friendly and also asked how I was doing as I stopped in.
