use some updates but clean

Clean and comfortable. Front desk (I think her name was Haley) was as nice as you could ask for. Can’t think of anything more you could want except maybe more light in the bathroom. Kinda dark.

For the price this is one of the least desirable hotels I have stayed at in its category.
If you come with kids they give you the saddest room on the first floor next to the road, which lacks a curtain, so you have next to no privacy. There is almost no service, the breakfast is meager, there are only two towels for 2 adults and 2 children, the rooms are cramped relative to its peers, you have to call your own cab, they are still using an old-​school TV with no cable, and the rooms are rather dark and depressing.
I am used to hotel card keys being inactivated if they are held next to a cell phone, however here the card key cannot even be kept next to a credit card, and hence, you cannot keep them in your wallet. Very convenient! You need to reserve a pocket just for the hotel key. Thank you Belvedere Inn!
The best thing I can say about this place is that it’s in close proximity to a sports bar, as the hotel does not serve food. But truthfully that’s not really a compliment.
The sole person at the desk (Hialeah?) is very friendly and accommodating I must say. Kudos to the sole person at the desk — we salute you! You are the highlight of the Belvedere Inn.
In summary, there are much better hotels to stay at in the area for a lower price. Honestly, I would never stay here again!

Very clean room, updated nicely. Helpful and courteous staff, home made cookies as we were checking in. Quiet, safe area. Good coffee available 24 hours. Would stay again.

Awesome stay. I like that the hotel has really high ceilings. In fact, this is the first hotel that I’ve seen with nearly 15ft ceilings. It was awesome and luxurious. They mentioned some of the rooms had been recently remodeled. Overall good place to stay for family visits and good breakfast options in the morning. Good location and good place to stay near Albany and on the way to New York.
