I can’t even begin to explain how horrible and rude the pharmacy employees are at this location. We continue to go back because it’s close to home but every time we go we come away more frustrated. We have never had one good experience here from one single employee. They talk down to you, act like you are a nuisance and will let you wait even when no one is in line. Is this how they train all pharmacy staff here? Be as rude as possible and provide the worst customer service ever? It’s very insulting and a frustrating experience each time. Today they screwed up an order and didn’t apologize but instead said «Well, you can wait if you want but we have no idea how long it will be. You are not our only customer». Are you kidding? Who says this? And they messed up! Please, please… someone in a position of authority at this store please address this. We DREAD having to get prescriptions filled here each month but it is literally right by our house.
I pray something is done soon with this staff. And I mean the whole staff… pharmacists, techs, cashier, etc. Not one good experience with any of them. So sad that customer service is declining so bad.
I suggest using another pharmacy if you can. Save yourself a million headaches.

I have been going to this Walgreens for over 3 years. It is really close to home… but it is the slowest service I have ever received at any Walgreens. Specifically their drive up window and pharmacy department in general. My average time spent in the drive up line is 15 minutes. Even inside the line is long and slow. Need more staffing to match how busy it is here. Drive through is supposed to be quick and convenient but not at this location. Poor and unacceptable service!

I give 5 stars to Flo in the pharmacy department. Smart, helpful, and friendly. She actually cares about people. Walgreens should beg her not to retire.

This is the worst Walgreens EVER !!! The customer service here is terrible horrible. The store staff and pharmacy staff everyone seems to be working as if they are doing a favor on us by giving us those medicines. The drive through here is a joke. I have to ring the service bell atleast 3 times before someone can show up at the window and very rudely say. Will be there in a min. Which they mean — we will come when we want … Terrible.

What a great store! I just found this location a month ago and its very convenient, with very helpful kind workers that always wish me good health. I came in for some necessities, enema kits, lubricants, herpicilian and real latex gloves (emphasis on the real part, I have been to Target and Walmart where they don’t sell real latex because of allergens… yikes!). I will say it is easy to shop there, signs and labels on everything and decent prices and usually not out of product that I need. I’ve been to places where it costs more for astroglide for a smaller bottle. Also they are really good about taking coupons even if they are expired. I just only wish they were open 24 hours because sometimes I get out of the Jack Hammers way late and am forced to go to Walmart *yuck* Its a great feeling knowing my purchases are taken seriously and discretely. Well its more of a great feeling after I use my products and I can relax. I give this location 2 Thumbs Up!

Do not get your prescriptions filled here unless u want to wait 2hrs. They always have problems. With 5 people behind the counter

While I only come here for the L’Oreal hair putty and prescriptions, the service is always a pleasant experience at the Pharmacy counter. I think it’s because I come here often and they know me by facial recognition.
The ONLY reason I give it 2 stars: I want it to be like the one at 151 N State St in Chicago. It’s so amazing, I am jealous that there’s only one of its kind.

This review is for the pharmacy specifically. Sadly, they just don’t get it. I am always frustrated which would explain why when I lived two minutes from here, I would still drive to Barrington & Irving Park Roads for my prescriptions. Now, I only go here under the most necessary of circumstances.
It was necessary. Last weekend. So I dropped off my prescription at the drive thru (the reason for two stars). The girl said it would be ready in one hour. So we went to my sister’s house. Then, about two hours later, we walked back to Walgreens to pick up the prescription. We waited in line. The girls behind the counter don’t seem to notice the line growing and growing as they chit chat. It is finally my turn. They can’t find my prescription. I spell my name again. They still can’t find it. Without explanation, the lovely employee proceeds to take the next person in line. And the next. What the heck!!! So, I ask what’s going on. I’m told that they need to verify (?) it. Huh? This thing (a tube of cream) was supposed to be ready over an hour ago. Forget it. I’ll come back. They don’t say anything. When I come back an hour and a half later, they are closed. I have to come back to Schaumburg the next day for a stupid tube of cream.
I drive back and pick up the cream.
The service is lacking. And they don’t seem to care. It’s sad.

There seems to be an inconsistency in the people that work here. Some of them seem very experienced and knew how to ring up stuff quickly while others had no idea and would refer you to the manager. The staff are nice enough overall. The place is a bit crowded and hard to locate things due to the density of the products but it’s a place to get what you need quick. The prices are higher than other stores like grocery or target type stores, so unless you find a good sale, I would say there’s no real reason to come here.

Holy cow! How could I have *never* Unilocaled this Walgreens? It’s been a staple since my childhood. Whenever I’m at my mom’s house, this is always the Walgreens I visit. It’s just familiar. It used to be a bit down the street and I even remember when they closed the old building and built this newer location! My friend also lived around the corner from here so I would often stop for last minute items before her BBQs (sunscreen, bug spray, etc.) Nice location, nice staff –I have never had anything but a good experience /​quick and efficient shopping trip at this location!

This is absolutely the best Walgreens of about 5 in the area. I drive a little bit out of the way of my house just to go to this Walgreens.
Why is it so much better? The employees– They are all very nice here and never give me a hard time for using a coupon. The store itself — Much more clean then other Walgreens as well as much better stocked.
If you need to go to Walgreens, I highly recommend skipping the others within a couple miles of this one and just come here.

Organized, clean and convenient. I love that you can walk into any Walgreens anywhere and know exactly where you need to find what you are looking for. They are all for the most part, set up the same. Steer clear of the lady in the Pharmacy with the accent. She does not seem to like anyone. Customer Service in the remainder of the store is pretty good and I always enjoy finding bargains of items on Clearance!
