Versailles on the Lakes Schaumburg

My experience with Allie Simao was fantastic. I was moving from out of state and Allie helped me finalize the apartment by going out of her way to click photographs of the apartment and the location. It not only saved me a trip but gave me a comfort feeling of what I was walking into.

This place looks very beautiful from the outside with lakes and fountains. I love the stairs and the view so I rent a studio, very very small. No sidewalks for pedants. So need to be very careful drive at night. Rental is expensive comparing to other apartments in this areas.
The leasing office is my nightmare. It’s mid Oct now and last night I don’t have heat… They can provide either heat or cool, but when they switch to heat, I don’t have that… I called them three time a day to confirm, they say it’s too warm outside or other reasons…
Lots of Indian families live in the building and they take walks in the doorways.

Worst place I have ever lived in, we moved from MN 7 months ago, we are current residents and for our fortune our lease is due at the end of the month. If you are considering moving in, DON’T do it, you hear everything around you inside your appartment, we have a 1 year old and it’ s really hard to get her to go to sleep since you can hear every step your upper neighbour makes.
The price is way to high for what they offer (2b, 2b and a the smallest kitchen i have ever seen, we also pay extra for parking $ 60 p/​m, our lease is $ 1,650 and you could think that with this price you will have all the comfort BUT NOOO, currently we don’t have AC, that’s right no AC when inside the appartment is 75degrees… and they claim that since their system can’t work with both Cooling or Heating the law forces them to provide heat until the 1^st of June… It’s so unconfortable!!!
Please save your selves, don’t sign the lease, they might be very charming and corteous at the begining, but later you will pay the price…

I had to move to Illinois very quickly for work and has to find a place. This fit that scenario. The apartments themselves are ok. There is underground garage parking for an additional fee and it comes in handy. I don’t like that the apartment controls when u have heat/​air. The patios are in I’ll repair and I suspect termite invested. I have a steady stream of birds on mine eating something out of the wood so I don’t even go out there. I also have Babar the elephant living above me. He starts stomping around 4 am each morning so definitely get a top floor if u move here. The exterior needs to be repainted. The concierge service is good if you can get them to stop socializing enough to help you.

Seriously, you don’t want to live here.

This place hasn’t gotten better in the 2 years I’ve been over here, and the leasing office is just… «meh»… Someone recently got assaulted in the parking garages, smashed over the head, and well details weren’t exactly released if it was a sexual assault also. Just… no, stay away… it’s loud, and the people are obnoxious, and not people you want to associate with and have as your neighbors. I really think they TRY to put out a high-​end persona, but it is anything but.
It is just dingy, and looks nice in the clubhouse, sure… but the actual units, and buildings, and neighbors are less than to be desired. No me gusta. :(
Shop around else where, you can find a better place to call home in Schaumburgland.
Steer away from these crap-​partments.

RUN DON’T WALK away from this place. Don’t be fooled. They start off nice, once you’ve signed they are tyrants. The place is infested with mice. I had them in my cabinets on the third floor. They never clean the public areas except the foyer where they use a dirty mop to smooth out the grime. When I moved out my last utility bills doubled and mysterious amounts were added that I still don’t’ have an explanation for. Be prepared to be woken up very early on weekends by mowers and trimmers. And if you need service in your apartment don’t let them in when you’re not there. If you do you’ll find dirt, stains, and chips on your walls and furniture. Later they will deny everything.

I had to find a place very quickly due to work. Allie in the leasing office was fantastic! I was shown the studio and 1bedroom apartment. The studio would have been perfect expect I missed out on that by a day. I ended up with a one bedroom and I couldn’t be happier. I have more than enough room, the building is quiet, I have fantastic parking in the garage for my car and motorcycle. Anytime I have had a Maintenence request it has been take care of promptly. They also allow large dogs which is a huge plus!
They always have monthly events and movie nights so plenty to do in the community. It is safe and like I said generally very quiet all the time. The only reason I have it 4 instead of 5 stars is I feel it is a little high on the rent, and application fees side but I personally needed to be walking distance from my business. I found a few other apartments but nothing as nice as here. They should just looking at the competitive market as I am sure they are losing people due to higher upfront costs with app fees.
I work in customer service and everyone is so quick to complain and I wanted to let people know what it really is like to actually like where you live, when it comes to apartments

We lived here from 2006 to 2011. Its expensive and tiny but the grounds are beautiful. We had an older outdated apt but they are updating as people move out. Staff was always helpful with us but they have a high turnover rate… I think one person remains from who was there when we moved out. They do a lot of nice activities for the residents. Never had a problem with smells or noises. Pools are nice and clean. Would recommend for someone who wants an apartment but does not want to live in a bad neighborhood.

The apartments are really tiny even if its a 2 – 3 bed room apartments. The exterior is amazing but DONT get carried away with that.
The staff is the worst I have ever seen. They are a bunch of b***ches ruining your lives. They can all give your different rates for any apartment and even if you fix a rate with one, another one will come and change it.
Its a safe place to be though.

Unilocal wouldn’t allow me ZERO stars, but… Do NOT setup residency here!!! Rude Management staff. The Models do NOT match MANY of the actual apartments. Walls are paper thin and they do NOT enforce any type of «be kind to your neighbor» policy. And get this… you pay for, but DO NOT actually get air conditioning. In the middle of the «Heat Wave» of March 2012, I can’t turn my heat off and my air on… not until JUNE!!! If you read this and still move in… wow!

Very nice exterior, but the interior shows poor craftsmanship. There are large (roughly half inch) gaps between the slide glass door frame and the dry wall. The staff is very unfriendly. They lock the doors to the office and will not let you in if they are with people. The clubhouse staff is very unfriendly and usually not at the front desk. Earlier poster said there is an indoor pool, just wanted to clarify that there is not. Also, you can get places that are just as nice for a lot cheaper. Positive, right behind Portillo’s. Otherwise, good riddance.

This apartment complex has been around for quite a long time. But the upkeep and maintenence of the property is so great, that it look brand new even now. The entire complex is beautifully landscaped, with fountains and big brick gates at the entrance. The apartments are also very well-​kept and they have many different apartments to choose from — from studios to three bedrooms. This complex also has its own little club house, with an indoor pool and fitness center. It is a great, safe place to live in Schaumburg.
