Yep. They sell tile here. All sorts of tile. In all sorts of materials, sizes and shapes. And if you’re remodeling any sort of flooring or bathroom, it’s worth a stop. While it’s certainly not the sexiest of stores, they have plenty of product to peruse for your home/​remodel needs.
Hubs and I checked out a handful of tile options at Home Depot and Lowe’s and couldn’t quite find the material/​color we were looking for. Thus, the reason behind our trip to The Tile Shop. So, 5 stars for selection, 3 stars for the overly chatty, fairly aggressive sales staff who barely let us look around for 5 minutes at a time before asking us what we wanted to go with. But hey, the man knew his tile.
If I take on another remodel project that requires tile of any kind, I’ll likely skip the trip to the mass home improvement stores and head straight to The Tile Shop.

The tile shop in Schaumburg was a awesome experience hands down the best out of all the tile shops around even century tile and many other tile company’s don’t amount to how great the tile shop in Schaumburg is and the customer service is on point 100% the best customer assistance around, I delt with Calvin and austin and they were great and the best! They treated us like family and not customers which is why I tell all my friends and family to go visit both austin and or calvin!

There are a lot of places you can go to find tile in the Chicagoland area. That said, The Tile Shop is where I go for my projects and where I send all my clients. The store manager, Calvin, is the main reason. Anytime I have an issue, big or small, he rises to the occasion and takes care of it. He has gone above and beyond in regards to customer service. He has been known to drive to other stores to get a few extra pieces of tile to fill an order for me, and he always makes time for whomever I send to his location. Not stopping with Calvin, the rest of the staff is always helpful as well. They have good decorative idea suggestions and overall a good selection of reasonably priced tile. I strongly recommend anyone to shop here for their tile.

The Tile shop had a decent selection of tile and stone. They had ok displays and the showroom was clean and well lit. What I did not like was wandering around for over half an hour and not one single sales person asked me if I needed help. I specifically asked for something from a sales person and it seems like a HUGE bother. I was totally turned off after that. My husband stopped in to pick me up and look at some of the displays and I kid you not when I say he was approached in less than 30 seconds within walking in the door. Seems like they practice «selective» customer service. The only thing that separates shops like this and big box stores is the customer service. So i’ll either special order from the big box or order online!

This place is as good as it gets! I used to shop the other tile places until I stumbled upon this place. Customer service is impeccable– bar none. There is no one like Calvin. I am a contractor and I have flipped houses for years, and in many years of being in the business, I have never had better customer service than Calvin at The Tile Shop. My wife, who normally doesn’t like to deal with this end of the business, has completely changed her mind because of Calvin. What’s so special about this guy and this place. First of all, the showroom is great. The amount of choices is wonderful and no one else has as much to choose from. Calvin is always ready and prepared to help. He took his time with us and offered intelligent suggestions. Calvin is always professional, courteous, and honest. Great place with great business practices.

First of all, it’s a good place to purchase tile because of the huge selection. However, my wife and daughter went there to pick some out for my daughter’s kitchen. After they did so, they were informed by the salesman that the subway wall tiles were the same thickness as the decorative ones that were to be used. I believe the salesman name is Tim. So they purchased the tiles and brought them home for me to install. So while I was installing them, and after the adhesive was applied to the wall, I realized that the subway and decorative tiles were of different thicknesses. I was too far into the project to take everything apart. As a result, the decorative tiles are recessed in comparison to the subway tiles — taking away some of the appeal from the job. So be warned — DON“T TAKE THE SALESMAN’S WORD THAT THE MAJORITY WALL TILES ARE THE SAME THICKNESS AS THE DECORATIVE ONES. MEASURE THEM YOURSELF. I don’t know if the salesman got lazy and just guessed or what. He should have taken a little time to make sure on the measurements and helped the women out. The place was n’t really busy at the time.

I had a minor disaster — a flexible cold water line broke under my kitchen sink– and half my house needed to be replaced. So, I was not a happy camper when I first came to scope out their porcelain tile collection. Even though I was «just looking» I got great help and all my questions were answered. And even though I had not made an actual selection, a quote was worked up which included everything that I would need. Based on their excellant customer service, I dedcided to purchase there and came back to make the buying decision. And again, everything was repeated — only this time with my selection. When I needed to place the actual order so that the installer could pick it up– I just called in and the order was already for me to sign within a very short time. OK, pretty good huh? What could be better? How about the tile I picked out goes on sale the day after my contractor picks it up and they honor the NEW sale special? Oh yes, I also love my new tile.
