This service was great the technician was prompt, courteous, worn booties in the house so as not to track snow in. He was honest without being pushy and talked directly to the landlord before he left. I would highly recommend this service to anyone who needs immediate attention — especially in this cold weather.

John was very professional and on time. He knew what he was doing and the installation of the smart thermostat was a breeze. He explained how to use the thermostat and offered helpful advice regarding the cleaning of the furnace air filters. His help was much appreciated. These guys came out quick, saved me money, and did some quality work. I seriously cannot thank them enough and wish that there were more companies out there like this one.

I found Residential on Unilocal and called for a service call. I spoke with Eric, who introduced himself as the owner. He was nice and friendly on the phone. We set up an appointment for the next day between 3 – 5 pm. He said that since we are first time customers, he’ll try to come out himself. The day of the appointment, I called Eric to ask how I can pay him and he mentioned to me that he had a family Wake that he needed to attend and that Chris was going to come out instead. He apologized and said that Chris is great and will take good care of us. And if for any reason we should have any questions, we can call him any time.
Chris came right on time. He learned that our circuit breaker had tripped and reset itself that’s why we weren’t getting any heat. He turned it back on and checked the furnace and heating unit to make sure they are running the way they are supposed to.
He was very friendly and explained what he did to my husband. They normally charge $ 94 for a service call, but since this one was so quick and easy, he charged us $ 74. Very nice and honest. We’ll be calling them again, if the need should arise. I am also a big fan of supporting small businesses.

Just bought a house in Schaumburg and was needing to remodel flooring/​kitchen on the first floor. One of the items was removing the soffit drop down on the 3 sides which drastically closed in the kitchen. When we had a referred HVAC guy (referred from Plumber) come in to look, he basically said it wasn’t possible. Fortunately, I knew Eric from all his work in the business community and gave him a call. He came out, analyzed the work, told us it could be done. In less than a day, he opened up the soffits to deliver exactly what we needed. And, he keep the price point low! I would recommend Eric and his team for any HVAC job. After getting competitive bids from 4 HVAC contractors, I selected Residential heating and Cooling to replace my 25 year old Bryant furnace that had served me very well. They are a Bryant factory trained dealer and the owner, Eric, presented me with many options to satisfy features and price. Additionally they helped me narrow down my selection by really discussing my needs, the heating and cooling load of my house and my budget.
Once I had selected the Bryant unit, installation was very professional and prompt leaving a clean site when all was done.
