Found them on-line and couldn’t have been happier. Michelle was SUPER fast with our two boys(both under the age of 2). We LOVED the cuts! Cannot wait to get back there. Don’t be afraid if no one answers when you call, as they could be busy cutting hair, or you can be like me, and call on their day off(oops). Just leave a message and you’ll get a call back. Very happy with their service, vibe, and thoughtfulness in regards to our children.

If u want a super friendly place at an affordable price for your child– this is the place to go. The staff there are very personable, laid back and treat you like family. They also have a little play area that my son loves. Just an all around great place.

Such nice people here. Took my son for his first haircut(1 year old). They were done in a flash and he didn’t make a peep. Not to mention he’s stylin’ now too! Highly recommend.

They did an ok job on my 1 year olds hair. The sides are a little uneven and they’re cut too high above his ears. They did get him in very quickly and we’re very nice.

Great place! It was my first time and I loved it! Michelle is a true professional! She cut my 4 year old son’s long hair style in no time exactly as I wanted. She really gets what you want just from two words! I definitely recommnend it! Much much better than those kids hair salon chains!

If you’re a talented hairstylist and have a way with kiddos, you should open up a hair salon for said kiddos in Schaumburg, stat. Why? Well, because Klips For Kids is pretty much the only game in town. And it’s certainly not a bad place, but there’s room for improvement. Before I even get to the pros and cons, let me just say that my daughter had a grand olé time getting her first haircut. Mary did a very nice job trimming her hair and in the eyes of a two year old being entertained + leaving with a lollipop, that is a rousing success. Pros: –Mary has a wonderful way with kids and knows her stuff about baby hair. –There are plenty of toys for kids to keep occupied with before or during their haircut –Super friendly folks who have been in the biz for a long, long time Cons: –They only take cash or check. Not a huge deal but if you are running around and low on cash, you’ll have to make an extra stop(because I never, ever carry checks and I don’t know many folks who do). –The play area and chairs were a bit grimy. Listen, I don’t expect sparkling clean in a salon aimed at children but I do expect the«car chairs» and play area to be wiped down and not speckled with lots and rogue hair and dirt. My little one pulled out a handful of hair from the open space in the car steering wheel where the horn used to be. With more regular cleaning and updated décor and biz policies(online reservations, updated website, accepting credit cards), Klips For Kids could have a monopoly on kids’ cuts in the area.

My son and daughter, now aged 13 and 14, had their first haircuts at Klips For Kids, and their most recent haircuts too – we are still loyal customers. My kids no longer have an interest in the play area, the lollipops or the balloons(although those were godsends back in the day!), but they do love the hairstyling results and the affection they receive from the Klips For Kids staff. I am always impressed with the quality of the haircuts and the attention to detail. Like the name says, the salon is for«parents too.» For many years, I have trusted the capable stylists at Klips For Kids to cut my own hair. At first, that was so my little ones could stay occupied and supervised during my haircuts, but by the time they started school, I had come to love the salon. I continued to visit Klips For Kids for my haircuts and color treatments because the stylists knew me and made me feel more like a friend than a customer.

Love, love, LOVE this place! Been bringing my daughters here for the past 4 years. Staff is so friendly and do a wonderful job with wiggly little ones. I highly recommend this place. They are closed Sunday and Monday and Tuesday’s are $ 10 haircuts for the kids.

The girl who cut my 2 year old sons hair was super nice and was the only part of the experience that was nice. Whatever spray she used to wet my kids hair had a fragrance to it so it wasn’t just water and gave him a rash! They do have a play area. The place was super dirty and looked like they hadn’t cleaned any of the toys since they opened 14 years ago. The cut itself wasn’t great. It wasn’t good either. I’d have done about the same myself at my house honestly. Wish there were more kids hair cut place.

We showed up this morning at 10am and Michelle was more than welcoming to me and my 2yr old son. We put him in the yellow VWbug and he started crying. He cried through the entire 10minute buzzcut but at least he was co-operative. He played with an Elmo toy and there were some cartoons playing on an overhead TV. Michelle was super friendly and nice to my little guy. After the haircut, she gave him a balloon. He didn’t want it, but it was the thought that counts. They have a frquent cut card. get 7 cuts, and $ 5 off the 8th. His haircut wasn’t anything fancy, just a buzzcut, but it was even all around. Buttcut was $ 11! I think a scissor cut came to $ 16 which is fairly reasonable. Hooray for Klips for Kids!

This place is so cute! Play area for kids with tons of toys, and a balloon and a lollipop on the way out! The ladies that work here are so nice and laid back! :) The owner(Mary) has a way with kids and you can just tell she really loves what she does(working with kids)! I would recommend this place to anyone with kids who wants an enjoyable & fun hair-cut experience! :) NOTE: They don’t take credit or debit cards, so bring $Cash$!
