Just received a board shaped by Andy. It’s perfect. He cares that you’re getting what you want and that the board will suit and serve you well. He was as excited (if not more) as I was about the board during the entire shaping process and couldn’t wait for me to take it out surfing. Great guy, great quality boards. Thank you Andy!

I was going to buy a lesson for the husband and just watch from the beach. But that seemed lame, since, after all, it was our anniversary. I talked to Joe on the phone and he encouraged me (and I don’t mean he «sold» me) to join in. It was fantastic, and fun and Joe was encouraging and patient and hilarious. Prices were good, no separate board or wetsuit rental. The vibe at Black Point was chill and friendly. (We are in our 40s and absolutely new to surfing and not terribly hip) I highly recommend the experience.

If you spent half as much time better managing your work flow and providing quality boards at reasonable prices as you do making excuses, Blackpoint wouldn’t be regarded so poorly among the local surfing community. It’s no surprise that Liquid Dreams, Maine Surfers Union and Aquaholics are all more reputable businesses. They don’t over promise and under deliver.
Here’s a tip: It’s never too early to start polishing up your résumé because at this rate you won’t be in business long.

Super chill, cool little surf shop. They rent and sell boards, sell clothes, supplies, wetsuits, and a variety of necessaries for your surf trip. Helpful and knowledgeable employees and a «can do» attitude. They were out of a couple sizes for shirts I wanted, but the selection of away and local items are sufficient for most people. Note that the shop entrance is to the right, up the short flight of stairs. Check out this cool place when in the area!
