The Pebble Steel watch went on sale and I was lucky enough to find it available at this AT&T store, so I made a short detour on my road trip to grab it. I was greeted by the manager of the store as I went in, and whom I asked for the availability of the Pebble Steel watch. Shockingly, she told me they didn’t carry it when there was one on display within my range of vision. I questioned her, pointing at the display, what she was talking about. She apologetically said that she thought I was asking for a phone. Fortunately for me, she went to the back and found the last watch available. Unfortunately for me, she made me wait for her staff to set the watch up. The impatient New Yorker in me got tired of waiting after about 10 minutes, after which I asked if she can ring me up so I can get the heck out. The staff was great, but AT&T’s training really disappoints here.

ATT Maine service outside of the SW cities and a few others is hopeless. If there is any service at all, it takes 3 calls and often a reboot to get one to go through; incoming calls never ring or disappear; voicemail and messages turn up 5 days late. Customer service is sympathetic, even sent me a warranty phone; but nothing has changed in a year.
