This place is no longer in existence but you can find all of this awesome food in a walk up counter shop called Zunzis on York & Drayton. Z2 was owned by Zunzis but has closed. The original Zunzis is amazing so look that up on Unilocal instead if you are scrolling through these reviews.

This place has changed ownership and is now called Nine Drayton. Food is good but probably the absolute worst service I have ever received. In addition, when we raised the issue, both the owner and the waiter gave us attitude and blamed us for the problem. The food took over an hour and still came out cold.

I almost walked out thinking I was in the wrong place but then it was explained to me that the restaurant changed owners and they kept the menu similar
That being said
I ordered an appetizer and never received it, at least I didn’t get charged for it
It was as if I never ordered it
The food that we got was good but I didn’t like the way the whole situation presented itself

Being a SCAD alum, I think all of us made Zunzi’s a dining staple for awesome lunches. I hadn’t realized they opened up a sit-​down restaurant, so we had to try it! The dining area was very intimate at night with the lights low, eclectic art on the walls, and a live musician playing at the back of the room. Betweenn the Fisherman’s Deck and the Portobello Mushroom sub with chicken and their special sausage, everything was incredibly flavorful and just amazing. Food came out really fast, and our waiter was very attentive.
Make sure to buy a bottle of each of their sauces to bring home! We’ve been making our own Zuni’s subs with them since don’t live nearby– those sauces are holy!

Checked Z2 out on a local’s recommendation & I’m so glad I did. The staff is incredibly friendly, the food was wonderful, drinks were great (granted I rarely order a complicated cocktail, but as far as whiskey/​gingers go – it was a great one). I had some hummus to start and the salmon entrée. Both were excellent. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food, especially when compared to competing restaurants in the area. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip into town!

I had heard many rave reviews about Zunzi’s so decided to give it a try. It really wasn’t to my liking. The food was uninspired. And the side items offered do nit go well wirh the dishes. The sauces were decent, but did not make up for the lack of creativity in the food. The most unique item is the South African sausage and it was way over flavored. It has the opportunity to be a great item, but the flavors are way too strong compared with the rest of the items. My cutlery was dirty when I received it. The staff were nice, although not very attentive. It is an overall okay place. Will do in a pinch, but I don’t think it deserves the reputation it has.

Short and sweet: waited a few for a table — but no big deal after I got ‘The Conquistador’ sub onions for tomatoes and added smoked sausage. Added the zesty ‘shit yeah’ sauce — and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had in my life. Cheers Z2!

If you can, and the weather is appropriate, ask to be seated upstairs on the outside deck. Having a quiet early dinner there was great but I think it would be even better after the sun goes down. Service was wonderful, the beer good, and the food unique and tasty. The Conquistador is one of the things I know they are famous for but I had the Portobello sandwich with the African sausage and left very happy.

Their rum punch was great! My wife and I sat at the bar and had a couple while we listened to live music. Great atmosphere. occasionally got packed when a pub crawl would roll through.

This is a great bar! We stopped in for a drink but ended up ordering some poutine too. The service was very friendly and quick even though they were training a new bartender. I was upset that we ate dinner elsewhere because the sandwiches looked spectacular! I’d definitely swing by for lunch too.
The bar was playing music and had a good crowd but unlike many other places you could actually have a conversation with the people you’re with and with the friendly bartenders; definitely my style!
If it’s your first time there, apparently there is an upstairs too; we didn’t realize this until we were leaving. Go check it out!

I was only in Savannah for a few days and had to come here on a friends recommendation. I got lucky enough to walk in during a slow time. I sat right at the bar, ordered the local IPA and the Conquistador sandwich.
YUUMMM — well worthy of being on the food network. It may seem like the most simple chicken sandwich you could imagine. But the SAUCES change everything. Seriously, drown it in both sauces, you will not regret it.
The service was really amazing as well. The bartender very genuinely thanked me multiple times for coming in and all of the servers seemed like they were really enjoying themselves. The vibes are great here, and it looks like they have live music pretty frequently. If I ever come back to Savannah I am definitely stopping in!

Hilarious and awesome staff get the fisherman a deck and Mac and cheese you won’t regret it !!! Love zunzis and its famous for a reason!

It was my first time here, I have been to the other one and I like this one better. Our server was tops! Food DELICIOUS!

Very cool hipster atmosphere with interesting food options. Both my boyfriend and I got the «Oliver’s Lunch» entrée, which was extremely filling! Not to mention, it was very tasty with their two signature sauces. The service was great and the prices were very low, making this experience a great one!

The chicken is sooooo moist here!!! Great sandwiches that are unforgettable! Oliver’s lunch is a huge amount of food and the sandwiches are packed with meat. Poutine had cheese that stretched when you pulled the fries away.

This was my first time going to Zunzi’s 2. I’ve been to the other and was expecting about the same as far atmosphere. I was wrong… It was an amazing relaxed kick back spot. Had live music that was relaxing and not over powering so you you can actually have a conversation there. The drinks were perfect I had there African tea with bourbon and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re a bourbon fan. I went with the classic godfather with both sausage types that were available.
If you looking for a sweet spot downtown by the market hit up Zunzi’s 2 you won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely fantastic. This place was great. Live music, fantastic food and outstanding service. My buddy and I split ‘the godfather’ and ‘the conquistador’. What a great decision. Both of these sandwiches were fantastic and the not keg is open late. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Savannah area.

If you are gluten free, GO NO FURTHER! This is your mecca!
The GF French bread for sandwiches is amazing (I usually steer clear of GF breads) and… get this… everything that goes in their fryer is gluten free! So, I ate calamari for the first time in years and was so so happy!
Usually when I visit new cities, I eat as many new places as I can. Well, for this 4 day stay in Savannah, I couldn’t talk myself into eating anywhere else. It was THAT GOOD.
Now I have to return home and believe me when I say, I will be dreaming of Z2…

There is a great deal of hype for Zunzi’s, and I’ll give it that it’s okay, but I don’t necessarily believe it lives up to the hype.
The dining area is small with large tables, so if you have a small party, be prepared to share your table with another small party — this is not a bad thing, just unusual. There is a small stage for live performers, but too small for a 4 piece band, so maybe 2 – 3 performers doing the acoustic thang with some sequenced tracks to help back them up.
We struck up a short conversation with the couple that joined our table about the food, and they raved about the conquistador. Personally, I was in a fish kind of mood so I went with the Salmon. Never had fried salmon before, and it was good, but I wouldn’t call it outstanding.
Our server, from Queens, was terrific, and she gave us the low down on the sauces, which truly complemented the meal. She was on top of our drinks as well and a great conversationalist.
I had to wipe down our silverware because it was covered in soapy spots, as were our wine glasses.
It’s a cool place and I can’t really say I’m a fan. I can say the place is okay and if I found myself there I’d try one of their sandwiches but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to find it again with the dozens upon dozens of options around Savannah.

Just as good as the original location but better atmosphere! This is the perfect place to come at nighttime and sit upstairs on the roof — nice lights, good view. The staff is hilarious and you have to have a certain sense of humor to understand them. Don’t take yourself too seriously.
I was boring and got the usual — Conquistador and African sweet tea — but hey, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! It was delicious as always… juicy hot chicken, yummy French bread, and orgasmic sauce. You gotta put both of them on… I did the red and then white sauce. Not sure which is the best order.
Next time I may ask to spike my sweet tea because why not.
